As the lead developer of Stygian Snakewood (the snakewood remake) I gotta say. These sprites are incredible and it makes me happy that other people are remaking those sprites. It was quite fun experience for us when we were doing some of them ourselves.

Reading that roclobster dex entry already knowing the B-52s already had me dead laughing I would’ve gone out of my way to make the sprite even farther away from the pokemon style and just make it a photorealistic lobster that’s been horribly compressed by the 16bit graphics
True, but I can see how he got the to design he did, because the original sprite is not easily readable. And I had to stare at it for a while to understand what it was. Tho, the added movement he would've added would make it significantly more readable.
i have a deep ironic love for snakewood (it's so edgy and dumb, i love it) and really enjoyed seeing these goofy fakemon get some care and attention! excellent work hoping you do a followup video only because i need to see the best bad fakemon of all time HOMBONE get a glowup :P

i've been steadily rewatching pikasprey's playthrough of snakewood from a handful of years ago while i shiny hunt and it's super cool finding this in the middle of watching that! my brother was super into snakewood back in the day, definitely showing him this.
this is really well done! I can't wait until gen 5 rom hacking becomes more accessible so I can see sprites like this in game (and hopefully a gen 5 follow mon mod)

The lure head inside Yuck reminds me of that one kid from a game about killing or be killed. What was the name of it tho? Jokes aside, I really love these reworks, and how you made Yuck less edgy and make more sense within the Pokemon world.

2:10 I kinda feel like the extra neck wasn't as close to the original. But the colouring was great update. 4:40 I need to see this with the drooping animation later gens have - you know the trippy one especially the Alolan Muk has.
This is so cool!!! Snakewood was,, an experience to say the least back in the day 😅 but this is super cool to see!! Something that I think would be a fun project, of a similar calibur, would be redesigning some of the mons from Pokemon Sweet! I love that rom, it was my favorite back in the day!

As much as the new Yuck looks amazing, I think the spikes on the back looked like exposed tips of a rib cage and making them thicker makes it lose that macabre effect
my only exposure to this hack has been from Pikasprey's video on it, and it is very much so a trainwreck, neat to see someone improve on a few of its designs, though!
I would’ve renamed rocklobster rolocker (ra-looker) and gave goosuboa a ability called fake hog where it tricks the opponent of being a weak lechonk so it lowers the defense and sp. defense of the opponent by 2
Awesome video on a game i know nothing about. Some criticisms though. Goosuboa needed a bigger redesign or to not appear here at all. The resprite is still a plagiarized design. Your take on A Monster also isnt as good as the original honestly. It looks intentionally silly when the original had a cool pose going for it. Would've been cool to see a feral frankenmon that takes itself seriously in your style Everything outside of that is great though
Snakewood made me wanna punch a wall sometimes due to the absolute insane difficulty back then, but even so it has some kind of "charm" that i can't help but to love. No wonder Pikasprey went mad when playing this abomination of a game.
This isn't supposed to be mean or anything, I'm just stupid, but I didn't know there are actual people who talk like Dracula. I knew it was a real accent but I thought Dracula was super exagerated version. Again, not rying to be mean lol I like the cool accent.
I knowz it wasn't intentional but as a huge fan of the Snakewood ROM Hack I was a tad angry that the head you designed into Yuck looked like you ripped of Fisk's head from Undertale when the head in its mouth is that of the original male character you play as in the base game it was made from which a more 3D version of that was available thankz to the ORAS games Fisk doesn't need to be in Yuck's mouth please fix this all other design upgrades look great and thanks for sharing info with the fans on mon they might have wanted in their games and ways to obtain said mon if possible ... not going to lie I was lowkey jealous of the helper guy for having Faceleech as a partner mon and I wanted one for myself

While faceleech is probably one of the coolest fakemon I’ve seen, your animation and style really brought it to life
