    I love you watching two!
I'm an old (72!) Southern American woman living in the mountains of North Carolina who loves James Taylor.
James Taylor wasn't born in NC, but he grew up here. He's a great singer & songwriter; his first hit, "Fire and Rain," was in 1970; in 1971, "You've Got a Friend," with Carol King made it to No. 1 song in the country.
Carol King's 1st album was "Tapestry." Her songs, "So Far Away," and "It's Too Late," are both on "Tapestry."
I think you'd really enjoy hearing more from them.

Not sure if you guys knew, but Mark celebrated his 75th birthday earlier this week 🥰 glad to see you react to another one of his gems. I heard this song during the first MK concert I attended in 2010, fell in love with it ever since. It's been a staple in his live shows for the past 20 years, and like with many other songs, it's even better when performed live 🙂 wish you all the best, and many more MK/DS songs 😊

Thank you for your lovely reaction. Such an incredible storytelling song about the two surveyors, Mason and Dixon. Mark said James has a dreamy kind of quality to his voice that he thought would work well singing the part of Mason, who was an astronomer. The instrumentals and Mark's guitar tone really take you away.

Richard Bennett's wonderful light touch on the rhythm guitar shouldn't be overlooked either. He's someone you don't always notice on Mark's songs but you'd definitely miss if he wasn't there. I don't think I've ever seen a guitarist who caresses the strings the way he does. He barely seems to touch them.

This is a great album from Mark with great storytelling throughout, one I love in particular is " Prairie Wedding," which tells the story of the loss of eligible men on the east coast ( New York and so on ) to the Californian gold rush ,and as a consequence the men in the gold fields found of course no woman so the invention of the "mail order bride " . Great, song.

Dennis Locorriere is the singer with the long beard mustache, George Cummings is the lead guitarist with the bass voice (also founded and came up with the name of the group), Ray Sawyer is the singer with the eye patch.
