This is such a useful video as I have just purchased a Panasonic Lumix S1R. I do have a question about shooting still images in vertical (portrait) mode as I cannot find a way to rotate the shooting information (mode/metering/aperture/shutter/histogram) in the viewfinder or rear monitor - in vertical/portratit this information doesn't move and you have to (try) and read it at 90 degrees anti-clockwise. Is there a way of rotating this shooting information? Many thanks (Tony)
On Nikon the D810 and later there is the option for exposure delay mode (like shutter delay) . Does Lumix have the same? I just traded in my D810 for the S1R. Thank you.
Hi what do you mean exactly I’m afraid I misunderstand. Yes you can press the shutter and wait 2 or 10 seconds before the exposure is done. But I think this is not what you mean
@@DidierMOULINPhotography This is exactly what I mean. It's supposed to be in case you don't have a remote. It activates the EFC on Nikons and keeps the camera still before the shot. Even the Z6 and Z7 have this.
@@DidierMOULINPhotography yes , sorry for the late reply . For some reason the notifications were not on for your channel . Last question , can you do one touch %100 magnification during image play back . It’s the same thing as %100 zoom in during image playback with one button touch .
hello there maybe you would know , how can I uncouple AE lock from the shutter button ( I want that the camera is constantly adjusting AE - NOT LOCK IT )
Hello. No problem on my side. I read a lot of complaints regarding the firmware update but hopfully I have no trouble. Sorry for not beeing able to help you.
Hello thanks for all your videos I received yesterday the S1R and I have a curiosity... With my Sigma SD Quattro I am able to select on the screen a specific point where to point to for the metering in spot mode. Here how can I do that?
Hello Thanks for your message. You have the option to address this function to any button and once you press it you can select a point to make the measure different than the point to make the focus. I explain it into this video
@@DidierMOULINPhotography i guess I was not clear. If I set the spot mode and then I tap on the screen the camera does also the focus but I was have exposure and focus to 2 different points. Does it possible?

Thanks Julian. I’m pleased that this video gave you some tips and tricks to enjoy even more your Lumix S1R
Thanks, Didier, that was very helpful. I made a few adjustments on my set-up based on your overview.
Really enjoyed this video as a new S1R owner. Keep up the great work!
Very helpful. Thank you.

Well, as far as I know this is not in the firmware today
The Nikon Z9 does it for instance

Do you mean mirror up to get rid of vibration? There is no mirror...

@@fabrizio-6172 yes it is possible of course. That’s a key point of this S1 body.
Check where I explain what I do with the Joystick if I remember well
It can only record 15 minutes kinda booboo
did you solve this issue since?
