Great find! I have a very similar trombone made by E Paulus of Berlin. The snakes on mine are less elaborate. I'm going to have a detachable counterweight made because it's so darned slide-heavy. The garland on mine is very small. The range overall is better than most of my modern horns. I was on the hunt for a German 19th century horn with thin metal, soft alloy, and the Paulus checked all the right boxes.

Nice little series on German trombones. It is good to have the same piece played by the same player on different trombones. Please add more examples like your own Kruspe Weschke.
