Battery life may not be a problem with lollipop 5.0.1...The os does a great job at utilizing RAM and has actually added almost a third more juice to my note 4 since having made the update.
To the people that are saying "You don't need external storage": My music library is 46GB. I use a 64GB MicroSD to carry it all. A big part of my phone is my music. Being limited to the internal storage is a very big problem. Now if I want all of my music locally on my phone, I need at get the 64GB model or higher -(If that'll exist)-. This is a problem-- maybe not for you, but it is for me. I hope this doesn't become a thing for future Samsung phones. EDIT: Maybe I should just put this up here since this comment is blowing up for some reason. I didn't write this as if I have no choice but to get Samsung. A lot of you are responding as if I don't know there are other brands out there. I have the Xperia Z3-- I'm just speaking generally for Samsung's decision in design. And to add, it may be a specific problem I'm having, but just because _you_ don't need external storage doesn't mean the rest of the consumers don't either. I benefit from external storage for many more reasons than just my music. It's a great feature to lose, and that shouldn't be hard to understand. After 150+ replies it seems that it is.
Samsung just killed their entire Android user base. no expandable storage, no removing the battery (if your phone dies now you have to charge it instead of swapping out a backup battery) and cut down touchwiz by "40%" yeah after months down the road with installs and updates that "40%" is going to non-existence (get rid of it! no-one likes it).
***** Yeah, but this is almost exactly like the iPhone. Don't get me wrong, I hate Apple and 90% of their products, but this is exactly going towards that direction.
I bet you they copying Apple! I wish people would stop copying them! Stupid white headphones and stuck batteries and not SD slots! All in the name of being pretty!
***** since when did anyone eye balls convert to Quad HD? Can you explain that to me buddy lol. The point that I'm trying to make here is that QHD is not needed at the moment. 1080 is just fine. QHD is just simply going to consume your battery life and it doesn't matter how big the capacity is. Until Samsung can execute battery life alone with QHD efficiently
I was just pointing out the differences in screen resolution, not saying QHD is better, it just needs a larger battery to compensate for the extra pixels.
***** DreamFOX Dral B The Galaxy S6's screen is more efficient compared the S5's. Just like how the Note 4 and Note 3 have very similar battery sizes but the Note 4 lasts longer. 1. Amount of pixels do not matter and HTC is notorious for their terrible low light performance. 2. I agree. 3. The Exynos is way better than Snapdragon in gaming at the very least. Besides, with Samsung's own processors, it would make Touchwiz more fluent. 4. I'd rather use headphones or those big computer speakers for music. Although it is nice to have. 5. Samsung Pay is accepted in 90%+ in US stores and more that supports credit and debit cards. And it's very secure. 6. You can charge the Galaxy s6 for 10 minutes with their charger and get 4 hours of battery life. 7. Fingerprint sensor is now touch and hold. 8. Camera is easily accessible. 9. Touchwiz is much smoother
***** ..Sir, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Out of all the tech channels out there (the couple hundred or so I have watched), you are by far, head and shoulders ahead of them. Your professionalism, attention to details and love for what you do is unmatched! So, I salute you sir, and look forward to the many more videos ahead!!
Obviously but the point I'm trying to make is that Samsung took 1 step forward and 2 steps back with this phone. It's a great phone though don't get me wrong
Ryan Boller How is that insulting? Apple Looked to Sony for iPhone Design Inspiration www.pcworld.com/article/259842/apple_looked_to_sony_for_iphone_design_inspiration_court_documents_show.html
These devices are absolutely stunning, with features that are truly matured. I've had the Samsung logo on my displays at home for years... and now they belong on this phone. This is proper Samsung.
I think I'll keep my Samsung Galaxy s5. To me, Samsung took a lot of steps back than forward. They got rid of the removable back cover, now you can't replace the battery, no SD card expansion, the bottom looks A LOT like a IPhone 6, the back of the phone looks ugly (IMO). No more USB 3.0 charging or data speeds, no more IP67 certification therefore it's not water proof anymore. I don't think it's worth my money to spend over $500 on a "flagship" that has LESS features than the previous one. I'm going to wait until HTC One M9 releases. I think I'm going to get that phone. Sorry Samsung but you fucked up
Haha.... Real bad, they're going to lose a lot of customers... Mainly because of the non-removable battery, not enough battery capacity and no freaking SD slot. I've been a Samsung fan for years. Now I have to admit that they f*cked up too. That's the result when you copy other companies lol. The road that Samsung is heading down is quite sad.
