- This is the sound we here every Saturday at noon here in Oklahoma, I know you can hear a few whelens, modulators, and maybe you can hear the 2T22's and Thunderbolts, there's one right down from my apartments but I don't think it sounded x.x also, sorry for the crappy vid quality, my sony handycam has stereo recording, and is sadly a Standard Def camera x.x

I could listen to Moore’s Sirens for hours
Same
Same here
They’re so calming
I have the blessing of hearing them every Saturday!
It's crazy to think that both this video and the tornado were almost an entire decade ago. The scenery and the ambience gives me this nostalgia about everything that happened back then, It's very humbling.
One of the best ambiences I have ever heard! Moore has a great system! When it combines with the OKC Whelens, the tone is beautiful but scary at the same time!
I love how Moore OK modulators sounds so beautiful
Ikr
bro i love the ambience of all The sirens,whelens,modulators,2T22S,3T22S,thunderbolts
I agree.... I was several blocks away (as is my house) and that tornado was a monster! I've seen the damage first hand... its so surreal. very sobering.
God love those kids who thought the sirens were going off for a tornado warning but they didn’t know that Oklahoma City was just conducting some tornado siren tests
Ouch, this vid was uploaded 3 months before the big day.
DUDE THIS WAS 5 MONTHS BEFORE THE MOORE EF5
That sounds... AWESOME!
Lol, if you notice you can hear our neighbors puppy howling at them, its a cute little husky pup!
How is the puppy now
@@snowysmile9082 I believe a tornado made a direct hit in the area. And so they might not live next to each other anymore. I could be wrong.
The whelens were faint, but I could hear them. The mod was loud, and I also heard the 2T22. I'm pretty sure I also heard a Thunderbolt at certain points too
Little did they know that they would actually take a direct hit from an EF5 a few months later
bkriegel95 sadly.
Moore's still got about 5 T-Bolt 1000Ts. THOSE could have saved lots of lives.
Takes me back to that day
2013
those kids were SOOOO SCARED OMG LOL!!!!!! XD
I have lived there for most of my life and I don't want to left Moore,Ok
I'm pretty sure this was near South Moore High school because you could hear the modulator LOUD & CLEAR, and the Modulators (both of them) are like, right next to South Moore High.
PhantomWolfGames it's by the elementary school my brother go there by the Front of the school it's a White ring I guess on a Pole that talk and say stuff this is only a whatever it said
A Test
PhantomWolfGames this is only a test
they had been going off, off and on for awhile before it hit, that and it was on like every radio station and stuff... we had about 16 mins or so to get ready for the storm... it was intense
One of my dreams is to come here and live this moments
I'm not afraid of tornadoes. It's my dream to experience a tornado warning and the adrenaline that comes with it.
Oh no! I really hope it wasn't being replaced. That was the second healthiest sounding one. And probably the loudest siren I have ever recorded. Wonder why they took it down for repairs even, though...if it was a radio problem they probably could have just gotten into the control boxes and left the head up.
I hear kids in the background saying sirens,
SiArens
Nice video!! Weird that the Thunderbolt isn't working...I thought that thing was the best one of the bunch, besides the one at Moore HS. You can still hear one pop in every couple seconds!
We're all praying around here Martin. I didn't loose anyone close to me as far as I know but my best friend lost her house... sadly... and the official count is 24... remaining at 24 too... the most grim story is of the kids at the Plaza Towers elementary school... what a shame..
I listened for the siren again yesterday and no close Tbolt heard, I think I was hearing the one at the HS though... sad day x.x
Sounds spooky!
In this vid the siren right down the street wasn't working. also, I think I had the "zoom mic" setting on x.x its plenty loud in real life.
I live in Britain and the tornado is making the news here. I would like send all my thoughts and prayers to all of those affected in Moore and other parts of Oklahoma City. I sincerely hope these sirens did their job and many heeded the warnings, although I know at least 91 people have sadly died as the EF4 was extremely devastating (I think the speed was below 200mph which is why it wasn't EF5). I hope you're okay too classof2k10 and you haven't lost anyone personally.
