Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
Looking forward to watching this video as well as the upcoming videos from the Amalfi coast. Your videos keep me going, thanks Gabe!
The first time in history that Napoleon was mistaken for Paul McCartney. #lol
Ciao Gabriel, love your videos alot. We're planning to visit Corsica on July with family. Loved your recommendation about Ajaccio, the capital.
6:23 I love the feeling of having no idea where I am for the first few days I'm in a new city . The feeling of accomplishment when you make it back to the hotel for the first time without having to check Google maps 😀
Ah exactly, and then going back years later and still remembering your way around town
I hate it when that happens. I don’t want to be an object for Pickpockets or as typical tourist seen from 400 meters
thanks for the video gabe, stay safe and happy travels
Right on, same to you.
Thank you Gabriel for the videos of Corsica! Stay safe 🤗❤🙏 you never know what is going on in other parts of the world! Pray for the people of Ukraine 🙏
That was local boy Napoleon Bonaparte on the tunnel wall.
I see, a very different portrait from other ones I've seen.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos it was from his coronation as emperor I think.
I also put (Soya) Milk out on ledge last night in La Linea, Spain. Luv to follow your trekking!
Sardinia is the largest island in the Mediterranean. You'll have a great time travelling through it. And the food! Mamma Mia. Buon viaggio Gabriel
See the note at the very end of the video. Sardinia didn't happen unfortunately. Current whereabouts on my instagram: instagram.com/p/CaaixvLPaKG/
@@GabrielTravelerVideos dang. I need to stop commenting halfway through the video. Still a beautiful part of Italy, not a bad plan b 😄
No worries! :)
Great video and objective review of your visit of Corsica!
Beautiful island
Awesome words and so great you helped it does feel so helpless n that just makes one feel so much worse great comments stay safe
Awesome tour 🦋🦋🦋 thanks for sharing \🦋🦋🦋
Pretty cool! Never heard of this island.
Go deep into Italy.. find things never seen Gabe!
Can't wait to see Sardinia 😍
I absolutely LOVE that you're wearing the Adrenaline Addiction shirt!!! Awesome 🤙
I got two of them, they're hella comfy.
I find ferryhopper very good for booking ferries Gabriel, you can check times and routes and download boarding passes when u figure out how to use it, no need to go near any ticket offices, if u don’t get on that ferry you can get the bus to bonifacio and get the ferry from there, nice video as usual
the tunnel alley is very surprising and lurking any traveler to explore it
You have a luck that the birds to take you cheese away lol
The graffiti at 11:08 must be Napoleon? He was born in Corsica and I get royal vibes.
Not only Corsica, he was born exactly in Ajaccio, in Casa Buonaparte (Maison Bonaparte). ;) It is interesting, how are facade and windows of this house similar to that at Gabriel's hotel.
Yes, it's Napoleon wearing a golden wreath on his head, from a famous painting.
There is nothing like the Mediterranean!
A few points about your Aiacciu (Ajaccio) video. I don't see anything about the old city of Ajaccio, which is the most interesting and most authentic part (the area where Napoleon's family house is located). You cannot really call Ajaccio the capital city of Corsica. It is just the French admistration head town. Historically, Bastia has been the seat of te Genovese governor and the main city of the island. And Corti (Corte), in the centre of the island, was the capital city of independent Corsica. Aiacciu's importance grew during the French period, because of Napoleon (but not only). I could tell you more in case you were to travel to Bastia, where I live. Regards. Hervé.
Do many people in Corsica understand Italian or can communicate with Italians who speak no French?
@@stefpix Most native Corsicans understand Italian very well, even if they don't speak as well. In any case, Corsicans and Italians manage to communicate very well. Corsican language is part of the Italian languages family.
@@hervecheuzeville Thank you. Although I know Sardinian is quite distant from standard Italian. It would probably be easier for an Italian to understand Catalan or Spanish spoken slowly than someone speaking in Sardinian. Even written Sardinian seems unintelligible to an Italian speaker. But I wonder if Corsican is closer to standard Italian than Sardinian. Do most people in Corsica speak Corsican to some degree? Is it taught in school?
@@stefpix For Italians, spoken Corsican is easier to understand than Sardinian. Native Corsicans speak and/or understand Corsican language and yes, it is tought in primary and secondary schools, but not enough! But in Corsica, we also have a lot of people who are not Corsicans: mainland French and immigrants from Morocco.
