I gave up on SEO over 10 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I went full on into paid marketing, mastered it by focusing on my email list and my business is more secure than ever. I still use my blog as a branding tool. I put all my content there, drive my subscribers to it providing value and it always drives sales. Google, RUclips, Facebook, and pretty much every major site wants you to pay for exposure. I just decided to play their game and its worked well for me. This video couldn't have come at a better time. I'm at a point in my life where I no longer enjoy working as a content writer since most of the topics I'm tasked to write are covered by dozens of other websites or blogs. There's literally zero value in the content we're publishing and I don't feel motivated to do this anymore. With that said, I'm glad I've had the opportunity to work as a content creator because it has taught me how to enjoy writing.
The silver lining of all this loss is that it will no longer be as common to pump out this crappy content because there’s not enough money in it anymore. My hope is that this, together with the A.I.-driven pivot from production to curation, will return us to the creation of valuable, original content!
When I found you on YT 5 years ago, I had 1500 email subscribers. Today I have 24K. None of Google's updates have affected my traffic for more than a couple of days. Do you think it is worth to start a blog right now, especially niche site, as many keywords are owner by Reddit and Quora and Google remove niche sites from SERPs?
I wouldn't say my site is perfect, but I've seen several incredibly high-quality sites in my niche (travel) with not just original photos, but gorgeous ones, in addition to professional layout and design and well-written content tanked by these updates. That's what really makes me lose faith in all of this. There are 10 bad sites for every one good one, so just by those stats alone most of the websites penalized by these algorithmic updates will look justified, but if the high-quality sites are also getting killed, what are we working towards?

I am getting good results from ads but it is tough to convert the leads...If you have any course you recommend, I'd love to use your link. Thanks!
We keep it very simple these days... focusing on great copy and letting FBs AI do the targeting. our approach is here: www.milesbeckler.com/pages/profitable-facebook-ads/
@@MilesB Great, thank you miles!
Hello Miles, does this still mean that we should keep writing SEO content on our blog or should we focus more on grinding email marketing?
Do you think it is worth to start a blog right now, especially niche site, as many keywords are owner by Reddit and Quora and Google remove niche sites from SERPs?
If you love writing and want to help people with great written content, yes. But you'll have to drive traffic on your own.
LOVED everything you said in this video. You are so articulate. This made me feel so much better!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm working towards growing my list and building a business that doesn't rely on Google
I just love listening to you, Miles. Your voice tone alone is inspiring.
Cheers
Thanks for motivation this morning. I needed this to keep going.
You got this!
Thanks Miles. 🙏 Having a business is like skiing sometimes. We all fall down, but have to get up and keep going while letting our passions lead the way. 💛❤✨ Appreciate you helping us in so many ways. 🙏
💯
My site has lost 90% of its users.
Seems to be the trend. Hope you didn't need it for Lambo payments
Keep Keeping it Real Miles. I appreciate you. You changed my life.
I appreciate that. Loved seeing how well you ranked for ALL of these keywords. You're setting a high bar for quantity and quality! Keep up the great work!
It was honest, open, frank and strong. As befits a strong personality. A declaration of determination and courage to tell THEM to their faces on their territory what you really think of THEM.
Bravo, Miles!
Cheers Victor
Boom what a great message Miles! Thank you for your service brother.
My pleasure
You’re the best Miles, this was very encouraging
Cheers Beth!
So what would an email list like water damage repair do? No body is excited to read emails weekly about water damage repair offers.
Just run PPC Google ads.
the problem with email is most people use Google Gmail. Which means they control the newsletters
Thanks Miles for this lesson. Just keep going.
💯
Im so glad I found your channel 💖
Welcome to the party! 🎉
I am kind of noob for not knowing man terms, can some one tell me what is media buyer???

I have two wesbites doing affiliate and I got very bad traffic drop, sucks
Excellent. ❤
Thanks!
Very inspiring. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Whether it's blog, laundromat or whatever, operating your business on rented property, will ultimately bite you in the ass long term. Start on someone else's place, but own your property asap, be it platform or real estate.
Great analogy
@@MilesB Yes, real life experience analogy.
So when u had made my mind to start a blog , blogging is no more interesting ?
Super helpful.
I appreciate that
Is it possible to still blog while disregarding the SEO games that weren't even part of the industry at large until maybe ten years ago?
Of course. Bloggong = publishing! Would you expect traffic from Google?
@@MilesBFigured I'd at least ask. Back in the day, we never even had to contend with the artificial complexity of search engine optimization. It's better to just get the word out and be intimate with people. Thanks for replying!
Thanks to NSL who introduced me to your channel through her email 🙌
Agree. She's awesome
couldnt agree more! take care miles❤
Cheers doc
Awesome! Thank you ❤
You're welcome
First time listener, have you considered a side gig as an inspirational speaker? I feel that I can pop this into my phone and go run 5 miles - I am that pumped! I have put my "big girl pants" on and am more ready than ever to push through with whatever Google throws me. I have had my share of being slapped around, your pep talk validates everything I have gone through. Solidarity!
I am glad you found this one and thank you for your kind words!
Thanks!
You bet!
Good post Miles
Thank you
Listening to the master. ❤ great video. Google has always been combating spam, and A.I. generated content is just the latest version of it. Thanks for this, got to know you a whole lot more.
Glad you liked it
Hey , I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging videos thumbnails and Video SEO which will help your video to reach to a wider audience and increase your subscribers and viewers.
your thumbnails is good and content quality also good but you need SEO Optimization
Nah. 1 take all the way. No edits needed
The SERPs are a complete disaster , I cant believe what a terrible job they have done dealing with AI.
I don't agree that they don't know what there doing , I think they've made the decision to weed out the ai by just sending traffic to themselves and friends
This one hit me like a baseball bat across the eye's! Thanks Miles!
Hopefully it was a foam wiffle ball bat
@@MilesB It was a foam bat that said hurry up and copy write. Also picked up the funnel templates. Thanks!
Next, we need to find out how to craft that best offer. Thanks so much.
Tons of videos on my channel to help there! This playlist has several ruclips.net/p/PL0sOKzn__yK2FsageKLMTZA5dX__JmcIn&feature=shared
Dope
💪
Amen
🙌
"Big Boy Pants" 🤣
Ya, that came out and I was like wtf did I just say? But can't stop on a 1 take vid 🤣
😅
@@MilesB great video though
All the SEO people being mad in the comments 😂 It's your own fault and you should've diversified earlier. Facebook was booming 5 years ago and no one bat an eye, also paid media/content arbitrage was skyrocketing (100%+ ROI all day). Now you would be happy to have 10-20% margins. SEO people have finally seen the Light of diversification, but 5 years too late
💯
Too much fluff
🤣
i think you are wrong their is still lots of engineers who worked first in google just check who is leading search.
And I quote "Venkatachary will lead the Google Search quality and ranking teams, taking over Nayak’s role. Venkatachary originally worked at Google from May 2013 to December 2014, then left for a company that was acquired by Apple. He returned to Google in October 2022."
About 2 yrs experience.
doesn't matter if miles was right or wrong. the fact is google search is shat
I'm in a depression because of google
Time to shift
I am too. And I’m a mom 😢
Miles backler i follow you by inspire you, but it's too much for me erritating by your marketing emails 😔🥺 I'm frustrated now
