This does bring an interesting question to mind, what should we count as a “Drama” channel or a “News” channel. Where is the line between journalism and being a gossip rag?
News = False since he simply reports on shit happening within the community and doesn't have to report drama if he doesn't want to
Drama = Depressed Nousagi whose channel outright feeds on drama. Khyo as well

The line between news and drama is whether or not there are ramifications beyond hurt feelings/insults. For example: abuse, fraud, terminations, criminal activity, etc would all count as news.
If they're willing to sit on a story and let more evidence come in, they're News. If they rush to be the first to report and don't do any vetting or checking the translations, they're drama. It's a gradient and some do better about vetting then others.
False will sit on stories and reach out to an accused party for their side. Recently, he sat on the story about Novel Horizons holding Grimi's Hot Sauce. False reached out to Novel for a statement, which probably sent them into panic mode and Grimi ended up with her hot sauce. There's a reason False gets invited to events outside of the drama circles.
Distinction has always been artificial. Gossips about enemy’s nation leaders are considered “news” if it comes from your own sphere sanctioned channel, and vice versa. The best we can do reasonably is just guess.

His channel is pretty useful, but I laugh how so many people have gotten so lost in the sauce they moonlight as stock brokers. Half of every other episode is reading Nijisanji investment reports.

Tbh i'm glad whenever i see fairly big vtubers mention false or collab with him or whatever since obviously working in the industry they'd know more about it than us viewers so it's easier for them to tell apart genuine content creators vs grifters vs whatnot. In other words a big enough chunk of pretty big names vtuber industry thinks what he does is good and worthwhile. This is even more the case with pippa, considering how incredibly cynical she is with most things about the vtuber community and also with journalism, so for her to like the journalist of the vtuber community means he's good at his job.
Just to be thorough i'll point out this can also have a side effect. If you're good friends with the journalist and you get into drama he may end up not covering it or being biased while covering it. On the other hand though i've never heard anyone claim that this ever happened (and with someone as hated by certain pockets of people as false it'd be everything those guys talk about if it were the case), and i wouldn't be shocked to see a clip of him impartially covering a story about a friend of his causing trouble.
i agree with you, but if you are friends with a journalist and you get into drama i guess the most healthy thing you can do is not talk about it

He’s fine. I watch most of the episodes, and enjoy almost all of them.
Is the negative stuff about NJSJ a little much at times? Sure. But they don’t make it very hard to hate on them, and they’ve burned through so much good will that pretty much everything they do will be interpreted in the worst light. It is what it is.
But for the most part, he’s a positive force in the space. Like I said, he’s fine.
I feel the exact same way as Pippa (I'm a False fan). He may not have the strongest opinions on certain topics and I find it cringe when he covers Nijishit. But all the stuff he covers is insightful and informative. Also sad how much hate he gets for simply talking about news

Your oshi moved on over half a year ago. Follow her already. Or better yet, blame Elira, because as one of the only people who speaks Japanese in the branch, she's the one who dug EN management into a ditch they couldn't get out of. Imagine if A-chan was also a vtuber and was deliberately sabotaging anyone more popular than her while deflect all the blame toward other staffers. It's like that. And although Doki wasn't the only person Elira screwed over (and possibly having money stolen from), these two have a history together. Knowing that, it's really awkward that they were made sisters.

I have yet to see a valid reason to dislike False. It’s just your average weekly news coverage content.

Smart move, get the dramamongers on her side. FID gave coverage to phase back when it was much smaller, and moved them into the "big boy" section of the news early on.
If you're sick of Nijisanji being in vtuber news too much, don't blame whoever is talking about it, since it's not the peoples fault. That company or it's members literally cannot go ONE WEEK without some stupid shit going on.

I think the BBC logo does look pretty nice; better than an Adidas or Nike one in a shirt. Pity their coverage sucks since 2016.
False does do a lot of coverage to Niji shit, but Niji keeps feeding that machine. I would like more coverage of other stuff or at least alternate between Niji and non-Niji episodes. Also, not to sound like I'm taking Silvi's side, I would like better coverage of Indie Special Events. I don't think False or Lae-Dee mentioned Taka's TV2 Season 2.

I don't think its that so much Nijisanji stilted him, as much as anything "Nijisanji, is involved in, or did, party who worked with Nijisanji" just gets clicks. They can't seem to get themselves out of any controversy. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for it too since its seems to be a never ever ending trainwreck.
I think for false, if it is something that effects him, maybe its okay to give an opinion, but i do prefer just the story andthe facts around itand then for people to make up their own mind.

Haven't watched False much and not for a long while, now that I think about it. His videos stopped being recommended. Haven't watched Nousagi since the whole dox issue. Haven't watched Rima in a while either. Mostly watch Lidia Nekozawa when I see a headline that catches my attention.
I don't watch VTuber news that much in general though, unless it's an event. What can I say? I like to watch "car crashes."

It turns out that Nijisanji attempting to take down both of their channels made them realize that the enemy of their enemy is their friend.

He covered DN paywalling past life videos of some Vtubers on his Patreon, accusing him of profiting off their suffering.
...In a video in which he explains what the videos are to his large audience, and how you could go watch them with a google search.

Between everyone completely ignoring the actual bullies in NijiEN and learning about the whole situation with Roa's life being ruined by false rumors, I've come to despise dramatubers. It would be one thing if they actually did any investigation or fact-checking, but they never do. They fan the flames, stop just short of full-on defamation, and then people go "Look at the black company trying to take down the good, honest reporter! How terrible!". And it's made even worse when 90% of rumors can be easily disproven with a minute of fact-checking and critical thinking. (Case in point, google "vtuber merchandise cuts". 2% isn't nearly as bad as everyone thinks, and a few Niji talents are also on the record for saying that voice packs give a 50% cut and sponsorships give 70%, so direct involvement matters greatly.)
By the way, funny how the only fluent Japanese speaker in NijiEN and her friends seemed to have less trouble dealing with management than people like Doki, Matara, and Mint, isn't it? Hint, hint.