Dral B IKR, the thing that Samsung constantly brags about in thier phones was the removable battery. Now what are they supposed to brag about? More metal? Companies like Apple, HTC and Sony already have metal on thier phones so it's not a big story.
Time For Some Logic exactly bro, and to make it worst they made the freaking back of the phone glass. I don't know what the hell they were thinking. They basically made it more fragile. The buyers better place a protective case on that skeleton or else it's a wrap with one drop. The only minor improvement they made is that they placed the headphone jack at the bottom finally, which is where I prefer it. But they could have done that on the Note series a long time ago. Such a bummer. Whoever already have an S5 doesn't even need to upgrade. It seems like Samsung is just putting out anything for money at this point and not taking their time to really be innovative. I feel sorry for Samsung if they don't change the way they think and actually listen to the consumers.
People think everyone NEEDS removable battery and expendable storage. Most of the people don't care about those things, they'd rather have unibody slim phone, good looking than big battery 12903612 GB of external storage and whatnot. Yes, some of us needs those things but most do not, obviously, and ALL the companies that did research realized this and they follow what people need. Just because that 1% of customers with needs of all those things is louder and cry all over the internet it seems to be the problem, but it's not. Almost no one gives a damn about exchangeable battery or 1908346 mAh battery, they take charger to the work, they have one at home, everyone around has charger too, what's the big deal? Not everyone goes for camping in the woods for 3 days and needs a fucking 128036 mAh battery to watch porn on his smartphone there or something. And battery WILL last for at least 2 years when 99% of people get's new phone with contract or without, so no one cares.
People are accustomed to certain things from brands which they rely on... for example if you love Toyotas which are known for the best safety due to side curtain air bags lets say, and then Toyota goes and removes them. This causes die hard fans of Toyota to lose its popularity because they removed something that Toyota was known for....Side curtain airbags.
Tor Guy Yeah, Samsung will lose 1% of fans with extreme needs of a lot of memory and for some mysterious reason have something against charging a phone often (if you are at home or work, why not charge it?). So Samsung will lose 1% of fans and gain at least 20 times as much fans of Apple for example, that go for slim clean design and light weight. It's simple math and Samsung market research team knows that very well, as almost all the other companies do. Don't get me wrong, I'd always go for uglier fat phone with as big battery as possible and wouldn't accept anything under 64 GB with Micro SD as a BIG plus. But we are 1% and they want money, not some loyal small fanbase.
You're probably right... I mean look at iPhone sales. I'm sure it'll probably appeal to the mind-numbingly retarded masses who say "ooh pretty!". But I know a lot of people who would instantly class this as a fail because of these things. Removable battery is essential for me for weekend trips or when I'm working all day then go our at night, and to keep the phone going strong after the battery fails. Microsd to store all my Audiobooks and music without problems, and to easily move to another phone if it needs to be sent back for warranty. And plastic is lighter than glass.
Petar Stankovic I'm not so bothered by the lack of removable battery or storage but I really hope the battery lasts a while since if you're travelling with the device you can't always find somewhere to charge it and needing to bring a battery bank is not as convenient as not needing to of course.
I agree to some point (I myself wouldn't buy a phone like this or without micro sd slot, because I always have at least 60 GB of music on board) but MOST people choose thin phone over that. Samsung did their research and chose to make this, for a reason. I mean it's not like they were thinking: "Hey everyone wants fat phones with big battery and no one cares for thinness, let's make sales worse and rip them off, and yeah, let's prevent people from changing battery because it will make out sales worse!" No they calculated what to make based on very thorough market research and they strive to make most sales, and to hit on Apple that have decent share and with this new style S6 is hitting exactly on them. Stephen De Tomasi I agree, I'm like that... first I'd never buy a phone with this ugly UI (touchwiz) because I'd lost warranty by rooting it and I don't trust their hardware enough to root, secondly battery is important to me also because I used to use smartphone as a main music player on the go, so expendable memory follows my requirements. But those people aren't stupid, that like Apple for example, (or similarly designed gear like this new S6), for example my aunt, can't say where she works but she has 10k $ a month, IQ 134 phd and she simply doesn't give a FUCK about battery or something, she just wants THIN and light phone with as good as possible camera so she doesn't need to carry extra camera when she travels. So people doesn't have to be stupid to buy something cos of looks, they just don't NEED and don't CARE about all the things we do. Again, I think Samsung did great with this phone, tho I'd skip it as well.
