Side note I ordered some Prince Albert match from pipes & cigars. I really like this match blend more of a larger cut but I keep coming back to this match blend
You are not the first who is gushing over the Granger Nathan i know quite a few who regard this burley as one of the best, i smoked it years ago, watching your video gives me the push to try it again. Love the Peterson apple 87 for clearance sale price it is a bargen, just ordered. perfect👌 Your garden is blooming lovely 👍
Yes I know Gary I asked many and all echo your comment. Some prefer it to the Mac Maren Burley London will be interesting to compare. Enjoy the pipe it is elegant & smokes fantastically
Thanks Daniel. The hike was gruelling yet rejuvenating & the bbq was lovely. My wife was amazed how much meat can men eat after a walk in the countryside as my wife puts it😂
Most relaxing video Nathan. Lovely pipe you have there i will consider buying one for the current clearance price on BS. The blend certainly interest me as i do enjoy a quality Burley especially when it does not cost an arm & leg. Your garden looks very nice & lush enjoy it. Regards. Daniel
Good Afternoon 😊 Beautiful Pipe 😍 Thanks for the reviews , Tobacco sounds good 😋 Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the blend 👍🏼 Have a wonderful day 🤗 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Thanks for the review Nathan, both for the pipe and the blend. I’m not sure if you have reviewed Peterson’s University Flake yet, but if you haven’t, give it a shot. I just did recently, being the first burley blend I tried I almost instantly fell in love with it. It’s really a virginia/burley blend, so not pure burley, but maaaan it’s super delicious. Much cooler and slower burning than my regular vaper blends. To be honest that’s all I want to smoke lately. Anyways, enjoyed your video as always!
Hello Nathan! Very nice Peterson with a beautiful Cumberland mouthpiece….and for that price i wouldn’t think twice. Seems to have the same size and shape as my 107 Army Mount. I like the Army Mounts and i have a few Peterson‘s with this system. My last acquirement was a Peterson SH Deerstalker. Dark brown, smooth, silver band and P-Lip….. a very thin/small P-Lip. I have a XL 315 with a „normal“ P-Lip that is way too chunky. I don’t know if only the higher priced Peterson‘s have this small P-Lip or maybe only the Sherlock Holmes but i do not like the chunky (especially the upper part) P-Lip on my 315. It’s almost like the Dental Stems on the Falcon pipes. I think i will shave it down a bit and polish it. Some tobaccos i don’t like in the beginning grew on my after some time and some that i liked at the beginning of a new tin i didn’t buy again 🙂 Regards Michael
Thanks Michael. I once tried a P Lip I didn’t like the feel in my mouth. One of the reasons was the wider stem button so interesting you mentioned a thin P Lip. The other issue was that it felt uncomfortable when the smoke hit my upper lip. It might need some getting used to especially for those who suffer from tongue bite that thankfully I don’t.
@@TheVapingPiper I don’t need a P-Lip for a good smoke but it was a nice variant i wanted to try…especially at the beginning of pipe smoking. Most of my Petersons have a standard mouthpiece but this one P-Lip is monstrous 😄 compared to the others.
Wonderful pipe, I’ve actually been looking at the 230 model and quite tempted too, it’s my birthday on the 3rd so I may treat myself. That tobacco sounds a lovely blend but you are correct we can’t get it in the U.K. and getting it shipped from the states will sting me in taxes as I’ve been hit by them only last month when Dave very kindly bought the churchwarden for me and had £50 to pay which was a pain but in the end worth it. Have a great week and if I do decide to buy the 230 I’ll let you know my thoughts.
@PiperX1X the 230 is a nice looking bend billiard would wait for your thoughts when / if you get it. As for US shipping I would not buy any tobacco products directly from a US online vendor I learned my lesson the hard way. Tip. If someone is shipping to you privately they must not emphasise the nature of the shipment. In this instance less info the better
Nice Peteron Apple with the army mount. Very handsome. I have a tub of Granger, unopened from 12 years ago! Being a Burley, will it have aged okay do you think? I can highly recommend the London Burley 2024. You are in for a treat, in my opinion. I also have tins of the 2022 I think, but yet to open. I believe it was Paladin Piper who thought the recent incarnation was better than the one before. Now, Salty Dogs, also a very firm favourite of mine. May I ask where you buy yours from. Is it available in the UK, or do you get from Continental Europe or the US? I have been buying mine from the USA. Hope you are well, Nathan and take care. (Sorry, I typed the bit about buying Salty Dogs, just before you said you get it cheaper in Germany!)
Nice pipe Nathan with a nice cumberland stem. If it had had a p lip it would have been a dealbreaker for me as i really dont like them, they burn your upper lip and are way too big imo. As for the Granger ive yet to try a burley forward tobacco but im expecting some haunted bookshop to arrive soon which im looking foward to.
That really is a great looking pipe. Granger is a good burley as well
Thanks. I very much enjoy the Granger. I find it to be so satisfying

For good reason our grandparents enjoyed the Prince Albert for their every day smoke

Take care pal 🙏

🤣🤣🤣 Brilliant,
Reminds me of when I was in scouts getting back to camp and eating a lot to refuel!,
Glad you had a great day.

Thanks Daniel. Worth getting the pipe & blend. Next time your relative visits NY he can bring you a tin. They are widely available. Take care
Granger is a great blend! Certainly doesn't get the attention it deserves!
I agree Benjamin. Thanks for your feedback
Some day i need to brake down and get a Paterson Pipe. Thanks, interesting video.
😀 may that day arrive sooner then later. Thanks Jim.

Nathan, Granger was Carl Jung's favourite tobacco.
Thanks Aleksander for the info. I do enjoy this blend
