My brother in law was on HMS Penelope and my Cousin on HMS Glamorgan, having family relatives in the conflict sharpens the mind and memory. As soon as I heard Starmer on this subject, I got the impression he was using his uncle like he used his son to get him out of a corner. No better than a Walt. To be honest, I find him disgusting to use it in this way.
I stayed up most of the night watching different news/ TV programmes to see this "once in a 1000 years hurricane". I have driven in worse weather in Scotland than I saw. The live chat included those in Florida & different areas & kept on seeing " when is it going to hit" during the time it was supposed to be "hitting those areas"! I saw 1 camera slip sideways; 3 large bags blown across the road; several trees bending in the wind & the side of 1 gym being blown in due to water surge. Also drivers driving cars & people standing upright in the wind filming! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Yes it only made landfall as a Cat 3. While this is obviously pretty horrendous and does a lot of damage, it's also pretty "normal" as far as hurricanes/cyclones go. I lived in a cyclone zone in Australia and you just have to prepare for them. If they are going to be too bad, you leave the area and hope you still have a house to return to. I think all the scare-mongering is par for the course these days whatever the situation to support/further the agenda of the climate lunatics.
If any threat had been made from a singer & her Mummy ALL concerts should have been cancelled and a warning not to tell the UK what to do. Over rated not a good singer either IMO! Would have saved a lot of taxpayers money! The UK should send an invoice to Swift for the cost of this farce SHE SHOULD PAY FOR!