I have held on to my s3 for a long while now. And have been seriously waiting for a better smartphone than the previous galaxy family, this is it. I'm definitely goona buy this one. Thank you samsung finally
for me Samsung missed out on the things that made some people want to buy their phone instead of an iPhone, like an removable back and SD card slot... not buying this one....
S6 blue, (s6 edge is that's available) And yes I already put out a comment but I just saw your s6 impressions and that quad HD oled made me change my mind, always been an HTC fan but I think its time for a change... Love your channel, keep it up
If you really pay attention to the phone you can watch the battery draining as he's just opening apps and playing with it, nothing serious.. In about 25 minutes of playing with the phone it died about 10% lol. Uhh is that good?
Well 10% at 25 minutes averages to 250 minutes (~4 hours) screen-on time if you use it straight. Normally, that's not considered good for a flagship. But...I'm guessing the screen brightness is probably set to max for this video, in which case that is very good SOT. And Samsung has very good standby time in the S5 and Note 4, so the S6 will probably perform well in the battery department.
Why is that? Its out of the M9 or that. I'm using the Nexus 6 on C12. I would like to get a good phone that, I wouldn't have to root to make things better.
derrick jones QHD with 2500 mAh...it won't last more than 3 hours. My g3 with a 3000 mAh can't last more than 5 hours screen on time with the battery saver turned on at 4:30 hours screen on time.QHD look amazing and the phone feels very snappy but I don't think it will last more than 3 hours.
***** Mate, engineers or no, 2500 mah is still 2500 mah and QHD is still QHD. You can't magically change that. QHD slurps battery life and slows down the phone.
after hearing that the s6 wouldn't have expandable storage i was a bit unsure about this phone but I think this is a push to get people to start storing things into the cloud.
Well i think that the ability to expand memory is a great thing. For example if you have a project, and you want to share it with someone else but the file is 10gb and it would take way too long to share through google drive, then a hard copy on a micro sd card would be shared very easily. See, you have to be able to think outside the box Shroom Master you have a closed mind and your grammar is terrible.
There is a good reason for this though. Think about it. With a smaller batter, you can get to charge it up more. The bigger batteries take so much charge that you only get to charge it once a day. Also the big batteries take hours to charge up.
Carlyle's Tech Reviews What? The bigger batteries may take longer to charge, but they really only need to be charged once a day. There should be a balance that's convienet to the user. A good example is the Oneplus One or Droid turbo. You really only have to charge it over night, then your set for the day.
I like the looks and the design of the S6, but like apples i phones, I am not into the metallic looks or the lack of swappable battery's, and SD cards for expansion of storage in the phones I have owned, like the S3&S4 from Samsung, so as my last android phone was the nexus5, and both of my tablet's are nexus7 2013 LTE models, I bought the LGG3 a few months ago and if I am going to sell it like I do when I buy new phone, I sell the phones I buy cheap to my family members, I am going to wait until the new G4 is reviewed in video, to see if I will buy it, as I am not into Pre- installed apps on phones, unless it's a Nexus or the new moto X 2014,pure edition 32 or 64 GB phone, as all the phones I buy are unlocked sim free phones!
iPhone has a protruding camera: OMFG WHY WOULD THEY RUIN OUR LIIIIVEES *immense amount of bitching* Android phone with protruding camera: It's revolutionary
ZazuradiaTube Not half, they have removed all the good stuff people loved. I'm actually shocked. Problem is, iPhone people wont leave Apple no matter what dross they produce, the bad thing for Samsung, and what they maybe don't realise, is that people will have no issues switching to another android device.
Actually, every time I get a new phone (which isn't very often) I weigh the pros and cons of switching to the other operating system. Apple has things such as iTunes and great connectivity between devices, but Samsung has things like this phone, where they did everything right. So if I don't like the newest iPhone or android devices, then I switch over
1301407gl The thing is the most people are still people who dont know anything about smartphones and just buy whatever other people who also dont know anything tell them. So this is more a thing of not knowing that there are better alternatives rather than really liking it, in my opinion. The average person just differentiates between Iphone and not Iphone...
edwin gonzalez Yeah you right but for samsung to obviously combine both designs isn't good for samsung. I'm not a big samsung fan but I was hoping they did something new with the s6.
