Just woke up to this post and I'm as happy as a pig in shite. Honestly can't thank KEXP enough. This is why I donate! I'm a teenager again ❤
I almost wrote the same darn thing, lol. :) but that is exactly how happy I felt.
One of the most beautifuly transcendental bands the world has had the pleasure to experience. There is no one like them in this world.
Excellent performance of Tears ! Mark in fine form on vocals.
Watching Reg Smithies do his thing, together with Burgess this close and with this audio quality is a marvel!
Ohhhhhhh. Today the world is a little brighter and happy..... best band of the 80´s. Thanks Mark and company and of course KEXP
Mark has a beautiful voice.
Thank you so much for this! You guys rock the world!Thank goodness for Apple Carplay! And KEXP!
Bands like the killers and Interpol couldn't have existed without this band. The most underrated of 80's bands. Great to hear them again.
OK…but what bands existed prior to imply the same notion about Chameleons? (Nothing is original✌️)
Don't they say King David was a musician?
The Killers wouldn't be the killers without new order's "Crystal"
You're right but some influences are much bigger than others.@@BOARMoto-bm2mh
The Chameleons has to be one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. Mark sounds great!
underrated is the most overrated word at youtube. They are famous since the 80s.
My favourite band since the first album. We are really looking forward to their concert in Hambuirg this week
Saw them live in Montreal back in '87, one of my favorite bands from the '80s!!
Thank you all so much! I love you guys to pieces.
Hung out with Mark in LA quite a few moons ago for a couple of weeks. He's honestly one of the raddest humans I've met in life. I will forever cherish that strange time where the stars aligned and a dream of mine was fulfilled. Ty Mark!
I had the pleasure of meeting him (also quite a few moons ago) after a show in Montréal. Me and a couple of buddies waited to meet him after the show and chatted with him for a couple of minutes. We told him we were going for a few drinks at Foufounes Électriques, a legendary punk/alternative/metal bar located a few feet away from the venue where they were playing, and told him it would be cool if he'd join us. He told us to go ahead and he would meet up with us a bit later. About 30 minutes later, lo and behold: Mark walked in with his g/f and one of their techs. We stood up, he saw us and they all came and sat down with us at our table. We spent a couple of hours shooting the shit. It was fucking amazing. Like you, I feel extremely priviledged to have met him and got time to spend a little quality time with him.
What a treat! Thank you guys for making all of that wonderful music. Great to see Reg in the mix again.
Chameleons fans rule.. we are here for this! 🎉❤
i love the chameleons on so many levels!
At last!!! Mark, still in my mind when I asked you to play Childhood live! So thankful!

The NEON GENERATION OF GENERATIONS know about it all, what this band means to the scene! Supra!

Awesome fellas, never thought i`d ever hear I`ll Remember played live. Always a fave.
Legendary. Despite having new members, this bunch is capturing the sound and sound fantastic. Mark Burgess is an underrated singer/songwriter, amazing vocals, bass lines.
Love this live performance I met Mark in Norwich what a brilliant bloke he is. Sound is excellent and the songs sounding so very great ❤
So new music and art work from reg happy happy days love them
I’m really excited that I got tickets to see this amazing band perform soon at a bar!
So lucky to see them live TWICE on both stops to Portland, Oregon over the past year -- sheer brilliance. Best band in the world!
Yep seen both Portland shows in less than a year.
As ever great sound
The Chameleons are awesome, this is such a treat.
I literally teared up when Tears started, brought me back to the 80's... Thx KEXP!! ✌🫶 ❤
We are All Chameleons 💜🖤
Cried like a baby when they played tears in both their sets over the weekend in holmfirth and Middleton
@@uclaperiodontist Indeed.
@@willdrakes7445 Loved this song so much back in the days, btw, you saw them live!? Lucky you! Never had the chance back in the days, sadly, they won't come to Montreal this year.
@@pat0653 I'm 19 so never got to see them back in the day with the original lineup but I have seen them 4 times now with the current lineup. I have my parents to thank for bringing me up on all that 80s goth, punk and post punk stuff.
I was so blessed to see Birdy and Co. a few years ago when they came to play in Lancaster,, PA. It was just stellar! Afterwards, getting to personally share what The Chameleons music has meant to me when I was a lad in the mid 80s was a real treat. Mark was so excited about that new red Gibson bass he is playing in this video. All I can think as I view them in this performance is "take that AI!" Real, authentic music made by some very talented humans!
I couldn't believe it when I discovered the video on YT. The Chameleons live on KEXP and and above all with a new album!
If a fortune teller had told me this some time ago, I would have shattered his crystal ball because I was laughing and feeling like I was being taken for a ride.
I'm really looking forward to the new album!
The Chameleons are di best!
❤YAY!!! so happy for you! This is the best one you have done with KEXP yet! ❤
I LOVE THE CHAMELEONS. Been a fan since ‘89. Met Mark briefly last year. I was such a fan boy. :)
Sehr schön, freue mich auf Freitag.
Larga vida a "The Chameleons" !!!
Lo mejor del regreso de Reg es que The Chameleons ha vuelto a crear y lo están haciendo increíble. 🖤
Thanks again ! ! The chemeleons 😊😊😂
Love how they do a bit of "Bobby Moore's Wine" during Mad Jack
Burgess and Smithies still sounding great!🤘I was 17 when this album came out and it's still one of my faves!
Great interview, Abbie. I went back to re-listen. Your insights are great. I love you you had a deep conversation with Mark. I can tell he appreciated the work you put in. The camera team and the sound teams: KUDOS! And I have always loved your studio setups. So intimate. And KEXP management: THANK YOU!!!! This was my favorite band in the late 80’s.
♥♥♥
One of my fave bands ever. The Strange Times tour in '87 is a blur so I greatly appreciate hearing these tunes live and fresh! Great to see Mark and Reg and the rest of the band rocking out. "Mad Trump" ... love it.
Epic!!!!!!🔥
What a treat to see
You can keep your Oasis, this is the band everyone should see - always loved the Chameleons, great to have new music to enjoy and look forward to.

Pure Manchester music!
Absolutely brilliant.
Hooooooly shit! Never could have expected this
I didn't think this outfit was so good ❤❤❤❤
Can’t wait for Oct.18th here in Chicago!! 🔥
oh, they are one of the best live bands going today...
Finally 🎉🍻🍻
I've never heard of this group, but it seems they are from my generation, the 80's. I like their music.
🙌🖤
Childhood and I'll Remember are meant to be played like that in direct succession. The crescendo.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
❤❤❤
38:37 Most German sounding record label ever.
Wooow. Thank you. It's the most underrated post punk band from 80-s.
What a great ending to a long day. Chameleons YES 🎉
Brilliant
Great session! Sound as good as they did when I saw them in '87 (or '88?) in Boston.
Tiempos camilonianos.
Where is "Free Me" from? And "Where Are You"?
Where are you is on a recent ep. and a new album is coming out soon. Maybe free me will also be on that album.
Hello Mark,
We all french people are just wait your next Paris’s streets, places, avenues and mobile stages multicolores’s concerts. You did talk about for November 2023 at your last Paris’s gig your next moon venue.
It would be fine at this occasion we talk about urban concerts, architecture and city’s life of tomorrow.
With all my impatience and détermination,
Kind Regards, with the Heart of Love, like some other Rolling Stones said, and announce like it will be free in the next world, next second one
