For clarification on the crown in Princess Charm school, it is a magical crown it glowed on Blaire's mothers head when she was crowned to display she was the true Queen so when it's placed on Blaire's head it does the same proving she's Isabella's daughter and the true heir to the throne. The whole story of what happened to her parents is explained by Isla and Hadley when they're at the spa then later at the castle, Blaire was found alive and left on someone's doorstep no knowing who she really was but some coincidences and resemblances makes her realise she may be princess Sofia and the glowing crown would prove that

Barbie and the Diamond Castle is the reason I'm gay now. They're IN LOVE. I think about the lyrics to "Two Voices One Song" and "Connected" at least once a month. I mean "the way we talk, the things you say/the way you make it all okay" "if I could wish for one thing, it'd take the smile that you bring/wherever you go in this world, I'll come along" "I'm never alone, I think of you how you'll never let me go" "you hear me, you're near me, and everything else is gonna be alright, 'cause nothing can break this, nothing can break this tie" how are these not love songs? listen. barbie. barbie please. they're in love.
I prefer just to think of them as close friends, almost sisters. I don’t believe being gay is right, but I am not judging you, or anyone else who is gay, and you are free to think whatever you like.
I have to be honest, I laughed when u were talking about Barbie Island Princess and said "baby elephant, a dying peacock and an entire human" lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun Fact Barbie was voiced by Kelly Sheridan who also voiced Sango in Inuyasha and is currently doing it again for the sequel and in Barbie in the Nutcracker the nutcracker himself is voiced by Kirby Morrow (RIP) who voiced Sango’s love interest Miroku in Inuyasha as well
Surely can’t be just me who found island princess extremely STRESSFUL, I love it but I found Ro a bit annoying and she was too clingy to the Prince after meeting him so quick and don’t get me started on Tika omg
Believe me, you aren't the only one. I would have found the movie pretty enjoyable if it wasnt for flipping Tika. Like the first time this clingy animal interfered with Ro and Antonio, I excused it because it made sense that she would be overprotective especially since they had no idea who this dude was. But then Tika just kept meddling, like could the writers really not come up with a better way to progress the plot and the relationship besides making Tika the most selfish, inconsiderate, annoying little piece of crap animal sidekick that ever existed?! I a lot of issues with Tika's character, and I'm thoroughly convinced that if they took her out and found other legitimate reasons to drag out the will-they-wont-they romance drama til the end of the movie, Island Princess would have been a lot more fun and enjoyable
@@robynwilkerson7525 I feel like Tika's character made sense since she knew Ro her entire life and was worried that Ro would leave her behind suddenly for the prince, but then did kinda redeem herself at the end where she helped save the day and encouraged Ro to accept Antonio's proposal (Altho I was annoyed at how she kept emphasizing that she wanted to go home even though Ro was finally seeing people for the first time).
I honestly think Tika has PTSD because at the beginning of the movie, she has a nightmare and then when Antonio first arrives to the island and Tika realizes he's a human she says "it must be bad; let's run and hide." This indicates that perhaps Tika has had bad experience with humans and been abused by them and would explain why she's so scared of them and so desperate to break apart Ro and Antonio.
The nutcracker's ending confused me too, but I read a great analysis somewhere that really cleared things up. I believe Clara's aunt had ties to Eric's realm (she is the one that gives Clara the nutcracker in the first place and apparently has travelled a lot) and calls him the son of a friend. So I assume she was able to bring him into Clara's world, and the shot focusing on the snow globe at the end implies that Clara does eventually go back to rule side by side with Eric. Edit: It definitely wasn't a dream because the nutcracker had vanished the next day
justice for The Barbie Diaries. I knew that I was in the minority on this but it still stings. Its truly the unsung hero of the barbie cinematic universe.
My ranking of Barbie movies: 1. Mariposa (both movies): Some of the first Barbie movies I remember ever watching. Just looking at her pink and orange dress (which is absolutely beautiful by the way) fills me with so much nostalgia. 2. Three Musketeers: Another one of the first Barbie movies I remember watching. I think that this one has a good storyline. 3. Twelve Dancing Princesses: Despite the fact that I very faintly remember the actual storyline of this movie, I really like it. It’s such a beautiful movie to look at and in my opinion the main theme of it is the best Barbie song of all time.
I realised that when I was about 12 😂 around the same time stupid me realised the credits song shine is the orchestral music played throughout the movie and is the song to open the magic realm 😂
I think the geodes in Princess and the Pauper are filled with Amethyst which back then would've been a sustainable industry since lab-creating of gemstones didn't exist yet
I also thought that! Also since purple is the color of royalty, having amethyst jewelry would've been like a show of status. And I think their new industry is the jewelry business. In my head they got the gold back from Preminger, and used the gold and amethyst to make expensive jewelry.
For the Nutcracker: I always thought the whole thing was supposed to be a dream and then she wakes up but I really don’t know… I do hope it’s that way because that would make the ending happier for me.
as long as princess and the popstar isn't on this list and princess and the pauper is *very* high up, I will be placated edit: y'alls taste is UNPARALLELED god bless

