Thank you, this was very informative. I assume in most cases if you are not looking to have a shallow depth of field, and you're set to let's f8 plus, you can use the highlight weighted mode, it will have the same effect, am I right ?
Hi, Thanks for your question The highlight weighted mode preserves the highlight in the scene. Nothing to deal with depth of field. If you have any bright source of light in the scene, this mode will expose the picture in order to keep this source not overexposed which can lead to a very dark picture. The spot meter, measures the light at the point of focus and expose the picture according to this location The touch AE spot meter allows you to measure the light as a spot meter (in a very narrow area) but somewhere else than in the point of focus. So yes, if you use this mode and select the area of the brightest light in the scene the result will be the same as if you use highlight weighted mode.
Dear one suggestion,as the screen of the camera is not clear you can connect via tether app and by using one have 1 window for you and another for the lcd
@@DidierMOULINPhotography me too. My suggestion it is about the way to make the mountage of the video before publishing. You give us a lot of powerful and useful tips and I just shared a suggestion to make your video better (video not the contents where you do already more than any other!)
@@fabrizio-6172 Thank you so much. I spent more time at the beginning of my channel on each video, I have to admit but I have less time those last months for me. I tried to make it short and did it quickly following your request that I found relevant. I'm preparing a new one on the Leica SL2 to show all its weakness and why I won't keep and and stay with the Lumix S1R... keep connected ;)
You are my light in the S1R world ❤️
Thanks for this special video!!!
I am sharing your channel to my friends all Panasonic owners
you're so kind, thanks a lot. The Lumix S1 series are superb cameras and I'm eager also to test the S5 because of its size and weight...

Dear, I’m a photographer... not a videographer unfortunately!... but I made the focus on the screen at least!
