    Thanks for the shoutout Charlie!!!! also FUN FACT, Galaga and Mappy have the exact same pinout and connector setup, so if you have either cab you can swap boards with zero mods required.

    Mr. Do was a really popular arcade game back in the 80's. The sequels Mr. Do's Castle, Mr. Do's Wild Ride, and Do Run Run also did well. Liked playing it a lot. Not only could you get extra Mr. Do's for spelling the word EXTRA, if a diamond appeared on the screen and you picked it up, you were awarded a free game.

    • @overtimearcade
      @overtimearcade  20 дней назад

      Yup, the original Mr. Do! was everywhere back in the day, as it was super popular as a conversion kit among operators. You still see Castle and Wild Ride too, although I think Do! Run Run is rather uncommon. I own a DRR PCB, and I think it’s the only game I have that Galloping Ghost doesn’t have!

    I remember seeing those Midway coin doors back in the seventies on a lot of older Midway games. Somebody must have put that coin door on from another game. I remember a lot of the older Midway games that use guns or things like that had those type of coin doors on them the older gunfight games.

    • @overtimearcade
      @overtimearcade  19 дней назад

      Yeah, I guess it was meant as a start button? But I wonder if it’s a replacement like you suggested, or if GAT used old leftover Midway coin doors and couldn’t be bothered to rebadge them?

      @@overtimearcadeyeah you're right I remember it was a start button. If my memory corrects me I think I saw that coin door on a game called boot hill. Could be wrong but that's what pops in my mind. Anyways great channel keep up the good work. 👍

  • @tigheklory

    If that bezel is painted on both sides you could probably just take a razor blade and scrape the paint that was added off to get your QIX art back? You should dump the ROMs off that Mr. Do! board. The slowdown seems to happen with the super ball explosion. Mr. Do! has super deep gameplay you really should learn it as it is SO much better than Dig Dug. You know it is my #2 favorite game.

    • @overtimearcade
      @overtimearcade  21 день назад

      It’s only painted black on one side. I held it up to the light and didn’t see anything, so I think the original bezel art is gone, unfortunately.
      I’ll dump the ROMs at some point. Perhaps this is a bootleg board with Taito ROMs?

      @@overtimearcade restoring those games to a person like myself who can't do it your work is indistinguishable from Magic. I'm more of a Pac-Man Space Invaders type of guy but that cabinet of The Simpsons and those colors makes that cabinet something special. Plus the Simpsons. There is not a single game on the 60 in 1 that plays or sounds great. It's all software emulation based on early, buggy, pirated MAME. If you don't care about originality, go for it. I'd rather play on the original games I cut my teeth on in the 80's.
