holy shit, never expected to see this. Back in 1998/99 my media teacher in HS gave me several CDs from Indie bands and one of them was Bandwagonesque. I still own that CD and have loved it ever since.

Love the fact that these Legends of the Scottish music scene are still going strong. Yes I miss Gerard Love but Euro Childs is good for the band. I've seen them live in Glasgow so many times since 1990. Ageing well like a good whisky, c'mon The Fannies!

Ya know, Norm is so shy and self effacing and I dunno if he even realizes that his writting and Teenage Fanclub is better NOW than they've ever been. Very intelligently written music that is consistently pulling the boundries of the pop-ish songwriting genre.

I loved the song they did with De La Soul “Fallin’” I still play it regularly.
The new bass player Stephen sounds fantastic in this!
He’s just filling in for Dave McGowan who moved over from keyboards after Gerard Love’s departure, but is absent here because he’s also Belle and Sebastian’s bassist and was on tour with them. Dave also plays guitar for Gerard’s current backing band The Magic Influence.
The greatest of all the great Scottish bands!

Really leaning into their Dead-esque latter years groove and I’m loving it! Also, I never realized how much 90s era Phish owes to this sound
If you dig Phish, check out The Lizards from Toronto. They are like JRAD or Hyryder playing Grateful Dead.

@@sonofjaguare pretty sure Dave McGowan is on tour with Belle & Sebastian at the moment, so I assume they needed a fill-in. I'm fine with McGowan & Euros in the band, but it just isn't Teenage Fanclub without Gerard Love. Just a big gaping hole is all I see here.

It is not TFC without Gerry Love. Different band altogether. You can’t remove a massively fundamental part and call it the same thing.