Martin RWT You guys have interesting sirens there in the UK. Carters and a few others I believe? Do they ever use them for anything other than floods like the rare tornado or high winds?
I'll also say that given this was an EF5 in an suburban area, it's a "good"/miraculous" thing that the death toll wasn't above 24 and into the 100s, which would've been the case, say 20 years or so ago. We should be thankful that the Tornado Warning System, be it Doplar, Sirens, NWS, EAS, 24 news reports, have improved significantly over that period. 16 minutes is a darn sight better than 4 minutes or a few seconds warning! Take Care Class!
that's the kind of siren I have where I live lol
That poor kid's just shrieking "SIRENS"
That musta scared them to hell.
OH and if you cut between a couple seconds, you can see the sun move across that car's glass
From what I heard in your vid its a healthy one too. I live off of Janeway and 12th, I'd have figured that the Thunderbolt would've drowned out the rest. I wonder what Tbolt I heard?
1:43 what’s happening in the background??😮
Hehe the kids are saying its the end of the world!
Droideka133 Because a video on the internet shows exactly what happened right? According to local news, and my personal experience being around 20 miles away, the warning sounded 36 minutes before the tornado hit Moore. Sirens in Newcastle, OKC, and Moore went off all at about the same time. Compare to May 3, 1999. 41 people lost to that tornado, as opposed to 25 in 2013. I'd say we were better prepared this time. Might wanna
***** Whelens
+DiegoPlayz - Minecraft - don't quote me, but I think, judging by the description, it could only be a whelen, o Dr a siren he didn't mention
I was a little disappointed to not hear the thunderbolts but at least the 2t22 was hearable and there is another Moore siren ambience on RUclips that has clear sounding thunderbolts. Overall, this ambience is well done
carto0ndude I could hear them
You can definitely hear some Thunderbolts. They’re further away tho so they’re harder to hear over the Modulator and the OKC Whelens
2T22❤
Hi thanks for your reply, I'm glad you and those close to you are okay, although I'm sorry a friend of yours lost their house. Yeah I did post a second message saying the death toll was now 24 and I'm not surprised that the tornado has been upgraded to an EF5 because the wind speed went above 200mph. I still send my best wishes to you and everyone else in Moore. I hope you're okay, how is your house? Take care and I hope the community can rebuild itself soon.
so this is the madness that happens when theres a tornado warning in oklahoma city area..
the one during the beginning?
Sounds like the old Hawaii I was born into before growing up and just hearing those stupid modulators and other crapotronic speaker sirens!
this video was recorded Saturday at noon.
what
+goose maverick every Saturday at noon Moore has its weekly siren test.
How many whelens did they have?
I wonder how many of these sirens were destroyed in the Tornado.
O.o Wow!
I hear a Modulator, 2T22, and Whelens in this video.
and a thunderbolt and a dual tone modulator
I love Sunny wheater
they will be hearing those in three months! ef 5
I used this awesome video for my vid, credits go to you and I subbed link will be sent later
I outran the storm that threatened to hit Wichita, KS the day before you guys got hit. The sirens in Wichita did the same thing, sounded for a bit, went off, came back on, etc. In my hometown, they sound before the storm hits and switch to an attack pattern when the storm hits.
crosscountrytc I live there and the county is replacing all the good original sirens with shitty ATIs
@@anthonymoreno3455 So i'm not the only one who thinks ATIs are shit? that's reassuring.
Especially since Tulsa keeps replacing perfectly functioning thunderbolts with those
0:27 sirens start
Hey as an update dillon, the siren is gone I think o.o I didn't see it the other day..... maybe its down for service or being replaced.
That kid did NOT like the tornado sirens at ALL. Holy fuck.
I hope he was ok when the tornado came through.