I voted for Barbie Princess and the Pauper of course! It has the best characters and music in my opinion although island princess is hilarious as well 😂
I voted for the three musketeers :) The beginning is so nostalgic for me. The Island princess is what I would vote for as a kid because I watched it every day XD. Lastly I still Love Magic of the Pegasus I even had the book growing up but the polar bear is probably the most nostalgic thing in the movie for me. Lastly the intro the Barbie as Rapunzel with all the paint supplies is nostalgic to me Honestly I could keep going but I am tired of writing
One of my personal favorite Barbie movies that didn't make the list, is Barbie in a Fashion Fairytale. I just absolutely fell in love with it when I was 11, so much so that I got the three main dolls for Christmas that year, and I didn't really own many of the movie-tie-in dolls. I found the idea of all the Barbie movies being connected because she was an actress really cool, and unique, and I just adored Ken and his quest to win back Barbie. Plus the fact that the whole movie takes place in Paris is just icing on the cake.
I'm disappointed that neither of the Fairytopia Sequels made it in. I LOVED Mermaidia as a kid, the color scheme, there being mermaids AND fairies, the story... Gah it's so good
I like how they re-use the characters. It keeps reminding me that they’re actors, also it was such a fun moment to me watching Barbie A Fashion Fairytale and finding the same woman over and over again Lmao.
that is just for the poor animation. i know the story is good but i just can’t with the animation sadly like many others. it’s does deserve more than it got/gets
Hey Cait, I think the reason Eric just shows up in the real world at the end of Nutcracker is because it happened in the original book (which I just reread). Like Marie sees him and falls off her chair and her mom is like "silly that's your godpapa's nephew!" I think it's like a reference to the fact that no one else knows about the magic except Clara and her aunt (in the book Godpapa Drosselmeier)? Idk really, it doesn't make much sense in the book either. Love your videos, keep it up!
Rapunzel truly had the most cohesive and well thought out plot... them forgetting to wash the painting off the door and then using it to TRAP GOTHEL IN THE TOWER genius.
I’m satisfied with this tier lost, but I wish swan lake was higher! I’m glad it made the top 10 at least. I’m shook at how high princess charm school is (but I also didn’t grow up with this one, so 🤷♀️). And Princess and the Pauper is inarguably #1
My brother and I knew the whole script to a princess charm school when we were younger. We assigned characters each and we would easily just say everything word for word without or subtitles or anything... the memories 🥺
I'm so glad the princess and the pauper got the first place. Everything about this movie is perfect. After the Lion King this is my favorite movie, the songs, the plot, DOMINIC, I just love it.
Honestly 2001-2010 was the GOLDEN ERA for Barbie movies. Maybe with the one exception of Charm School. Watching anything from 2012+, I know that none of them would be able to beat the likes of Princess and the Pauper, Swan Lake, Magic of the Pegasus, Nutcracker, Rapunzel, 12 Dancing Princess, Island Princess, Diamond Castle, 3 Musketeers, and the Fairytopia series. They were on a completely different level.
@@Lena-zn4re no problem 😂 I always associated Nutcracker with the fact it came out around the same time that I was born which is why I remember the year so well
Gothel was such a great villain. Other than being voiced by Anjelica Huston, she almost started a full out war between two kingdoms just because she was a woman scorned.
I think If I had made this list there would be too many ties 😂 for example I would need mermaidia or fairy secret to replace charm school and the other to tie with someone, and mariposa, thumbelina and Christmas carol would prob be 11, 12, and 13 😂 also mermaid tale would def be around there too maybe 14 but prob switched with thumbelina and would be 12 😂
very sad that barbie diaries (started my emo phase at age 6) and fairytopia (indulged my life-long love of fairies) didn't make the top 10 but we all knew princess and the pauper would be number 1 lol
Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses is definitely one of my favorites if not my favorite Barbie movie but I can’t watch it very often because it legit gives me motion sickness, like I always feel nauseous watching it. You always want what you can’t have.
I so remember those movies back in the early 2000s since I was 9 years old when the Nutcracker one first came out and I even remember Kelly, she was cute until she had to be replaced by Chelsea for some reason. Those were the days, it's like they were giving Barbie's own Disney Princess thing. Barbie will always be my role model of my childhood and I'm 29.
19 years old & will forever be watching Barbie! Top 15 my kids will definitely be watching: 1. 12 Dancing Princesses 2. Princess and the Pauper 3. Swan Lake 4. Nutcracker 5. Princess Charm School 14. Thumbelina 15. Rock n' Royals
You were right about the ones where you said that if you've watched them when you were younger, then you would've liked them more. Like for me, I love Princess Charm School and The Three Musketeers even more because they're nostalgic to me and I've watched them when I was younger.
You know what's even worse about the trailer for chrismas Carol? I n Dutch it is "Barbie in haar allereerste kerstverhaal: barbie in het kerstverhaal" which could be literally translated to " Barbie in her first Christmas story: Barbie in a christmas story"

