1820 is very good! I got a tinin the us recently. It's pretty different from Penzance in my opinion. I'd definitely like to get more haha.

I have tried several blends based on your recommendations. thank you for all that you do. The YTPC definitely loves you, as do I. That pipe was unbelievably beautiful. I really liked your lighter as well. Funny, tonight my $65 Colibri lighter stopped working. The piezo igniter quit. I’m a real big fan of using a flint and a flint wheel for my butane lighters. The piezo -igniter lighters don’t seem to last for me. Stay healthy my friend.

The Zippo with fluid is a hazard if you drop it while driving. With a butane the flame goes out cause the button gets released when you drop it under your seat while going down the highway.

You should give a try to the passe canoe pure orientals. One the best blend I ever smoked.

Thank you for all the valuable information. Can anyone tell me if their is any differences in taking care of a dyed meerschaum pipe. I purchased a dyed pipe from IMP Meerschaums pipes.

Brilliant end of the year video & suitable blend. Years ago I had a few tins of the 1820 flake. As it happens often with certain blends lack of availability causes a change in preference so I never tried the mixture version. I hope GQ still has it available I definitely would like to try it again. It was an absolute pleasure following you on this channel for the last year. I bought a pack of cigarettes when I was 18 because I could. Smoked through the pack. Didn’t really want more. Occasionally enjoyed cigars over the years. At 36 I picked up pipe smoking and like the ritual. It is a mindful practice. I do have to watch nicotine strength. Peterson’s Nightcap is a strong one for me. 😅

I bought my first regular zippo about a month ago. So far, the two things I like about the zippo is- that it works consistently and that the flint wheel etc. is enclosed by a case when it is not in use. Tasting zippo fluid for a while is the one unfortunate quality to using a zippo. I have a butane lighter with the pipe tools on the side and I have not found it to be as reliable. Lovely video. I really didn’t like 2023 but I let it sit in a mason jar with a 72% moisture pack for about 8 months now I really like it ..gotta try the 2024 .I think this is a totally different blend.I wonder if this is similar to Best Brown Flake of Samuel Gawith ?

Niche & local tobacco companies like Sutliff & MB are consumed by corporate & global enterprises causing massive job loss and 100’s of years of blending craftsmanship disappears for ever. I do believe in some form of competitive capitalism, but this move is way out of line. We all must support our local tobacco companies to form some kind of check & control on prices and keep the blends we love to remain available. Forgive me on the rant but I bet we all feel the same. With hope for better news on the coming year I wish you, family & guys a happy new year. Btw I love your Poker it is a stunning pipe

My dear Nathan although most likely I wouldn’t have a chance to smoke this blend nevertheless I most enjoyed today’s video. It does sound tempting to try 14 year old red Virginia especially as I understood it was sourced from McClelland’s. The ending of the video was beautiful and the background theme of Carol of the bells was moving. I have only tried the 2023 and recently picked up another tin. Rather enjoyed that one.
