Dude, that the BC Rich V with the abalone is one of the nicest looking guitars I've seen, it's daemonic looking and just all around beautiful with it's angles and dimensions. The abalone gives it a really magical, spacey touch. Big fan. \m/
I agrer, had it in high school. I really couldn't get passed the 9V Batterry thing. At that time played/practiced 5 hours a days. If they would have had the Fishman Fluence pickups back than then I would have gotten those pickups but i had sold the guitar before any of that. Shoulda slept on this guitar seeing where pickup tech. was heading. Idk if the new B.C. Rich line is even worth it tho they do have the thing i wanted to do. I think ill wait and see where they go in the years to come. More options, more guitars from the newer models to classic reemvisions, my only qualm is that the necks are a lil different from older models a lotta people were saying.
The bridge pickup in that Moser looks like a Dimarzio X2n. at the time it was the highest output passive pickup available, and the the main pickup Chuck from Death used. I've got one in my Jackson, and they pack a punch!
Glad your channel is growing. You’ve had consistently good content, especially lately. That BC Rich Jr V Deluxe is so boss!! I’m not an active pickups guy but other than that, again my choice of pickups is just a difference of taste and not a statement against EMG or active pickups as a collective, that deluxe is just awesome in every way. Love the headstock and the flat black paint with the binding that just makes it “pop.” Keep up the great content boss!!

Hey Kevin, I'm not sure if you've messed with the Boss Tone Studio, plugging the katana into a PC to access more options, but there's a lot! There's a noise suppressor, equalizers, and a compressor. Went from a boxy kinda meh tone on my katana 100, to an absolutely mean metal tone. Not to mention the clean tones, and all the other options.
I have the boss katana 100 and I just recently got the pedal with it and installed the katana software and I'm basically set for life. The software is amazing considering it has noise gates in it and eq pedals to get the perfect tone you want.

The one Kev has is has cracking in the fingerboard, he made a video attempting to salvage to his best ability, but I was wondering whether he would get a new branded one from Ola if the cracking got any worse on the Washburn, if you don't know about Ola's brand just look up solar guitars, he has more shapes styles and specs on his than Washburn ever did.

I'm a member of the junkies, I'm from Michigan, plus I play through boss katana 50. I loaded a tube screamer into the front and it even made the stock pick-ups in MY beast sound good. Katana is great but throwing a screamer in gave it King Kongs balls it was so huge.
I think that 8 string is a Rob Skalin(?) or whatever his name is signature. Im from Taylor MI man and yeah weather been crazy this year! Nice collection
You should get the katana head MkII and a 2x12. I've got that setup and it's fucking insane, it pushes so much air just on the 50w setting and surprisingly as well on the half watt setting (probably just a little less but it's just as loud, keeps up with my drummer when he's Dave grohl-ing his kit) And no shit, you're a michigander too? Hey man whichever room you keep your guitars in grab a dehumidifier. You can set it to about 55-60% humidity and you'll guitars will be in a stable environment
@@nickcrane8329 If he's using his tube amps every day/ every other day it shouldn't be an issue. High humidity is the tube amps enemy. Even bringing the room down to 50-55% is optimal. As long as the temperature doesnt exceed about 75-80 degrees with high humidity everything should be fine.
So i'm looking for a new axe and I'm coming from a Strat style. I'd consider myself beginner - intermediate. I want more of a modern sound possibly with Floyd Rose for... yes you guessed it... DIVE BOMBS. Now I know there are ways to set up and upgrade your guitar to get the same result but these are the ones I've narrowed it down to. Yes, I'm using the term narrowed down lightly. Also, because its Covid I can't go in and try all of these. The most I can do is buy one and if I don't like it I can return it within 30 days. That just sounds unreasonable. I've done a shit ton of listening tests with and without headphones online, tonnes of comparisons and I'm only more confused. Would love any help and insight. Not trying to break the bank but also don't want to go half way.