Let's take a moment to clarify a few irrelevancies; 1. It's not waterproof - Who cares? Most smart consumers are going to put it in a case anyway. 2. The back is a fingerprint magnet - In a case, don't care. 4. Protruding camera - If this is a con for you, please just go..... 3. You can't remove the battery - It's 2015...buy a power brick that can supply double the power, for a fraction of the price. 4. No expandable memory - The cheapest model comes with 32GB! 97% of you will never fill more than half of that and the other 3% that do should probably stop downloading porn onto your phone. 5. It looks like an iPhone - Very perceptive of you. Take a moment to pat yourself on the back for noticing. Now, tell me why that matters? A vast majority of the world loves the iphones "look". How do you think Apple makes money in the first place? I myself (being a Samsung fanboy) even like the way iphones and Mac's "look" but I'm not paying top dollar to a company that will "purposely" leave features out of something only to make a "new" version with my missing features every. Truth is most of us want an Apple "look" with Samsung "quality". Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, I just hope that a little more integrity can be utilized before casting judgement. Side note; I'm not sure if I will be upgrading my phone to the S6. My S3 still works perfectly.
Azir I hate that you have to make up excuses for issues that many people can run into. You may think it not being water proof isn't an issue, but someone else might.
Brad'sGamingPlace They aren't excuses buddy. It's how I feel. Obviously others wont feel the same. Duh. That's perfectly acceptable. Simply telling it like I see it.
Man, I remember going to local Best Buy and holding the first Galaxy S in my hands, it was like a miracle. When S2 came out, a couple of my friends had to fly out to a bigger city to buy on the first day and I remember drooling over the touchwiz and all the cool features that came with it. It was also so thin and good to hold in hands. Never been an iPhone guy because it's always been considered for super-high class which I wasn't. Nowadays I can't even keep track of which model is which, feels like they just change the design(yea, right) and release the exact same phone every year with little hardware tweaks. Sure, that's kind of what they are supposed to do, but the whole feeling of evolution is gone. The S6 Edge though, I like a lot more, still a waste, my Note 2 works more than fine.
Now i use to be an apple fanboy i owned every apple device but now i dont like apple phones from the iphone5c to iphone6 and 6plus most shitiest phone that just came out it bends and nothing really new other than small stuff like the processor and bigger design etc but on the other hand this galaxy6 is way superior than the iphone 6 so unless your a apple fanboy like i use to look at the specs of both phones and tell me what else they copied ,im pretty surw an iphone 6 dosent have an edged screen
I think the sides and the new back make them really similar! Especially the bottom! It's a good thing though! Apple do have great designs! But now it's an Android! :)
Yea and slow just can't decide what phone to get I was waiting for this but not now. There phones used to be different now they're trying to get other brand fans to buy there shit
FAQ for all the idiots out there: 1. Samsung copied Apple iPhone 6 design? No, look at Samsung's own Ativ S from 2012. Headphone jack on bottom? HTC had that, along with unibody aluminum with antenna lines. 2. Samsung copied IPhone 4's glass back? iPhone and s6 weren't the only phones with glass backs. Ex: Nexus 4, but no one cried about that. Also, the glass is used on the s6 to cover the material that provides dual tone colors. 3. No REMOVEABLE battery and micro SD card slot?? Sacrifices were made to bring a more "premium" feeling phone. They've listened. Not everyone can get what they want. 4. Touch ID copy and Samsung Pay?? First off, improving a fingerprint scanner does not mean copying. The setup however, is similar, and so is the Samsung Pay name. This was most likely done to mock and attack Apple, which they often enjoy doing and it also increases publicity. On a side note, Samsung Pay offers MST, which changes the game. 5. Samsung copied because the company is failing? No, Samsung is a huge company with advanced chip tech(10nm Finfet). They also create cars, laptops, appliances, headphones, smart watches, memory/storage(SSD's), screens, TVs, cameras, speakers, tablets, printers, vacuums, the list goes on forever. 6. But Apple never copies others? They do. Phablets sizes, one-handed mode(Note 3 & 4),NFC, unibody aluminum design, widgets, 3rd party keyboards, QuickType(text prediction), AppStore video previews, iOS 7 gestures(from blackberry), control center(settings panel), background tasking, live wallpaper, multi-user, "Hey Siri"(OK Google), notification actions, and so on. Now I can go on all day. But in the end, they're just phones. Stop being idiots. They want to make phones that are improved with more features that the consumers want.

