Thanks for sharing the video and how you pack the 316! The only Savinelli in my rotation is the 316 KS Roma Lucite. I really enjoy this shape and it has been a pleasure to smoke.
Hi Nathan, I have 5 316s great shape for my Virginias. When it comes to breaking in my new pipes I’ve stopped using honey. When using honey the cake does build up quickly but it doesn’t go rock hard. It does go hard but not rock hard, which is better when you come to reaming. I’ve found this out over 47yrs of smoking a pipe. Love your videos. Charles.
Amazing Charles, five 316’s😀 thanks for the tip regarding the honey method. For me the speedy carbon cake build up is a priority over the eventual reaming disadvantage but I hear your method as well.
Excellent review Nathan a classy looking pipe. I to have a favourite pipe I’ve got 3 of them and that’s the Savinelli 673ks the shape of the bowl is perfect in the hand and they smoke so smoothly. I’m looking to get a 4th 673 and it might well be a 9mm. Happy 😊smokes Martin
A very nice pipe! I love the bent models but after seeing Rowan Atkinson in the Maigret films i started looking for some billiard shape pipes. I found a pipe from molina Italy. Wich i like. I watched one of your movies were you mention the honey. I tried this with this pipe. Breaking it in i fill it and smoke it slow
Thank you. I have heard of Molina pipes they do look nice. You are definitely breaking in your pipe correctly. Btw I am planning to record a dedicated video on my method of breaking in a new briar pipe.
Very nice pipe Nathan😁👍 i have the similar Rossi Sera 8316 and its an excellent smoking pipe. As to your question about owning multiple versions of the same pipe, i do. I really love the Savinelli 626, and own over a dozen. All different except 2 identical Trevi and Arcobalano versions. Speaking of pot shapes, I have a Savinelli Roma Lucite 622ks. And if you want a longer smoke session than the 316 gives you I _highly_ recommend the 622ks. Its a fantastic smoking pipe with a large pot shape bowl. Truly an amazing pipe. Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them very much👊😁💨💨take care out there! God bless
Thanks Jes. Interesting fact reading the comments that most who have a few of the same are all Savinelli’s😀 I wonder is it because the pipe featured in this video is a Savinelli or is it the fact that people prefer savinelli’s over other mass producing brands. Anyway regardless one fact is sure that Savinelli pipes are highly popular. Enjoy them all & have a great day.
Thanks Larry. Since you mentioned that you are considering this pipe. I must tell you they are really good in all aspects and one of my most favourite shaped Savinelli’s.
Gorgeous looking grain on your 2nd vigna 316. Frankly Nathan, both look very elegant but if i can only buy one i personally prefer the smooth the grain looks so rich. I also understand your reasoning for choosing the pot shape, for flake tobacco it is ideal. As for owning 2 of the same, i too have 2 Savinelli Lucite 673's as i love the shape & the way they smoke so you are in good company. Btw i forgot to add to my posting on yesterday's video on you vaping channel that you got me intrigued regarding you upcoming weekend video on this channel 🤔 what ever subject it is about i am looking forward. Take care & speak soon. Wanted to add that i too now use honey to break in my pipes. Works wonders with the cake build-up👍
I agree the grain is top class. I know you have the Lucite 673, when did you buy the 2nd must be a recent edition😊 as for the upcoming video you would need to wait & see but I am sure you would fully agree with the content😉
The smooth finish really does show the wood grain nicely, beautiful stem as well. I tried my sample of PS Luxury Navy Flake yesterday Nathan, excellent VaPer. Was very impressed. Went ahead and bought 24oz on smoking pipes! Will be set for a long time!
Well, Steven, if you never tried a 9m pipe you ought to give it at least once ago, you’ll be knocked for six by the smoothness of the draw and lack of heat of certain blends. Definitely worth a try.
I said in the last video great minds think alike, and here it is again. I’ve been eyeing up the sav316 vigna for some time. Can’t decide smooth of rusticated! Might have to get both! Think I’ll use it as a fruity aromatic designated pipe, the colours of it feels right for that!
Perfect Tom. Both styles are gorgeous but some think the grain on smooth finish is outstanding. If aromatics feels right for you to smoke them, then follow your gut😊
Beautiful pipe my man. I just got my first Savinelli for my 39th birthday. The 311ks Alligator poker. Its absolutely beautiful too, and smokes like a dream. Sweet smokes man 💨💨💨
Use a stem protector rubber bit, you will then discover how comfortable it is to clench. Without the rubber bit it is not as comfortable because as you rightly say the stem is on the wider side.
Good Morning 😊 Beautiful Pipes 😍 Fantastic Review👌🏽Appreciate You Showing and Sharing 👏🏼 Have a Fantastic Day & Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Thank you Yusuf. Take care
Really nice pipe. Savinelli makes great pipes and still have good quality control.
Thanks. I would say that Savinelli’s are the closest quality to artisan pipes yet mass produced for pocket friendly prices. Winning formula
@TheVapingPiper yes, let us hope that they keep this going forward. And don't go down the slippery slope of cost saving programes...
You me both🙏

Thanks Chris. It always a good feeling when I discover that I share the same enjoyment of the 316😊 Enjoy yours.
Great-looking pipes. I stuff the flake into the bowl similar to the way you do it. 💨
Thanks for your comment.

I may have to get one of those bent pots!
Highly recommended
Thanks for showing these pipes, which I have been considering. I’m glad you are enjoying them.

@@TheVapingPiper now you really got my curious, oh well will wait. Yes Nathan i added the 2nd 673 a few weeks ago

Thanks. It seems that the smooth finish is preferred by many. Enjoy the luxury navy flake you certainly stocked up nicely😀
I’m going to have to try a 9 mm. Will give me a reason to buy another pipe.
Well, Steven, if you never tried a 9m pipe you ought to give it at least once ago, you’ll be knocked for six by the smoothness of the draw and lack of heat of certain blends. Definitely worth a try.
Love the videos! & Shout out to Simon of LCS Briars. I have pipe #925 & it’s a great smoker. Can’t recommend him enough. He makes gorgeous pipes
Thank you Simian. I agree he does design gorgeous pipes. Enjoy your 925 that looks amazing
Very nice, that conical bowl no doubt helps in keeping the folded flakes/coins just above the airflow.
Well put Mark & as usual accurate😊
Nice pipes Sir.
Thank you.
I like the smooth, very nice Nathan
Thanks. It seems the smooth finish is becoming the preferred look😊

Sweet smokes man 💨💨💨
First off. Happy birthday 🎂 the 311 ks alligator Poker is indeed very beautiful. Enjoy it for many years to come😊
How does it clench? I feel that the stem is too broad
Use a stem protector rubber bit, you will then discover how comfortable it is to clench. Without the rubber bit it is not as comfortable because as you rightly say the stem is on the wider side.
The 316KS Miele. Buy one, DM me, I’ll give u my address, ship it to me. Then you will be my hero for ever. Lol
