I also found another way of turning the WiFi antenna back on without restarting the computer and resetting network settings just go to device manager > Expend network adapters > disable the WiFi killer antenna and enable it again do this twice and it should be on again
hi bro. my problem is "not connected - no connections available" I did all of your tutorials but not succeed. there are times also that wifi is showing up with no X icon. but after restart or shudown. the X shows up again

I'm running 8.1 and when I went to the network connections in the control panel the only thing there is a bluetooth network connection. Ethernet isn't there or anything and the drivers keep telling me I can only use the drivers on Dell or Alienware hardware even though I'm on an Alienware 17 R2
