I have a crazy theory you won't believe it, so we know that Shigaraki quirk allow to decay anything he touch whether it living or non-living. That when I remember something about one for all burden, so basically if a person have one for all along with their original quirk the one for all quirk will burn the user lifespan causing their body and cells to decay. And that when I just realized it that maybe Shigaraki quirk came from one for all itself. How I think this happen is because when each user of one for all pass on the quirk on to another person with a quirk the burden continues to grow and grow so when nana Shimura died against all for one and one for all was passed on to all might, all of the past users quirks began to fuse with one for all and passed through the quirk singularity theory. Because of that the burden of one for all began to mutate and evolve to the point that it was reborn into the most deadliest quirk that will destroy everything Decay!! This was a crazy theory I came up with and this should be put as a video on RUclips. So what do you guys think of my theory?
Tomura Shigaraki's quirk has so much potential to the point he were he may be able to make t were if u even come close to him u will decay which would be godly he doesn't even know his true power but all for one does now i chose why he chose him i would to if i was him the power he holds HAHAHAHAHHA ITS AMAZING
the reason he doesnt need to use five fingers anymore is dude to an awakening it was never an option before second he cant decay himself he is automatically immune to it, hence the dry skin. his dry skin seems to be a side effect of his body adapting to the quirk third his quirk used to be really slow because his memories from his childhood were repressed, and yes training helped him make it more powerful but it had already been that powerful in the past when it first manjfested
Can decay work for degrading items? Or atleast can it be reduced in it's power? After all he himself doesn't decay, he just has dry skin. If Shigaraki was a good guy, could he have used this quirk to combat moistness?

i know the Quirk is so cool, especially the spread factor...but why would you want something like that in real life? all it does is kill and destroy...the most everyday hero you job you can do is probably garbage and wreck disposal...it would pretty much similar to my hero academia's 13 with her black hole quirk.
I thought of a broken potential shigaraki can achieve and that is the ability to generate and manipulate decay energy being able to make decay energy blasts, decay swords, decay whips, decay beams, decay aura, and anything else shigaraki can think of.
Here is my take on how his powers work. All things, even rocks, have sugars in them. What his power does is it removes all of the the sugars from the molecular bonds, in less then a second, through a energy wave, the energy spreading through the crystalline structure of the sugars, from sugar to sugar, like energy oscillating through quartz, forming a circuit, enabling him to affect a wide area, rather then just on touch alone. The molecules are untouched, and the bonds themselves are untouched, but, with the immediate removal of the sugars from the bonds, the bonds immediately begin unraveling, not fast enough for disintegration, but just fast enough for living matter to rot, and non-living matter to crumble.
Biggest weakness Shigarakis quirk has it’s the lack of potential. All the way from the start Decay has been good at only one thing: destroying. Even when the quirk has evolved, it has never had any other utility and probably never will have.
Question if shigaraki punches you with all 5 fingers tucked in, can he still decay you. And if he touches himself with decay. Does he decay himself or his own quirk?

Decay cannot activate against chi or "energy". So goku would still destroy him. Stop trying to outdo the OG man. Besides vegeta literally survived pure destruction energy and so did goku. I would imagine the haki blast way more powerful than decay. Basically this is childs play to them and would be like going back in time and fighting original red ribbon army as a god. Even if he was compressed he could blast his way out or use force in expelling enegy while powering up just as gotenks and buu did with the hyperbolic time chamber with his scream etc.. I imagine it would be the same size for whose in it as it would just shrink the item or person inside a bubble just like antmans suit to get to the quantum realm.
