    This was me yesterday. Really needed that last stretch. Trying to do some of these in class, then the bus home. Once home, it was came on. I was able to reduce the migraine pain caused by shoulder and neck pain. Also used my shepherds hook to hit a few spots next to my shoulder blades. Excellent work as always!!

  • @Lucinda_Jackson
    @Lucinda_Jackson 11 месяцев назад +8

    These are great!! Again, some of them I instinctively did, some were partially included in some exercises demonstrated at my workplace years ago. But most were incomplete. You showed so many others and your instruction are so complete and thorough! I've suffered from severe, debilitating migraines and cluster headaches all of my life (even as a child) and many years ago doctors told me I couldn't help the pain through stretch and massage of the muscles in my neck, head and back, although it felt to me that I could get at least momentary relief. It only made sense to me when so many felt like they originated at the base of my neck and then moved up and over the top of my head, ending by wrapping around my eye. Once I'm in the throes of the headache, it doesn't help much, but if it loosens its grip a bit, I can lessen its new attack. When I can feel the headache begin to subside and that "migraine hangover" feeling start to set in, the exercises have helped shorten that period and short circuit any new headaches that might start up. Now that I have the full arsenal you've given us, I am feeling so hopeful that I can be even more proactive and lessen the magnitude and longevity of the intense pain. Gratitude doesn't come close to describing my feelings.

I watched this video yesterday and did the exercises and I still had pain but I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a week and not woken up in the middle of the night in agony. The next morning the pain in my neck went from 100% to 20% overnight. These exercises really do work so please give them a try. Thanks for your help it was much needed and greatly appreciated. @@Boricua0082 yes! I recently started going to a chiropractor this year and she explained how different areas in your spine can get pinched and affect different systems in your body.
      I had severe head fog, headaches, and had unexplained high blood pressure till we started working on the vertebrae in my neck. After a couple months I feel like my old self again. I'd def suggest getting X-rays of your neck if you think you may be suffering from something similar and/or seeing a chiropractor

    chronic back/neck/shoulder pain here, today inspired by the doctor's videos i did more neck stretching than usual and more strong a bit with pops, i used also hemp cream and a red light device that heats in the tissue depth, and all seem to have helped and naturall discovered a diagonal stretch of the neck to both left and front, diagonally, that seems to stretch a certain muscle or tendon and also popped a bit on the upper spine that used to be very curved toward the right side and i think is now a bit more straight...now, for instance, i am staying in a position that i used to think is a bad one for the neck, but in fact it keeps that muscle stretched and is the only comfortable position for me - in any other, sitting, lying down or standing or walking there is always pain there on the right neck, spine and shoulder but i found this position tucked in, head to the left a bit that theoretically i was convinced makes a bad curve on the neck and the hump but in practice i see that it gives me some relief and i really want to train my body to accomodate with relief and with letting go... thanks doc!

    Those were very helpful since I'm having some neck issue mostly on the right side I do a chair exercise at the senior center every Wednesday I try to do every Wednesday got to go to eye doctor appointment today I had cornea transplants 3 and 2 years ago they did the right I then they did the left eye so I have to miss chair exercise today plus I have to miss my chiropractic appointment also that I do every Wednesday I had fell down and I didn't know I had hurt myself so bad a couple of months later I had the worst pain in my left side arm and neck it was fiery stinging electrical pain and I've been going since April of last year 2023 so this April will be one year I've been getting adjustments every week Dr Wright's a good doctor of sports medicine chiropractic he's been doing it a long time he's really helped me that's why I'm trying to do the exercise I want to build the muscle better to hold my spine better to help my conditions cuz I do have some you know degeneration in the disc compression from gravity and whatnot injuries I'm 63 I've been in 10 wrecks not my fault the last wreck made me disabled that was 2009 crushed both my wrist crushed my femur above my knee looking like crushed ice pack together as it was healing had two surgeries and a compound fracture Midway on the side of the left leg femur two surgeries one leg for 2 years in a wheelchair for 2 years they took phone out of my pelvis to add to my leg and some Dupont stuff to keep those bones together with bridging but it broke so that's when I had the second surgery and got its shorter plate in my leg and I think what you were calling the suboccipital muscle and it runs down along the bottom of your ear you know behind your ear and to the side that's really loosened up now and then he did do some adjustment to my jaw because it was off out of line and and after I first had the wreck because a man did a stop Roll On Me DR Haughton was my chiropractor and he had adjusted my jaw on the right side that was 2010 present day Dr Wright just adjusted my right jaw cuz my teeth were hitting wrong and I Grit my teeth 24/7 and then the next time I went he did the right side and the left side adjustment to the jaw and I still got a lot of tight right there at the jaw you know before the ear and then it was running down that long muscle kind of behind the ear unit down the neck around the back and over the top of the ear toward the temple where you were showing the red shading above the ear the ear so these stretches I can feel really good for that tightness thank you so much❤
