This install was a PITA!!! lmao. For some odd reason, my side clips just wouldn't budge but yours popped out with ease haha. Whatever, I got it done with more effort than expected but at least it looks good.

Great video Kies Motorsports! I wanted to ask if you know how to disassemble the actual grille itself. It appears the backside of the grille can be removed, leaving just the frame. My goal is to have the outer gray frame painted gloss black while leaving the gray accents on the inside diamond portion rather than having it all black as pictured in the video. Any help would be most appreciated!

Just put on my shadowline grille tonight,. Everything is easy except putting the new grille back on.

hi, i know someone who had original 'chrome' mesh grill for g20. they then purchased a black one. next, he took the trim of the black grill and configured it onto the 'chrome' mesh grill, replacing the 'chrome' trim. the final result was the black trim on the chrome mesh grill, it looked very good. can you explain how to do this please !?!?

Kies-can a front lip and a diffuser be put on a standard body 2020 330i??
One thing to look out for is to insert that camera all the way in. Otherwise the 360 parking surrounding view will be way off. Happened to me last weekend. Had to take it off to redo. Actually broke 2 plastic
Can you clearly tell from the outside that the camera is not all the way in?

My g20 grille does not have the camera. Can the camera frame located the lower ceter portion of the replacement grille can be easily detached? or is it part of the whole grille that can not be removed to fit G20 grille without the camera??

My push pins are stuck I remove the middle part as much as I can and try to pull but can’t get it out. Any suggestions?
For some reason I cannot budge the top clips that hold the grill in place. Tried to push down on the clips while pulling out the grill and nothing moves.

Hey Bryan, thanks for the video. Could you film a guide for us with how to keep the grill slats open? They are almost closed all the time, so it substantially affects the IAT. Moreover, my M340i looks silly with the slats closed, it does not suit such a performance car. Thank you in advance!

Brian, great video. So I get it, the active grill concept creates aerodynamic efficiencies, but the M340i looks way more badass when the grill shutters are in the open position. Recently I heard that 5 series owners discovered a way to keep shutters open all the time (and it didn't throw a code)...Might have been a fuse they pulled? Do you know if it's possible for the G20?
They most likely did the same thing as to keep your exhaust flaps open all the time. Once the shutters are in the open position, disconnect the power clip from the front air shutters, they should stay in the open position. I don’t think there is any performance or efficiency gained by doing this though.

Question! .. my f30 335 doesn't idle high on cold starts. It goes straight to normal idle, anyone know why that could be.😕
Is it tuned? You can remove cold start up in a tune in case you remove the cats

It does. It opens up when the engine is on and hot and needs air.
Only when needed. Those flaps that are visible once he removes the grill open when necessary.
