Love this longer format. Keep pivoting into this avenue. Love hearing perspectives from existing sales professionals and where you see the market going. I'm in a bootcamp but looking at to keeping up with new industry standards as a totally agree with you. What might get you in today, will more than likely not keep you in, let alone on top of the game.
Love your content, it’s been helpful as I explore the possibilities of joining tech sales. I notice a lot of it is focused at starting as an SDR with no sales experience. I’ve worked 20 years in sales in Auto and Solar and wanted to ask if it would be possible to break into Tech Sales with an AE role?
It can be possible, especially when the market is a bit better, however some companies will require that you start as an SDR. That being said with your experience you could likely command a 100k+ starting total salary. Have you applied to both positions? I would honestly send some feelers out for both SDR and AE roles and see if any consider you for AE.
I haven’t started applying yet just because I’m still debating between Tech Sales or becoming a Realtor. But I guess it couldn’t hurt to put some feelers out there and see what happens. Thanks for the info!

I've been looking for someone to speak to what is going on in 2024 in sales. Thank you!
Question, for someone who is a Strategic Account Manager what type of tools should I be utilizing? Thank you.

Glad you got a lot out of it!
This video gave me so much more perspective - thank you both

@@GurpreetKandola-c6c tech sales brother. Realtor is something you can do on the side.
Is it fine to go into debt for a college degree to land a good job? I really wanna go to college, will I make enough to pay of the debt
It is definitely still a valid path but to an extent I'd recommend you minimize debt. What do you plan on studying?
@@techsales-higherlevels not sure yet, looking into possibly marketing. Is there tech sales internships?
