Thank you soooo much for this detailed video. I am a 52 year old woman and I did it. I bought a smoker's car unbeknownst to me. I was able to change the filter with your help.
Thanks for this video. It helped me out. A note for right-hand drive G20/G21 owners, as you'd guess, the filter is on the left so treat this video like a mirror image. One source I found on the web wrongly stated RHD models have the filter on the right.
Thanks for posting. Better than another video I saw. Key thing is how to unclip the bracket that’s holding the filter in. Done. Tough cramped space and dark. Make sure you have light.
I’m not a handy guy. Just changed the cabin filter because of your nice tutorial. Paid $63 for the filter as opposed to 190 bucks at the dealer for parts and labor. Took me 20 minutes.
Thank you for the video. Although the spot it tough to get to, your video allowed me to easily perform this filter change and not have to pay the dealer's crazy markup.
Great video !I was about to be charged 200.00 by the dealership until I watched your video.Thank you for saving me a lot of money!I want to do the spark plugs on my 2019 330i too do you have a video on that?
Exactly what mehdi said, I recently changed the cabin filter on a ford kuga which is using peugeot diesel engine, and you LITERALLY have to take out the accelerator pedal in order to replace the filer. It's in the documentation. This is a walk in the park compared to most other euros.
Thanks for the vid. What a pain though. I could not get the connector off without fear of damaging. Also...only buy OEM. I purchased an aftermarket brand, and it "looked" exact, but it wasn't and would not fit the space. We're talking fractions here.
@blu-tsx I’m having big issues attempting to remove the footwell connected at 50 seconds in, in this video. Even attempted with pliers but it won’t budge. Any recommendations?
Where does this white pipe on the left go? To evaporator? What is the point of it? Usually filter over is just a piece of plastic that you can take out without anything attached to it
The people saying this is hard need to try this on a e36 have to drop whole glove box move wire harness and pretty much break the filter in half for it to come out😂

I've just paid the garage £120 to do this and decided to look it up after. So easy! I will never be paying for that job again. Thanks for the vid!

Excellent explanation of the process. Made it a breeze to install the new cabin filter.
Thanks!! Just bought a 2020 330i and will be changing these myself!!!
Similar to my VW Passat that I had. I think I can do this thanks to your video!

Thanks for the video! I just picked up a filter from the dealer and got my cabin air filter changed out today. Was pretty easy.

Your videos help so much. The ones on a Honda Odyssey specifically. Your channel is amazing, keep making videos!
Thank you very much easier than I would have imagined

Thanks for the diy got it done myself in 40 minutes😂 not very mechanically inclined but we got it done

Every other vehicle on the planet, you pop out the glove box, 2 clips on cabin filter door and you're done. Not BMW.
It’s clear you’ve never tried to change the cabin air filter of a 2014-2021 F150
Fr bro im here sweating under this bs
You're lucky you don't have french cars there @johntkach5648

True, aftermarket ones are a little thicker which can cause problems with the air flow
Thanx for everything 🎉very easy now that I know
Can you do a video how to replace light in glove box? Mines is not working and cannot find any tutorials. Thank you.
Good job - this video was very helpful!
Great and thorough video
Спасибо буду пробовать)

This is a much bigger pain than nearly every other car. However, it's not a $250 pain the dealer wanted to perform this
How often should I change the filter?

Besides being fat appreciate the video saved me time and burned some calories

Super, thanks for that Job
Same on a g42 I'm guessing? Part is the same.
