36:38 I like your way of explaining pipe smoking. I am a former snusare/snuffer. I live in Sweden and have used snus since I was about 13 years old. When I switched to portion snus, I almost used snus 24/7. I started experimenting with pipe smoking in 2015. I have bought a few pipes (about 30 maybe) and smoke mostly English blends and alternate with pure Virginia tobacco. My grandfather smoked a pipe and I loved the smell. Now I'm 58 years old and I haven't used snus in 5 years. In the summer I smoke a pipe several times a week and in the winter it's mostly on the weekends. I really enjoy smoking a pipe. I don't have to inhale the smoke but it happens sometimes. Thank you for your Channel🙏😁
Thank you for sharing your interesting way you came about to pipe smoking. I giggled when you say you bought a few pipes (30😂). I assume Snus is what we call Snuff (powdered tobacco) that to honest I never used. Surely pipe moking is more enjoyable in all aspects😊
Well Nathan this is the journey I’m on. I’ve been smoking cigarettes for 45 years. Now I’m 60 years old trying to make the switch from cigarettes to a pipe. It’s definitely going to be a challenge.
Well I am here if you need a helping hand. You can reach me by email if you want. But one advice I can give you here is that besides the right pipe & your chosen blend, Patience and persevering are the main two ingredients for success. Over time you would learn to taste your tobacco and enjoy your smoking sessions so much better. Above all enjoy your pipe journey in all its aspects
Hi Nathan, I hope you and the family are well, Apologies I haven't been commenting as much these akstvfew weeks, just life throwing up a hurdle or two, But I still watch and relax, and it helps me chill out. Keep up the great work, the channel is growing and I have no doubt will be as successful as NET Vaper or even more. Take care my friend and stay safe 🙏
One other benefit, the smell of the cigarette versus the smell of the pipe. I also smoked for 25 years and during that time the smell stayed with me...I didn't notice it but nonsmokers around me definitely did and a lot of them frankly didn't like it. Pipe smoke on the other hand doesn't seem to bother people around me as much. Thanks again for another great video.
Well Tom your comment resonates well with my wife’s complaints back in the day when I smoked 20 cigarettes per day about the awful smell in the car & on my clothing😊 thankfully those days are over as she loves pipe tobacco room note especially the aromatic variants
Hope all is well nathan i hope your wife feels better soon !! And i have been of cigarettes for almost 5 years . Been vaping sense i quit cigarettes. Also started smoking a pipe a year ago and i love it ! Unfortunately my job in the oil and gas its tough smoking a pipe so i vape while im at work .but guess what ? Watched your review on net e liquid black note so i ordered latakia , kentucky , and cavedish, cant wait for it to arrive! But i enjoy my pipe every morning and at night afterwork ! Pipe smoking is something i will never quit !
Thanks for your comment. Black Note NETs are intended top quality. Enjoy them. We are very alike in our vaping / pipe smoking combo although I don’t smoke my pipe daily but like you I thoroughly enjoy it the few times per week I smoke my pipe.
Enjoyed the video Nathan. I smoked for around 25 years then discovered vaping. Not been pipe smoking long as you know but as you say a good vape before the pipe covers any nicotine issues and only occasionally I’ll inhale on the pipe more through habit than needing to. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 👍🏻
Best wishes, and prayers for your wifes quick recovery. An interesting video, with good points. It was still a interesting even from a non cigarette smokers point of view
First Nathan i wish your dear wife better i also noticed a increase in flu cases or perhaps it is the new Covid. Hopefully she feels better soon. Please send her our best wishes. Now to the interesting subject you spoke about that you basically covered it without the need for me to add anything meaningful ☺ i would just add the i found the transition from cigarette smoking to pipe smoking very easy maybe because i was not a heavy cigarette to start with but pipe smoking for me started more as a curiosity & over time & experience it turned out to be my most relaxing & enjoyable activity that over 30 years down the road has never diminished in fact with all the new blends that are now available is even more enjoyable. Thanks for you raising this subject that i enjoyed while smoking the excellent Sansepolcro 👍 Have a restful weekend & speedy recovery to your wife. Regards Daniel.
Thanks Daniel I will pass on your best wishes. Also your input is always appreciated coming from a long term & experience pipe smoker. Take care & regards to Beth.
First let me say I hope your wife feels better prayers for her. I still smoke cigarettes but am slowing down going back to my pipe. I have one Peterson it’s an old Donegal Rocky and I love it but also love my collection of GBD pipes as well. Rattrays makes wonderful old school tobacco. Again thanks for sharing
Thank you Michael. I will pass on your best wishes. Also thank you for sharing your experience with your transition from cigarette smoking to pipe smoking. I wish you a successful transition to a much less harmful & much tastier experience with pipe smoking
Our experience is very similar, 30 years of cigarettes and 2-4 years vaping. Once I quit vaping I found that I do get enough nicotine from a pipe but I prefer stronger blends like Haunted Bookshop, basically blends with air cured burley and Perique. Vaping jacks up your need for nicotine so much and I believe inhaling detracts from taste. I occasionally have an urge to inhale when smoking mild blends first thing in the morning. I smoke 3-6 pipes a day, which is a lot for me and I’d like to get back to 3 a day, unfortunately I’m chasing nicotine again. Inhaling is a hard habit to break for some of us. I hope your wife feels better. Good video.
