I made this scarf for my ex husband when he was diagnosed with cancer it was in the winter time and his doctor told him he needed a scarf to wear around his heck so I found this one on you tube and I was a beginner and it turned out great he loved it but sadly he only got to wear it for about two months and he pass away my son said he was going to keep it because his dad was so proud that I made it for him 🥲❤️
I am making this scarf for my grandson and got halfway thru and went blank I make it according to instructions but some how the red part ends up on the wrong side I can’t remember where I went wrong can you help me I love this pattern
I just finished my scarf after watching the video and I made mine in orange and navy blue because my oldest son is a football fan and these are the colors. Thanks Jennifer, it's beautiful 😍
Hi it's tahoora from India, i made this for my husband for my anniversary. I made this in silver grey and black coler. This pattern is so beautiful and easy. Thanks to sharing with us
My colors are black & teal, a Christmas gift for my Son-in-Love! I'm sure he'll be impressed. I already have a couple of requests from friends. Love it! Thank you so very much Jennifer.
I made a few of these for men I used darker colors like black and different blues... also I did a black with a ombre grey... they all came out very nice. The men are very tall 6'3" or so so I made them 72-75 inches. I did need 2 bundles of each color because they were extra long. This pattern is very easy and I like not having to count stitches. Definitely recommend. I do not add tassels for it but I think it would go good too.
Excuse me for asking but how many stitches did you make for the length? My man is 6 3 also and I don't have any idea of how many will I need. Thanks very much appreciated
I came back to say how much I love the final outcome of this project! I used a medium weight super soft yarn and made mine narrower but it's absolutely gorgeous! Your instructions were wonderful and I can't thank you enough!
I just realized I never gave this a thumbs up. I made this scarf a few months ago the tutorial was super easy to understand and my men are definitely loving the scarf 😍 thanks
What a lovely result of a very good idea! It looks so complicated, yet in reality it isn't! You always give such clear instructions in your videos, learning something new is far less difficult! I absolutely love this scarf!
Thank you, Jennifer and Fiber Flux, for this tutorial! It's another great (and simple) one. I just finished this scarf and it turned out beautifully! I used Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn medium weight 4, instead of a chunky/bulky weight, because that's what I had, and I couldn't be more pleased. I used a little over 1 skein of each color, Dusty Blue (instead of gray) and Taupe (instead of red/rust), for a 70-inch scarf. Each skein is 170 yards. Even though my yarn called for a 6mm hook, I used the 6.5mm as Fiber Flux recommended for the pattern and it turned out fabulous. The feel of this scarf is very soft and thick. I highly recommend this tutorial and pattern. Thanks again, Jennifer and Fiber Flux!
+ying1985 Hi! I only used one strand. I don't know if you've used Vanna's Choice yarn but it is pretty lofty. It's always on sale at my craft stores and it has a much softer feel than. say. Red Heart Super Saver . The way the scarf is constructed, it becomes thick on it's own (with the BPDC). The only place I think the thinner yarn affected the overall pattern was that the scarf wasn't as wide after 10 rows as the one in the video. However, I preferred it slightly thinner so that was fine for me. I hope that helps!
+Susiehomemaker Smith thanx so much for your help , I usually don't buy bulky yarn I feel more comfortable working with yarn (4) and some of the projects i skip them bc I don't have that same yarn but thanx for your help
Thank you so much for your simple and clear explanations as well as the way you demonstrated. I’m a beginning and you answered some of the questions I could get from the many other videos I watched. You are an exceptional teacher and ever more cherish able is how your heart shines through. Thank you for what you contribute. Sending you prayers of Ease Joy Expansion Connection Love and Prosperity in all 💗
As I'm a beginner to crochet, I tried a practice piece first. What an amazing pattern this is!! The video does not do it justice tbh. Can't wait to start the actual scarf. Thank you for this tutorial.
this is the fifth video I see of yours and every one of them I've seen so far is very easy to follow. and I'm a beginner. you have a nice voice which compliments your instructions....thank you!! on top of it all, all of your scarves are beautiful!!!
I love this scarf. I tweeted it just a bit . Instead of cutting the yarn at each end, I crochet back to the other end and brought my second color up. 🧶
Using your pattern right now to crochet a scarf for my grandson in silver and gold. Not using a chunky yarn, instead using Caron Simply Soft and its just the effect I'm looking for. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much for the pattern! For anyone wondering how long this will take to finish (I was cos my bf is leaving for 2 months and I wanted this done before he leaves) I did approx. 86 inches long 8 inches wide for 5 hours (with little breaks in between) hope this helps!
Great tutorial. Simple, clear and easy instructions (I'm a novice and addicted). I used a 6 mm hook because I didn't use a bulky yarn. It's a little tough when starting the back post stitch, but I found if I turned the project slightly (top view), it was easier to see and bring the yarn through the back for the three loops. Thank you for sharing.
If you start your scarf with grey and then change to red, the grey will be the dominant color, and the red will be the accent color as you see in the sample. To make the scarf the same way as the one in the video you need to star with red. Do the chain and first row in red and then switch to grey.
Love this pattern! Thank you for clear instructions. I made this for my son with same colors shown in the video and it came out really good. My son loves this scarf.
I love your tutorials so much you make it so easy to follow. I have made my husband one he gets alot of compliments. I am making my nephew a ear warmer out of this stitch. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. I truly appreciate your time and passion. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks Fiber Flux! This scarf looks awesome and the video is easy to follow. I would really like to make it with a matching hat as a present. Do you have any hat pattern suggestions?
It would be nice to see the ends of the scarf in the picture. For me starting with a chain of 3 made my ends too lose and curly. I stretched it so it could look more uniform but I didn't like the ends of my scarf. Any suggestions for enhancing the ends of the scarf ? Thank you
This looks like a great project to make:-) and it would be nice to have a matching hat for this scarf. Do you have a hat pattern for the every man scarf????
I’m a beginner, and I want to crochet one like this for my dad because I love the patterns. His skin tone is brown, so I’m wondering which colors would look beautiful. Could you please help me? 🥹🙏
Jennifer I've watched your videos for a few years now and I don't think I've saw one I didn't like . Love this scarf may I ask would you do a men's scoodie ? I've not been able to find a pattern for men. And can you do it in cotton yarn please that's the yarn I have to use for my cousin . Thank you
Do you have a matching hat pattern? Love this scarf, ready to make it next weekend and I'd love a hat to go with it. I'm a beginner crocheter so any help is appreciated.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I will be making this for a friend. Do you have any suggestion on making a hat that would go nice with this scarf?

Fabulous design! I have already started a similar project. I was wondering - instead of working in the threads will it be possible to have fringes instead?
I am going to make this for my husband....could you tell how much of each color yarn is needed? I don't want to over-buy but I really don't want to run short. Much appreciated!!
My dad's birthday is coming up soon and after my first few gift ideas were thwarted, I decided to crochet him a scarf (even though I know he'll never wear it). I've looked into a lot of patterns, even tried experimenting in my own, but none looked like they would suit him as much as this pattern. I'm out of bulky yarn, so I'm going out and get some, but before I did, I just wanted to ask how many skeins of yarn you used for this? Rust and charcoal? Even a rough estimate of how much would help, if I see how large each skein is, I can estimate how much I'd need if I use another brand.

Very perfectly explained. All of the designs are really beautiful. I'll try this one with multi colour yarn. 😊
