I am looking forward to getting these as well as Philips Sync. It is going to be amazing when I have all my lights synced with my TV and video game setups.
Saw both your vids about Hue Go setup and Hue play setup. What combo would you choose if you have to keep one for your ambient light desk setup? Double Hue Go or double hue Play? And why? I'm hesitating.
I had no idea there was a desktop program and you could sync the colors to stuff on the computer monitor! I may end up buying this at some point. Very cool.
Inazuma65 just be aware it massively impacts on the cpu for gaming and doesn’t sync well for music. Was more distracting than anything whilst gaming IMO. Ended up sending them back.
01:09 was a really good information. Philips Hue Smart Hub on Amazon is $59.97. So $ 59.97 plus the price of Philips Hue Play Black 2 $129.99 is $189,96 before it works.
Nice video bro. Do you think I would benefit a lot to get a twinpack + a single one of the play bars, when attaching them behind my monitor? So you'll have 3 addressable colors, two to the sides and one to the top? Mainly for hue sync/gaming
Hi, how should i place them in the back of my monitor? Should I place them on the stand and left right or on the middle back of the monitor slightly to the left and right? I have an ultra wide 32 inch monitor
Yes sold separately and it's pricey I bought two pairs and each one I couldn't not use found out I needed that bridge sent them back and would not buy them
I got 2 meter stripes behind the desk and two hue go's and I think it's amazing... 😅 But now I see this video and i want two more hue play! (behind my 34 inch screen...) 😅 👍🏼
@@Thetechchap you misunderstand, those options apply to the "Use audio for effect" toggle below it and appears to effect the brightness spectrum for the flashes when it hits a beat.
Theres only 1 way currently to do that and thats run your pc through your tv and run sync ..... There is an altervative though and thats .... Dreamscreen .... Its an hdmi splitter backlight ....
I can't wait until they start rolling out a Hue Sync App for Smart TVs. Hooking up a laptop to my main TV is a pain, although the effect is awesome. I hope this is something that is being worked on.
Do you think it is too much to have two of them on the back of my 27-inch monitor (in the same way you have yours mounted on your monitor)? Is there not enough gap between them because I don't have an ultrawide monitor or would it be ok?
No worries, I have two Play lights as well, and I have an ultrawide 34" screen, I put one of the lamps behind the screen and one on my right, so the one behind responds to the colors in the center of the screen and the one on my right responds to the general color setting of the scene on my screen. Putting two of them behind a 27" would be a little too much, put one behind and one to your side :)
Love this video and the light bars. I have having issues taking off the light bars off the back of my monitor as I feel I need to re position them but the 3m adhesive is very strong ..any suggestions how to take them off
Just wish Hue had a global group & scene feature, would be really cool. Unsure if they finally did add this, so if did....sorry; but for what I've used, no such feature & for the price tag of the Hue ecosystem, they are the most expensive smart bulb on market
I read that these dont work with Phillips Ambilight Hue (Tvs) which is stupid. Is it right to presume that "Hue" also can produce much better effects to the screens actual colour (for gaming) even though it does have some delay to the Tvs own lighting. Can you demonstrate these new lights with BF5 or other games like Horizon 4
I love what you offer and I have almost all your clips, poverty prevents me from buying so I watch my heart torn but this is my destiny, good luck 😔😔
This was such a clean video Tom, I always find your videos visually stunning. Well done man!
I've got 16 bulbs being delivered tomorrow. Half white half color. I CANT WAIT!
I must say out of all your Philips Hue video's this one is amazing . The Hue play is so tempting
great setup! could we have a link to your wallpaper? I have un ultrawide monitor too and I'd really like to add that picture to my collection :)
Got a pair of these paired with an OLED, absolutely lovely.
Where did you get your wallpaper, it looks so good!

Great video. What wallpaper are you using?

Good video, love Philips Hue and would love to sync with my tv, I was wondering how it worked with a PC. Good demo 👍

@@ipad30Thanks. I'll avoid it then.
I've been waiting for these to show up in stores for a while now!
Can you pos a link to your wallpaper?
Brilliant video and explained very well, love your setup.
Really well made video, but I’ve one question... Where did you get your desk from? It looks great!
Great video can you share wallpaper name or link ?
You r the best mate 🍻

I love it! This is what I bought Hue lights for. Nice video!
Please share a link of those wall arts... really love 'em.
Like your desktop wallpaper Tom, where can it be downloaded from, please?
Just Google 3440x1440 wallpaper paper under images
I like this. So do you not need the sync box?
You just need the bridge (and some colour hue lights), and the free Hue Sync app on your computer.
Hi! I have a question:) it is possible to sync with the tv? If i want to sync from a movie that i play on my bluray reader... ls possible?
Thx for the review!
For a nicely spread background light, do you recommand the go or play bar?
what monitor did he have looks really good
Perfect review! Please keep reviewing these Hue products!
These lights make the setup look crispy! What monitor are you using in the video?

