There is a mysticism that I discovered being an expat living in Corsica for the past 5 years that after exploring many places and traveling to various parts of the world that I have never seen or felt anywhere else. Ajaccio and the coast smells of cypres and perfume in the evening breeze and the sunrises and sunsets here are magical and remind you of a Picasso or Cezanne landscape. So glad you have finally added this amazing island to your travel videos!!!! Bonifacio is one of my favorite places on the island!
What I love about your video is essence of originality & individuality in it...You know that quote," simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" .It suits you🙌
I can smell the herbacious shrubs through my screen! That desert like landscape is super captivating. Never been to Corsica thugh I have flown over it on my way to Sardinia, my second home. If you ever get to go I suggest checking out the town of Bosa, 1 hour south of Alghero, the northwestern port city. The winding coastal road from there to Bosa is world famous for it's beauty overlooking the mediterranean. Bosa itself is a super picturesque (all the buildings aredifferent colors) quiet town with a rich history. It also houses a 1,000 year old castle which was a stronghold for the local population during the moorish invasions from north Africa!
Good insight, but Corsica is in a different league to be honest. Sardinia is absolutely lovely in places and spots, most of the best ones nearest to Corsica.. no coincidence there. ...but Sardinia also has large areas of bland scenery - lot's and lot's of tourists too.. Corsica is just stunning...almost all of it. From north to south and east to west. I urge you to go and see what lies just north of you.
Wowww Corsica Island is Paradise for The Traveller,.Highly recommend for Summer.Vacations for the family and friends, Thanks sir Gabe for your wonderful walk around tour video Godbless from the Philippines 🇵🇭 sir Vhin 🙏🙂🙂🙂😍❤️👍👏👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
A friend of my grandfather was captured in North Africa during WW 2 and held as a POW on Corsica. He spent the rest of the war there. It’s cool to get some perspective on the place
You're always taking us to these amazing places. @15:00 the wonderful salt sculpted tree almost stands alone. I hope someday to see this island in person. Salute to you Gabriel!
As Terence McKenna said, travelling is a psychedelic experience, hence why we call it a "trip". And your videos, with their stunning vistas and immersive atmosphere, certainly have a psychedelic feel to them.
While Bonifaccio might host some of the Red Bull cliff diving, it is also held in many other places, such as the Ilheu de Vila Franca do Campo, just off the south coast of Sao Miguel Island in the Azores. It's an amazing volcanic cone, partly submerged, just a few minutes by boat from the main island and used as a beach destination by locals when it's not being used for diving.
Corisca is truly one of Europe's beautiful hidden gems! Let's hope we'll be able to continue to travel there safely for the foreseeable future #StopPutin #NoWar
Why don’t you try something I don’t think has been done before? Visit Tristan Da Cuna ? The most remote island on earth. It’s an English settlement. It has broadband. There are also some other remote outpost islands as well. Great video. Thanks.
It would take Gabe too long to get there, and would costs a lot... flights from South Africa to St Helena (itself a pretty spectacular destination) then a ship to Tristan. And there's not much there to see. St Helena pr Ascension Island would be a better choice because they have airfields, but I doubt you'd get permission to get to the latter. Still, the Vaga brothers went to Ascension.
Beautiful place and hopefully stays that way, cause the world maybe rocked once again. Stay safe. By the way Corsica looks like a human hand with the index finger pointing north. Observation ☺️
Wow what a stunning Island. Didnt know anything about it until watching your video. One request... Can you please move your camera slower. It was making me feel very giddy! . Maybe that's because I'm watching your channel on a big screen?
I didn’t dare to jump into the waters of the Arabian Gulf in February because it was a bit chilly and look at you… 😃 taking a swim on Corsica. I think I would get hypothermia 😟
Hi Gabriel, Oh yes you got the continental breakfast nice choices with all the walking you do you expend a lot of energy. Those forts are impressive but they are obsolete in today's world with the explosive technology those forts would be wiped out in minutes. The beaches are very nice I bit cool for this time of year may be in Sardinia the waters are warmer further south.
As I have traveled the world and watched countless travel vlogs I realize how fortunate we in the USA have been to avoid being overrun again and again by foreign powers. My heart goes out to the millions of people who have endured this throughout history. Being overrun by your next door neighbor seems the worst.
it allowed creating thriving cultures, intermarriage, mixing the genes, having different styles of architecture. There is a silver lining. Isolation leads to tribalism.

The beaches were so beautiful ...Gabe you are brave to swim in the cold sea
One of the most beautiful places on the planet. One Island with so many different and unspoilt scenics.. Stunning
Corsica is amazing, as well as other Mediterranean islands.
The water at the beaches there looks so clear.

Very beautifully captured..
Stunning place. I love those stairs you climbed up looking for the fort.
We've not been to Corsica but it's on our list! Sardinia is great, so hopefully you'll go there next and we can relive some good memories!

Great video G, such a beautiful place. Good on you for braving the cold water. The beaches are amazing looking, bet they are packed in summer.

Looks so old style French at times yet Corsican. Looks a great place to visit. Nice video 👍

Wonderful video !
You're living the dream, Gabriel! 😄👍 Bonjurr mes ami. C’est une journée brillante aujourd’hui, n’est-ce pas?
“brillante”? 😅
@@martinc.720 splendide ?
A bag of mixed nuts is, according to Gabriel, 'trail mix' - love it!
It’s exactly what it is
💕Hi.. Gabriel. Thanks for the video.. It's very nice.. A pray for Ucraine 💕

Gabe, are you going to Porto Cervo, Sardegna, the playground of the rich and famous?
Beautiful place and hopefully stays that way, cause the world maybe rocked once again. Stay safe. By the way Corsica looks like a human hand with the index finger pointing north. Observation ☺️

Nice video
Correction... My Great Grandfather was born on the Island Ischia.. You might plan to check it out this trip or someday ??? thanks
Thumbs up 👍😁
Not a single tourist in sight...what a shame, this place is really underrated
It´s very crowded in the summer 😉
You need to make a video "If I had $10 million in the bank, where and why I would live here places in the world".
After seeing the World, and if you need to retire, where would you live and have a home?
Feels very strange watching these videos of Gabe walking around without a care while we are in worst geopolitical crisis since WW2
wow number 1 maybe
Yep, got it.

The small islands in the strait between Corsica and Sardinia are amazing. The Polynesia of the Mediterranean.
😊
💗
Thanks
Gabriel, we are at war now. Please come back home
Do you seriously think that California is safer than Corsica?