0:27
You should record the ambience from there now since they have ThunderMod if you still live there. If not I can just go there myself, lol. From 2:33-2:35 you can pretty clearly hear a Major 3rd Modulator. It’s heard frequently throughout the video but that was the clearest point it was heard.
I miss the old Modulator tones to be honest (Especially the Major 3rd), since they could carry much farther, but I like the ThunderMod tones as well.
@@Zynueffe Same. They might be switch them back to the old tones including Major 3rd soon
@@AndrewWT5020 I really hope so
@@Zynueffe Me too
I hear the official figure is now 24, which is far better than 91 but still I'm think of all of those affected.
amen! or t-121s :)
The girls in the background are saying, "mommy, quick!"
They haven’t lived in Moore for a while XD
@@sirensandrailroadsofoklahoma Apparently not lol
tbolt right at 2:29 And 2:30
Hope that kid did okay when the tornado happened.
My city probably has the creepiest ambience of 508s and 128 not I am not talking about Nashville
I heard the RT22's and Thunderbolts
2T22'S*
Doesn't need an Apostrophe because the 2t22 is not possessive of anything. So it would be 2t22s.
The 2t22's power supply for example.
The siren? at the firestation.... now if you mean actual thunder, its testing day
3:04
i am sorry to say this but they need t-121s or t-135s becasue that is kinda quiet
2T22'S*
2T22 sound like Modulator on chopper level 6
Modulator on chopper level 6?
you mean ThunderMod right?
1:22 Siren
Oklahoma has too many towns with whelen sirens they need real outdoor warnings sirens like the -128 and the t-135
Jared Heyde more like a CRAP ton of Thunderbolts
Or at least some P-50s
@@SirenDude1003 our sentry sirens were replaced with 4004's there is 6 of them within a mile of my home. Two days ago, standing on our front porch they were barely audible. The sentries were so much louder and the new sirens are all in the same exact locations as the old one. The fire station has a model 5 on their roof. It goes off and everybody hears it. If it's going off you can count that something is gonna hit!!
Jared Heyde take that back
I just watched a video of the moor Tornado....they didnt go off until very VERY late. Could have probably saved some lives if they went off BEFORE they tornado actually hit the town
Droideka133 I would rather it be a false alarm than have no warning at all this is why people die to these things.
They did go off when the tornado was first touching down.
Every Saturday? Multiple large tornadoes? Who would wanna live there???
+Pugsnguineapigs 02 MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dreamtown for stormchasers
the sirens in my town in wisconsin go off most saturdays (except winter cause... ya know... winter) though i would prefer oklahoma
This guy is cute.
It was a warning.
i see no tornado or thunder
@@ghousted865 The original comment was deleted
No, all of the tornado sirens get tested every Saturday at noon time. They are tested to make sure they work properly. It’s not a warning or anything because it’s daylight with a clear blue sky. When the sky is looking dark and you have a storm coming your way, and you get a warning, or watch, or emergency warning, the sirens will go off.
Although, an EF5 made a direct hit, in this area.
I heard a 3t22 siren.
2t22
Ugh, who else here hates hornets.
they need eclipse 8s and 508s if there a fs town
+Tyler Copeland Why do you comment on people's siren videos saying they need a 508 or T-series? I say more Modulators.
+Quentin “Sussles” Richards 508s are a lot louder than mods
Tyler Copeland But Mods don't rely on a lot of electricity for a motor.
If you want to get a siren, get a 2001 or a Thunderbolt.
+Quentin “Sussles” Richards no this town needs t-128s
Tyler Copeland No. This town needs P-50's.
was THIS AREA DAMAGED BY THE TORNADO
Jesus Christ, calm down.
Oh and Yes, it was.
This is on 12th st in Moore. The 2013 tornado went through 4th and 19th. 1 and 2 miles south of this location, respectively. It was on track for 12th before it turned hard right and went due east through the city.
Kid crying in background
THERE WAS NO TORNADO
He knows that.

not so cute when the real thing hits..
I hear only a ACA HURRICANE
There were actually Hurricanes in Moore but they’re long gone now.