I love Philips I own most of them except the new one you have... Big fan new subscriber.Thank you for the video.
Love this one! have it as well!
I really like the look of this desk, it seems like it's very wide and can provide lots of space, what is it?
looks cool with everything hidden. The hue go's are nice but too symmetrical, maybe one further off the side as a stand alone, like a desk lamp.
Oh good thinking!
Hi, how should i place them in the back of my monitor? Should I place them on the stand and left right or on the middle back of the monitor slightly to the left and right? I have an ultra wide 32 inch monitor
Bro the quality of the video was awesome. Can we see a collab video with mrwhosetheboss in this channel???
definitely something i'll talk to him about! 😃
This is so cool! So is your channel and this video! Thanks for creating such cool stuff for us everytime
Soooo does the bridge have to be close to the router or modem for the lights to work?
Where do you get these awesome desktop themes?
Please share your wallpaper :) Nice lights!
DAT wallpaper! Can you share it?
I want it too
wow this lights is very cool !
Would you say it is worth it to replace two Hue GOs with those new Play bars?
Do you have to run these through a hub? Even if we have an ambient tv...
Really nice Tom. I do want to get Philips Hue in my home but they are soooo expensive. One day maybe!
i got them, and its really awesome, love them
I'm just wondering if you can make the light go from red to blue slowly back and forth?
To get it all to sync you would need a Hue light strip right? ,it cant be a third party light strip?
Yes sold separately and it's pricey I bought two pairs and each one I couldn't not use found out I needed that bridge sent them back and would not buy them
Is one of these enough to bring enough light to be installed behind my monitor?
The starter pack comes with two.
I got 2 meter stripes behind the desk and two hue go's and I think it's amazing... 😅 But now I see this video and i want two more hue play! (behind my 34 inch screen...) 😅 👍🏼
Is their any other way to use them without the bridge ???
This is super cool.
Thank you for mentioning the function with adding new scenes inside the Hue app. Didn't know that before!
Great video mate
Very cool! The light can be changed with the game interactions exemple logitech g650 lightsync?
? Do you have to sync the lights threw a laptop or PC
I believe those buttons for 'Subtle' and 'Intense' are for the audio effect mode and determines how sensitive it reacts to the sound.
Works for video and games too
@@Thetechchap you misunderstand, those options apply to the "Use audio for effect" toggle below it and appears to effect the brightness spectrum for the flashes when it hits a beat.
I wanted to sync this with TV scene and not with a pc, any way of doing that? Thanks

I love you're screen
Can you set the position of how high the lights are using the app?
Wow, how cool!
Can you use echo spot to control Philips hue without using hue bridge. Hue bridge is not available to purchase in amazon CA
So cool 😍
Do Philips hue lights work with dimmer switches (not philips hue dimmers) instead of normal switches?
What do you think of Logitech g560? 2.1 sound system with lights like these
Where can i get the wallpaper?
@Tom, Can you help me with which RX580 from black friday deals(Newegg - $199) I should go for ??
very cool, How on earth do you keep your cables so well hidden. I have so many peripherals and stuff that I have cables everywhere!
Haha well it is a problem I just tuck them behind the cabinets
Do you need the philips hub when you only have one light bar?
guessinn this can connect to a ps5? with the “gaming” setting in app?
Beautiful 😎
really fantastic

Nvidia shield can do this with the huestream app
How do you attach the stands? Just got mine and cannot see how to.
I like your set up.
Where can I get your desktop background?
Ngl. Might buy one after Xmas after watching this
You are an amazing youtuber, you definitely deserve more subscribers... Thumbs up Tom... Even though Linus (Linus tech tips) bashed it
Thanks man!

The UltimatePeanut I was thinking just to have a light strip all the way round. I think that would be better and is also cheaper XD
@@joopstheboi that setup literally makes no sense? one behind and one to the side? get the fuck out lol
This is awesome video.. keep it up
Can i use the strips with the bridge for gaming?
Can it also Change the colour with the tv like a ambilight tv from philips ? Im searching such a Solution for my tv
I need this 😍😍😍😭😍
Hi! Can u tell me the size of the desk?
Love this video and the light bars. I have having issues taking off the light bars off the back of my monitor as I feel I need to re position them but the 3m adhesive is very strong ..any suggestions how to take them off
When’s have on Amazon?
Tom that video was amazing just wish youd do more collabs
Dope 🔥
Heavenly😍😍
Do you need bridge for these?
dream home set up
Have a try on "Hue Dj" application, which you can download from google play store, it makes fantasy dance dj effects
Nice vid Tom! Just waiting for you to buy your own house eventually, hopefully not long to go haha
I know what I want for Christmas 😂

Just got some...fuckin love it! Sooo tempted to get 4 more bulbs..its truly soo amazing, that i see nothing wrong with it! Worth the money!
The thing is, many of the cheaper alternatives Will fuck up your connection if you got alot of them
I also have an Ultrawide but 25 inch one...
Hi,
I was wondering which is the best to get for a gaming setup. PHILIPS HUE lihhtstrip, two HUE lamps or the first product in this video.
I'd start with a lightstrip, then get play lights, then maybe lamps?
@@Thetechchap Ok cheers man
Philips hue time!
it's that time of year again ;)