The whole story of what happened to her parents is explained by Isla and Hadley when they're at the spa then later at the castle, Blaire was found alive and left on someone's doorstep no knowing who she really was but some coincidences and resemblances makes her realise she may be princess Sofia and the glowing crown would prove that
@@hi_im_carson5116 Good for you then, I only commented this because Caitlin seemed confused about the magical crown in the first place

I always thought it was "just" a deep friendship, and I'm pretty sure it was intended like this. But if you interpret it other way, that's fine too.^^
They are lovers for sure and I refuse to think about them any other way
I prefer just to think of them as close friends, almost sisters. I don’t believe being gay is right, but I am not judging you, or anyone else who is gay, and you are free to think whatever you like.
They were my only childhood lesbian rep, and honestly I'm so happy it's getting love

The only movie I remember watching and being obsessed with is Diamond Castle. Now that they’re suspected WLW, now I know why I click with it.

What I loved the most of about The princess and the pauper, was when Erika realizes that liberty is also choose to stay :') It gets me all the time! 💙
Fun Fact Barbie was voiced by Kelly Sheridan who also voiced Sango in Inuyasha and is currently doing it again for the sequel and in Barbie in the Nutcracker the nutcracker himself is voiced by Kirby Morrow (RIP) who voiced Sango’s love interest Miroku in Inuyasha as well
I appreciate this fun fact, thank you
Surely can’t be just me who found island princess extremely STRESSFUL, I love it but I found Ro a bit annoying and she was too clingy to the Prince after meeting him so quick and don’t get me started on Tika omg
omg not tika... every time I watch that movie I'm like YELLING at my screen when tika's messing stuff up for Ro and Antonio
Even when i was a little i literally didnt like tika . She was so annoying to me . I was like let her goo you little elephant
Edit: It definitely wasn't a dream because the nutcracker had vanished the next day
Omigosh I love that :O it makes sense, it doesn't ruin the magic and it just seems amazing!!! 😂
@Raiu you are :D
Stefan’s reaction to Gothel revealing herself in the maze is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life.
justice for The Barbie Diaries. I knew that I was in the minority on this but it still stings. Its truly the unsung hero of the barbie cinematic universe.
The Barbie Diaries is so nostalgic and iconic!
It's a load of bullsh*t.
I still have the dvd!
I have so much nostalgia for that movie but its also so ugly it hurts 😭😭 I like remembering it not seeing it again
My favorite is actually island princess!
Mine too. My cousin had all DVDs and we would binge them when I come over. We always have love the songs and plot.

My ranking of Barbie movies:
I never realized that the first letter of the 12 dancing princesses' names were in alphabetical order. 😂
In my head they got the gold back from Preminger, and used the gold and amethyst to make expensive jewelry.
it really surprise me that the Princess and the Pouper isn't a Broadway musical by now!!
For the Nutcracker: I always thought the whole thing was supposed to be a dream and then she wakes up but I really don’t know… I do hope it’s that way because that would make the ending happier for me.
12 dancing princess deserved that place SO SO MUCH!!! i’m so happy

