Easy crochet scarf tutorial | beginner friendly crochet scarf

Learn to crochet an easy beginner level crochet scarf using 2 or multiple colours. You need to know only basic crochet stitches like chains, double crochet and double crochet decrease.
I used two colors of DK/ category 3 yarn for this scarf each measuring about 250 meters and a H/5 mm crochet hook. The scarf measures approximately 146 cm long and 16 cm wide.

I was thinking to make a small sample with two colors of a thick yarn to see if I have to modify the gauge, reduce some stitches and how many. But you tried it already and said the result was perfect, so I don't have to worry and loose time thinking this pattern is not appropiate for a thick #5 weight yarn. You make me save some time, thanks.

You'll not turn after the 1st row. So you'll again go back to the beginning and start from there.

Roughly how long does it take to work a row please. I haven't crocheted before. I'm finding it easier to hold the wool in my right hand with the hook,is this ok ?

@@carolekratzke9500 Depends on how fast you crochet. It might take you half an hour to an hour. I can't say anything about holding the wool in your right hand, do whatever is easier and comfy for you
