Fantastic info. The big S is overlooked by so many people and it's a terrific camera. You're proving the S can hold it's own against the others.

Please make more videos about this camera and everything related to it. I am also a user of the S1R and I would like to know what other users in the world think and how they use it. It's hard to find information about this model since most people have either the S1 or the S5.
Thank you very much, greetings from Mallorca, Spain

@@fortemke great work, such an underrated system. im a long time nikon shooter with two s5 for video work, but now getting antsy and would love one ecosystem. i know you've made the switch from nikon, anything you miss? and do you know of anyone else doing photo at a high level like you w lumix?

If you save settings in advance on memory card, you can just swap it to a new camera and that it. Or ever can share with us your settings without destructive permanent changes of settings. Such a smart on S series. S1r is absolutely underrated beast. The best camera from user experiense and ergonomics, no need to mention amazing image quality

Shooting flash with ttl with godox is super annoying because there is a noticeable gap between preflash and main, which isn't the case on any other system. Just makes it slow and cumbersome. So, I also switch to manual. Not sure if native flashes are the same. It's a big flaw in my opinion.

I've had the same problem over here. It almost looks like a sensor jitter of some sort. I have not been able to find a solution either - super frustrating!

@@fortemke I noticed that Turing the IBIS off (and shooting above 1/250) really helps me :) Give it a try and let me know .

Great! Thanks guys. Personally I added the S5 II… so much better with the phase detect autofocus. I hope they refresh the S1 and S1R with the new autofocus system. The size of those cameras is much more comfortable for me.

Would it be possible to updated S1R with the new hybrid AF system? Owning it, working with it, loving it! Greetings form Poland guys. Thanks for your videos.

@@m.w.1546 No it is not possible to “update” the S1 and S1R via firmware to the new autofocus system. It will be a whole new camera body. That is what I meant by refresh!

Why is flash photography with today's cameras so complicated? In the older days you just needed to put a constant aperture and speed on the camera and the sensor of the flash did the distance calculation, so simple.
