Really, over-consumption is the biggest issue most people face. And obviously, a lot of the food we eat has chemicals, additives, and / or bioengineered components. Even the fruits and vegetables you eat and think are "healthy" fall victim to this. And you wouldn't really know unless you see with your own eyes where your food comes from and it's entire travel path from before it's grown to when it makes it in your mouth. Tldr: You're both wrong.

It's not balanced. To Americans it might seem like it but it's not. Half of it is simple carbs (sugar) + Tons of fat (olive oil/butter/cream/cheese = very caloric!!), with very little amount of veggies (not enough fiber), and even the meat is doused in fat. Half the plate should be those green veggies, then one quarter pasta and one quarter protein, then using much less fat for the sauce would be ideal for an everyday meal.
They wrote it was a better Cacio e Pepe. Cacio e Pepe is a pasta dish that also uses pasta, pecorino romano & parmesan and pepper. So really quite similar, they wrote better because they added the chicken and veg and other spices...

You can also broil the chicken for about 15 minutes before baking the meat at about 350 - 400 degrees Fahrenheit until done, instead of pan frying, to achieve the same golden color and crisp texture, without adding any oil. My mom used to make this all the time. It’s so good and not hard to make at all. If you lack ingredients, just be sure to use plenty of garlic, with black pepper and salt to taste. The garlic is key 🔑 Such a wholesome, simple dish that tastes like it takes much more effort.