Princess and the Popstar isn’t comparable to Princess and the Pauper. They couldn’t even do “To Be a Princess” justice.
hahah!! I honestly really like the princess and the popstar! I love the soundtrack:) I grew up on princess and the pauper but I honestly still like both. However, barbie rock n royals is nottttt good in my opinion 😆😆
@@Lena-zn4re I have nightmares about that new version of to be a princess... plus what made the original great was how likeable and engaging the two female leads were whereas in the newer one I just couldn't care less about them 😭😭
at least princess and the pospstar was better thn princess adventuer. (i absolutly hated the outfits in princessaventure and the songs wernt very good)
In the charm school movie they explain during the movie that when the crown is worn by the true heir of the throne it glows
I may be a Slytherin, but pre-2007 Barbie movies are my kryptonite.
princess + the pauper is good but i personally think it’s very overhyped. island princess is just as good of a musical, and deserves more attention.
island princess is SO good
Growing up, I didn't like island princess much, I found the animals a little bit annoying, especially the elephant, but it came out when I was like 2 or something, so when I watched it, I was super young 😂 so I rewatched all the films during summer 2019 and I realised island princess is quite good 😂 but princess and the pauper is still my fav 😂

Tbh I don't even know if Princess and the pauper would crack top 10 for me anymore. I used to rate it so high bc nostalgia but so many other barbie movies are better 👉👈
Oh my god! The last time I watched The Princess and the Pauper I noticed all the little things with the necklace given to the cat, the present coming with strings, and the stolen fools gold. It blew my mind. I’m so glad that someone else picked up on it. ♥️
The nutcracker: insolent mice!
Me, an intellectual: *insulin* mice!
a bit sad Mermadia wasn’t on the list, especially because the it had a ton of funny lines and the special feature at the end was super nostalgic to me
It also had great lessons too its my second fav barbue movie its really deserves top 1
Sorry top 10
I love how when she moves onto another movie, and she just adds in a really random funny clip from the movie. Like that’s amazing-
Princess charm school literally is such q big part of my childhood! I watched it like 5 time and even had the picturebook
I can’t believe none of the Fairytopia movies made it in the list! They are some of the most nosolgic movies for me!
I love all these movies just upset that my girl fairytopia mermaidia didn’t get in the list 😌
And Mariposa, for me,..somehow..
but probably Thumbelina for me too.. lol
im MAD that the barbie diaries didn't get on the top 10!!!!!!!!!
that is just for the poor animation. i know the story is good but i just can’t with the animation sadly like many others. it’s does deserve more than it got/gets
The story line was good, some of the songs were okay, but the animation is wayyy too scary 😂😂😂
Next Barbie movie idea:
Ranking Barbie characters with the same name! Or ranking Barbie transformations :D
Top 5
1 princess and the pauper
2 princess charm school
3 12 dancing princesses
4 island princess
5 mermaid tale
Another flaw with Princess charm school: she randomly transferred in and was able to graduate in just a semester? huh?
Princess and the Pauper & Rapunzel are my favorites... I don't really care about the others
Fairy secret didn’t make it. IM MAD
I love the aesthetic of diamond castle gives me very ✨cottage core lesbian✨ vibes
HAHAHAHAH GIRL I-
YES
Barbie was ahead of her time😔✊
Rapunzel truly had the most cohesive and well thought out plot... them forgetting to wash the painting off the door and then using it to TRAP GOTHEL IN THE TOWER
genius.
dressing up brietta was my favorite thing to do words cannot describe how nostalgic it feels to see it
I’m satisfied with this tier lost, but I wish swan lake was higher! I’m glad it made the top 10 at least. I’m shook at how high princess charm school is (but I also didn’t grow up with this one, so 🤷♀️). And Princess and the Pauper is inarguably #1
15:55 omg ikrr i used to make fun of the song with my sister bc of how they pronounced "believe" weirdly loll
My brother and I knew the whole script to a princess charm school when we were younger. We assigned characters each and we would easily just say everything word for word without or subtitles or anything... the memories 🥺
this is adorable
Hey people reading this, I've never been first so Hi🤗😇😁
Diamond castle: Oh they're definetly gay. Their dresses literally resemble the lesbian and bi pride flag.
Nutcracker, Rapunzel, Swan Lake and Princess and the Pauper is all pre 2004 though

Gothel was such a great villain. Other than being voiced by Anjelica Huston, she almost started a full out war between two kingdoms just because she was a woman scorned.
how could i never notice that 12 dancing princesses's names are in alphabetical order?!?!
Why’s no one talking about why mermaid tale and fashion fairytale didn’t make the list they were so good
Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses is definitely one of my favorites if not my favorite Barbie movie but I can’t watch it very often because it legit gives me motion sickness, like I always feel nauseous watching it. You always want what you can’t have.
In the ball scene, I thought Rothbart made himself appear like Odette's father, I may be wrong tho
I am HERE for this, haven’t watched yet but I hope A Fashion Fairy Tale makes it!!
