This is one of my favorite songs from Mark's solo career. And love this version particularly. It translates all the dreams and open possibilities of youth. The all concert is amazing.
    Thanks for it.
PS: Mark does uses a plectrum (pick) now and then. This is one of these songs (some others are So Far Away, but not always, I'm The Fool, Twisting By The Pool, or Expresso Love, just to mention a few). But although he is not using his fingers, you can still recognize him as soon as he starts to play! :)

    Welcome to 'heaven'. Musically.
Real musicians, playing real instruments, with real class! The relaxed feel to this song is helped by Mark's guitar being tuned a whole step down - dropped D tuning. 'The twang is the thang'! Mark's songs often feature instrument choice and style that enhances the song's theme, or subject matter.
For more of Mark's craftsmanship in similar feel-good tunes, try:
    "Are we in trouble now?"
    "Silver Eagle"
    "Wherever I go"
    "True love will never fade"
    "Lights of Taormina"
    "My heart has never changed"
    "Get lucky"
    "In the sky"
    "Long cool girl"
    etc etc etc
    Get the idea?
    Love you two!

In this song, Mark is playing with a pick...not his fingers...using the whammy bar so beautiful. Mark is playing like his big idol, Hank B. Marvin.......Hanks famous sound with the echo, delay and whammybar on his red 59 Strat ....EPIC!

Mark is phenomenal and I really like how he shares the stage and lets all the musicians shine. Such a beautiful melody and touching lyrics. Thank you Andrei and Dominika

Emmy Lou Harris was at the top of the country/Americana genre in late 70’s……beautiful lady with hair down to her waist and a lovely voice. She is still with us at 76.

I never paid attention to Dire Straits, but when Knopfler went solo and I heard the wonderful songs he was writing, I was smitten. Just today I was listening to a CD of his group The Notting Hillbillies "Missing: Presumed Having a Good Time." Such QUALITY. Your Own Sweet Way is wonderful, if you haven't heard it yet, you should! As for Emmylou Harris, I've followed her since the mid 70's. I was never a fan of country rock, but she pulled me in every time. Her album with Linda Ronstadt and Dolly Parton, Trio, is wonderful. And of course, Harris was featured in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou in several songs, but especially "Didn't Leave Nobody But the Baby." If you haven't heard that last, please react to it! So, thank you for this, I really appreciated it!

Thie beginning of this reaction is funny. In the US we generally use the silent "K" for the excellent musician/guitarist. Emmylou ? : older, white haired but still beautiful and she still sounds great. She can sing on her own; she can blend with Dylan, Dolly Parton, whomever. it doesn't matter. I hadn't seen this before. Thanks.

Grammatically correct English pronunciation (and the way Mark introduces himself), or the way words are pronounced in other languages - Hungarian, Hebrew, Russian, Arabian or Ingenious Australian?

In English, a k before a consonant is always silent! As in “know”, “knowledge”, Knight” ( silent g and h as well) or knot. As I’ve a,ways heard it, it’s pronounced Nofler…..with the “o” pronounced as in “not”. The “p” is also silent.