Thanks Matt for sharing your experience. Yes vaping does Jack up the need for higher nicotine intake. Although I vape on 9mg freebase still most pipe blend do not provide me with sufficient nicotine without occasional inhaling, that is why I always vape before I smoke my pipe so I don’t get the need to inhale. Hopefully over time I would be satisfied with the nicotine that I absorb through the mouth & retro inhale so I wouldn’t need to vape before & immediately after I smoke my pipe😊
@@TheVapingPiper I started with nicotine salts 50mg and transitioned down in strength until finally to freebase 6-12 milligrams towards the end. I’d probably still be vaping but the price seemed unreasonable for me personally. I love tobacco but like you I’m fairly active and health conscious. I’m really enjoying your content and I’m sorry I never found you when I was vaping. I’m in recovery so I’m keen to keep my need for chemicals down, I love exhibiting restraint but sometimes compromise is necessary. I’m loving your approach and the types of topics you cover. All the best.
Nice pipe...Smoking a bones with Stockkebye Ben's Nouget. Have been smoking a lot of Elizabethan lately. Do enjoy sharing a pipe with you. THANK YOU, God Bless and hope your wife is better soon.
The first time I ever smoked I was 16. Winston red cigarette. I started smoking cigars and a pipe when I was 18 after wanting to for much of my adolescence. Over the last few months I returned to smoking cigarettes occasionally (1-3 per day, 3-4 days per week) and smoking a cigar roughly once a week.
Thanks for sharing your experience. In contrast to your one cigar per week habit I couldn’t stick to one cigar per week so I didn’t tempt it and stick to my pipe tobacco instead which I enjoy without the extravagant cost involved of cigars especially here in the UK.
I'm a pipe smoker first and foremost but i do enjoy a roll-up sometimes, factory cigarettes no way though, they are rank. Regarding your later point about the nicotine craving, there is snuff or these pouches which are really convenient. I go through a tub every three days.
Believe it or not I never smoked a roll up. In fact a while back I noticed a friend was smoking a roll up cigarette made from Orlik Golden Slice pipe tobacco. Interesting idea, he definitely seemed to enjoy it😀 did I understand you right a tub of snuff every 3 days
I bought a pack of cigarettes when I was 18 because I could. Smoked through the pack. Didn’t really want more. Occasionally enjoyed cigars over the years. At 36 I picked up pipe smoking and like the ritual. It is a mindful practice. I do have to watch nicotine strength. Peterson’s Nightcap is a strong one for me. 😅
I never was a cigarette smoker, I used to smoke a cigar occasionally. I don’t buy cigars anymore so when the humidor is empty that is it. Now I smoke a couple of bowls a week just to relax and enjoy the flavour of the tobacco. I have been smoking a pipe this way for 8 years or so and sometimes when smoking a higher nicotine blend (for example Salty Dogs) i have to stop mid bowl to prevent nicotine sickness.
Thanks for sharing your pipe smoking experience. Interesting about the nicotine hit from the salty dogs which to me as a vaper find it to be quite mild😀 anyway it comes to show that overtime your body adjust to the lower nicotine delivery of pipe smoking and that is sufficient to keep one satisfied.
@@TheVapingPiper I am a nicotine lightweight and do prefer lower nicotine blends. I do love Salty Dogs but I have to smoke it slowly. I have a few pouches of it in my cellar maybe the nicotine gets less with age? Sometimes I make the TheVapingPiper blend and mix it with OGS that lowers the nicotine just enough.
Good Morning 😊 Beautiful Pipe 😍 Prayers For Your Wife 🙏🏽 May The Lord Grant Her a Speedy Recovery 🙏🏽 Ease and Comfort During These Times 🙏🏽 Pipe Smoking is a Lifestyle , Appreciate The Aroma and Taste of The Tobaccos 😋 Cigarettes is All About The Nicotine and Fast Pace of Life 😮 Intresting and Informative Video 💯 You make Excellent Points 👍🏼 Thanks For The Video and Have a Fabulous Sunday 🙏🏽 Happy Piping 🌬💨💨 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦

Thanks for sharing your experience. Probably the higher nicotine blends is sufficient. Btw did you ever smoke the HH Rustica flake, it certainly packs a nicotine punch
Nathan. I’m praying for your wife to have a speedy and complete recovery. Do you guys use ivermectin over there? You can even take it prophylactically. I’m lucky because I never smoked before taking up the pipe. I am addicted emotionally to the experience of pipe smoking. You have a blessed weekend my friend.
Thanks John. Ivermectin?? I had to google it😀 unless I am missing something apparently it is to treat parasites so no relevance to flu like symptoms😂 as for the latter of your comment yes you are lucky not being addicted to the nicotine element in pipe smoking just to the enjoyment element alone.