You just walked past a car with hazard lights on and a passed out driver
Loving your travels in Corsica Gabriel, looking forward to more videos coming soon. 11:15 thought looked like a young Prince Charles (Prince of Wales.) Stay safe ✌️ Also find that having Costco membership provides good offers on rental cars 👍
A blesssed good day Sir Gabe Wowww Beautiful Ajaccio Capital of Corsica Wonderful City thanks again sir Gabe, for your nice walk around tour video stay safe Godbless u 🙏🙂 from your solid fan supporter viewer from the Philippines 🇵🇭 sir Vhin 🙂🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
One day I’ll be in Ajaccio .
My city ❤
You're in Corsica man thats the birth place of the European Emperor himself...That painting in the tunnel is Napoleon dude haha
Thanks for the video man
Thumbs up 👍😁
"Dinosuars on the streets with nice whatever you call it! Anyway, there is a nice market." Gabriel is really used to everything but is more impressed by a market then dinosaurs. 😀
Many people had swum across the Strait of Bonafacio, I checked in the google, it says you must have an Echocardiogram and stress test performed by the doctor, that's it! ✌
Regarding the shower, I had one in Mykonos that didn't even have a tub, just one end of the bathroom and a handheld shower head. It was really strange.
GAB Good luck uploading the videos once in Sardinia as Italian internet is notoriously slow.
From Nepal always supprot
Thanks.
Thx buddy. Debating to head there or Cyprus in Feb. looking for some sun or at least warmer than Czech Republic. Gracias amigo.
Cyprus will be a bit warmer. If you want a little more sun and warmth then you might consider the Canary islands.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos thx G, much appreciated your response. I think we’re sold as we dig the French vibe and we’d be there exactly when you were in feb.
@@ihaveuc Right on, go for it, should be a lot warmer than northern Europe at least. Make sure to head south to Bonifacio, really interesting city: ruclips.net/video/TwdqG28dHmU/видео.html
Will do amigo. We got a few more vids in your Corsica playlist but pretty much done deal. Thx again !
Nice place, but looks a bit hard to go if not flying from France. I was reading about cross island hike some years back.
Always supprot bro 🥺😭♥️❤️
Hey Gabriel, have you considered going to Azores? I don’t think you have been there yet? If not, then highly recommended! Good luck with your next destination.
They are high on my travel list to visit sometime.
Hi Gabriel, Another factor you're going to have to take into account is the war in Ukraine concerning gas and energy prices I'm sure they're going to affect most if not all of Europe it may also affect room prices. The drawing you couldn't make out appears to be Napoleon I may be wrong but I don't think so the crown reef on the head seems to giveaway.
I think you should return to the U.S. asap before the air traffic gets jammed due to influx of Americans from Russia and other Eastern European countries.
Americans aren’t from Russia but Russians with US American citizenship exist.
Re Car hire and prices - I've had info from travel sources and friends to say across various countries that car hire will be in short supply and thus higher rental prices as many car hire companies sold some of their vehicles during lockdown to keep the business going. Makes sense but guess this European summer will be the acid test if true.
I was in ajjaccio in 2009
Every thing going up
12:58 I guess Gabe wasn't interest in visiting Napoleon's birthplace while in Ajaccio the Maison Bonaparte, but his hotel from this view looks close enough like it I suppose. According to Google, from Gabe's hotel he was only 270 m or less than 300 yards away! Was the now museum closed, or too expensive to visit, or just no interest in Napoleon perhaps? I thought he would have done at least a token walk-by!
I start the next video at Napoleon's birthplace. :)
I never understood why there’s no shower curtain or sometimes I’ve seen a glass panel that only goes halfway. I can’t make sense of it as the water gets everywhere.
This guy talking about stuff he's planning to do and not talking about where he is right now. 😂😂
Amalfi is beautiful
💓
That shower situation is why generally the French don't bathe or shower more often than Americans.
👍👍👍
Hey Gabriel!
Are there enough people who speak English in Ajaccio?
Out of curiosity, is Fish and Game Warden your job title?
nepolean hill is greates person in this country
My friend have you been to majuro Island? Marshall islands?
