    Your car is the exact same job as my 2016 golf gtd. You are correct, different to golfs yet same as a mk7 gtd. Good video im definitely taking the seat out first as u recommend 👍

    Grand video! Couple of things, don't need to remove the sacrificial plastic when removing the knee air bag with an open end but bit fiddly getting them back in if you don't. Little star washer holding heat shield on... Have fun...Little box of trix hiding the 13mm for the bar. Someone else said about taking out the little box to the right, certainly helps. Carfull with the steel liners on the main unit they can pop out when your re-installing making it fun. Stick some blue tack in the end of your socket when your putting the 3 nuts back on.... That top left one...... So fun.... Bleed nipple was in a different spot on mine, part of the salve maybe but it's just above the starter motor on this plastic fitting. Bleed a couple of times pumping the clutch with the valve closed. Works great. Garry... thanks pal!!! Wouldn't have been able todo this with out you! 👍

    Good go at that master cylinder. I've done them on BMW's before and they are similar. I'm doing one today on a Porsche and the master looks similar but I think that's where the similarities end with this one. I've never done a Porsche before so I'll be kind of like you were on this video, learning as I go. I should have the video done in a few days. Thanks for posting.

    Good video, just changed mine and the are a few things worth knowing... to bleed the clutch you need to rotate the yellow plastic bleed nipple by 180° to allow flow. You don't need interior panel tools, if you remove the little storage cover by the odb port you can see enough. You need a 500mm extension, and a swivel joint and then you can remove all the clutch pedal nuts relatively easily. Total time for me to do it was 4hrs.

      Hi there Scott, the yellow screw do you mean the bleed screw ? Thank you, josh

    • @garywilkostube3435
      @garywilkostube3435  Год назад

      Hmmm I never had a yellow bleed nipple not that it matters but didn’t really think bleeding the clutch was that difficult.i didn’t think the pedal bolts were hard either just the 13mm bolt holding the metal bar thing in place!

    • @scottfunkattron4820
      @scottfunkattron4820 Год назад

      @@joshstone118 yeah, on my car it's a yellow plastic bleed nipple, that you rotate through 180 degrees to open the valve to bleed the clutch line.

      @@garywilkostube3435 yeah that bar was one of the tricky ones. One other thing I found after when I threw my old master cylinder away, the sensor plug that you removed can be avoided as you can release the whole sensor pack, and the clip for that is in full view - bit easier than unplugging. Anyway good video, very helpful :)

      Ummm about 5-6 hours! I think if I was to do it again I would whip the drivers seat out to allow me to lay on me back lol 😂 the worst part was that damm 13 mm bolt holding the bar in front of the clutch and break pedal!
