Cons of dependency on Google
Monopoly
Lack of transparency
Irrelevant updates
Destroying true business
Destroying livelihood
Destroying people's life.
I think traffic is gonna change loads over the next few weeks. So hopefully those of us who were smashed in HCU will get some sort of recovery. Ive had no penalty on any of mine either. fingers crossed matey

are loosing money every day so they do what all big companies do they cut costs. The biggest cost is staff and content creators so they cut the latter first. Which also means they will loose more traffic and as a result so they will squeeze content creators again.

What about the average position? My average position improved a lot, like jumped from 20 to 14, but impressions and clicks are down a lot.
Mine are still down. Three weeks of the rollout to go then I will look at all the data.
I don't understand why people say they will rely from now on on Bing, RUclips, Pinterest, Facebook and Tik Tok. They are the same as Google. They can also destroy a website or a profile from the click of a button.
I don’t think they are as volatile as Google. That’s why most try it and it’s a quicker ROI

I got hit as well by the update and like you im not going to touch anything unless the website recover a bit on his own.
My site its entirely ai content. So lets see if when the google rollout its finished

You can still create content. Maybe just in another format or for a different audience?
That's what I'm doing, all my websites went to sh/$@...except my biggest website which is about drawings, but with this madness, I wake up every day with fear and I joined this business to precisely not feel like that, I'm working on my RUclips channel and also Pinterest, but I need at least two years to see results from those projects...@@CarlBroadbent
The new core update has ruined the traffic but I'm sure the traffic is gonna pick up back on track soon. So don't panic chaps!

Same drop in traffic here. Cut approx. 50% of whatever was left after the last update. At this point, it's just laughable. I never used AI never did Black Hat or even Grey Hat, no aggressive link building. Plus: the articles outperforming me are not(!) more helpful. So, I'll leave it at that and try to get a 2nd site started.

Amazing, same thing happening to my site 2023 HCU smashed more than 90% of my traffic and now exactly same thing happened to me traffic again down but today i saw small recovery,

Carl your travel website writers uses Grammerly or similar tools? As a non native English speaker I heavily use Grammerly premium. Specially rewrite sentence and clarity features.
Because my all the Grammerly used sites are hit this update, but two website not hit. These two sites articles are not checked with Grammerly. All of my sites articles are written by my self.
When I check that Grammerly corrected articles with ai detection tools, those tools identify my articles are generated by AI.
That’s interesting. I use it but I’m not sure if my writers did.

@@CarlBroadbent It is not as bad as other people experienced. Flatliners and such. Mine lost about 50 points and gained some backlinks. DR remained the same. I even had two decent sales and some commission. I think things will recover. We need to work on directory sites, service oriented sites... branded stuff and sell our own products.