He hasn’t
Gabe! Don't go to Ukraine!
I think it's a young Napoleon, Paul McCartney 😂😊
Love your videos BUT im a vlogger too. Do you feel guilty doing videos during a major war? Seriously asking. Peace
@fiveinitaly You forget there are wars in the Middle East as well and still continuing in places like Yemen
Hi gabriel!
Yo, how's it hanging?
@@GabrielTravelerVideos I'm good , how are you? 😁
Cool, doing well.
Looks like a lot of the old trees along the streets have been chopped down with new ones planted.
This place is awfully noisy. There seems to be an army of psychopaths with loud exhausts.
1m28 it’s me :DDD
Cool. 👍
The best-laid plans of mice and men...
I there isn't a minimum of a 55" 4K tv, a full duplex 100Mbit internet/W-iFi and a fridge in the room, it's a low standard, I mean what are most important to people today?
It's unbelievable that some places have slow internet, they should be ashamed!
It’s down to infrastructure of the place
Lucky the gulls and crows didn’t get the chess
your paul mcartney is actually napoleon he is from corsica
That was “yesterday” and “let it be” Derek
It’s napoleon
maybe Frida Kahlo
Do the streets smell like urine there

Got it.
Animatronics
There we go, thanks.
I love your channel. Is this a delayed video? Are you totally apolitical? Why don’t you go to Poland and see if you can get to Liviv, Ukraine and report?
Why don't you handle that for yourself?
This video was filmed on February 19th.
He's not a war correspondent 🙈
Why would he do that? This is not CNN
Even Bald and Bankrupt just fled Ukraine. Why would any rational person go to an active war zone?
can you....uh.....speak...in complete......uh......sentences??
cheap tickets to ukraine
I guess you bought yours 🧐
Bro now is not the time, wait till the war ends.
really seems insensitive to what is going on.. fancy music life's a beach attitude... maybe instead stop and try and gel the Ukrainian people some help with your utube and with your excess energy.

This is the country that is being bombed right now. It always hits closer to home when tragedies occur somewhere that you've been. It's more real than just a news story. I was lucky to have the chance to visit Ukraine twice, the first time to Kyiv in 2018 and then Lviv in 2019. Both are incredible cities. This was in the main square of Kyiv, I think my second day in the country on a cold day in November. A silly exchange but a little glimpse into real life. Ukrainians just want to have fun, like the rest of us. I can't say I know the country well by any means. Both visits were for just a few days. But I was seriously considering going back to Ukraine on this trip and exploring the country a lot more. We can all hope that Ukraine will be a safe place to travel sometime in the near future. But things are obviously not looking good right now, due to the greed and delusions of an arrogant madman. The truth is there is very little that you or I can do to change things. We're small fish in this vast geopolitical ocean. And yet, millions of people doing a little can add up to a lot. I really think that the global community has the power to make a difference in what happens next. And we should all be concerned, because it seems unlikely that Putin will stop with Ukraine. If Russia is allowed to take over Ukraine, then who knows which country will be next, how this will impact Europe, how much more war will follow, how it will affect the global economy and world peace. The world needs to continue to speak up against this senseless act of aggression. The people of Ukraine deserve to be free and safe. I've donated to Mercy Corps, an organization that is highly rated and which is preparing to take action to help Ukrainians in need. The global community needs to send a clear message to Putin that war is not the answer and will not be tolerated.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos thank you sir!
@@GabrielTravelerVideos you also need to send that message Gabriel who spoke to Mary the truth is there is a lot you can do.
I know Ajaccio very well, lived there many years. This is the worst video I have ever seen about this city. You know nothing about it, did not show what needed to be shown, and did not convey anything "Corsican". Your filming is very poor, what a waste.
From what I know of wonderful Corsica the two vlogs of yours i've seen from there are not exacly impressive because your commentary ruins their scenic aspect. Noones interested in your ferry difficulties or your wishes to go elsewhere when youre showng us a look at a Corsican market and more of a the capital. At least do some homework on where you are & learn the basic Rick Steve lesson of having something interesting to say about what we see! Not impressive at all!
Under $70 a night?
I'm moving there 😎🤘
Hey Gabe if you check your Instagram messages you’ve got a surprise haha. Check it out .. it will bring you back a few years
Saw it, have fun in the Canaries.