Yea, Samsung might lose a chunk of their fans by not having removable SD card and battery. Plus seeing all the cracked and shattered iphones out there, I will never buy anything with a class back. Speaking of iPhone, hey fan boys, I thought 4" screens were the perfect size, looks like Apple took notes from Samsung, eh?
They weren't really copying Samsung, they were doing what every other phone company was doing. And by the way I don't understand why you judge other people choices on phones. Would you do the same with someone's car choice or clothing preferences?
Bobschannel Where did I "judge other people choices on phones"? Steve himself said that 3.5" was the perfect size and the fan boys used that for years and said the screen size like the Note was "Way too big for use", until the iPhone 6 and 6 plus came out. There's a word for that.
You may have noticed the battery percentage drop from 94 to 93 ''in real time''. Yes, the screen and processor technology is optimised, but still, that's a ton of pixels to throw around. I still think 1080p is plenty enough. I mean, you can't tell the difference between 1080p & QHD unless you either look close with a magnifying glass or have eagle vision.

MrJaryd2000 - Minecraft Trolling, Minecraft Funny Moments, Real Life Trolling, and More! I think his point is everyone was bitching about the plastic they took it out and now everyone is bitching about metal well at least the vocal minority is.
I think iPads are a very nice group of tablets! But iPhones are not that great, you can barely use any desktop websites, and they are way too expensive, no extendable storage, and a lot of people say you don't need extendable memory, but Apple can't compress media files AT ALL and its on purpose too!
OMGGGGGG MANY WAYS???? you people are idiots !! The only thing that looks like an iphone is the bottom what else??? Is the 1440p display?... Or the 3 gigs of ram?? It must be the 16meg camera... Freaking apple fanboy haters
I've been a fan of Samsung for years, my first smartphone was from the Galaxy line, the S3. The new developments kind of disappoint me, up until this I didn't know the extent of the actual outcry of people asking for that more "premium" feel. I always saw the premium being the removable back that allowed for a replaceable battery and expandable storage. In fact the main reason I kept with the Galaxy line was knowing I could buy the phone with the lowest amount of storage and expand upon it myself, and that when the battery went bad I could just buy a new battery instead of replacing the phone. And seeing the iPhone-like style also stunned me, I can't help but think that Apple's waiting in the shadows waiting for a chance to sue Samsung again. I currently own a Note 4 that I absolutely love, the metal edges that give it that "premium" feel that I couldn't care less about, but retaining the plastic back that immediately allowed me to expand the storage and gives me the comfort of knowing that I can replace the battery when the time comes. Hopefully this current style of the S6 doesn't transfer over the the Note 5 or 6.
Feel both before you buy. The other thing ( might be small ) is the ear phones that now comes with the S6/S6 Edge doesnt have the same great quilty as the previous S3,4, and 5 models. Reseambles the Iphone ear phones and are siver tips instead of gold. OH! and there is plastic covering the camera and flash you probably wont tell because the photos look amazing!
Samsung phones.. there are good just for the couple of months or at least a year or more before getting stutter and being obsolete... my two cents for owning them since the first galaxy S... cheers... Btw... you've covered almost everything in this short review .. keep it up bro !
Why so many people complaining? No SD card slot. Isnt the 64 or 128 gb versions enough? And finally they changed from plastic. The glass back is pretty nice. And well, the non remoavable battery is pretty much the only thing I would mine.
I got the S6 Saturday. I like it. Did not thrilled about the non moveable battery. But it seems to stay charged a long time. I charged it last night at about 8pm an this morning at 7am it was still 97% . I did not put it on the charger till about 1pm.
Definitely holding out to see what the Note 5 has to offer. I have the Note 3 and I love it. I'm tempted to get the Note 4 but I'll kick myself if the Note 5 is even better. Praying the Note 5 has removal battery & sd storage. I'd love to see forward facing speakers like the M9.
How can you say that this phone is smooth? Start watching from 3:35 min on and look how sluggish and laggy the transitions are. That´s basically lag and not smooth at all. They cut down 40% of Touchwiz Software but it´s till lagging. Great Job 'Samesung'
After all you've said over the years about "premium design" I thought you would love this device, and rave about the feel! (I've always disagreed, preferring the superior function of lightweight, flexible plastic over metal and glass.)
From a design perspective, I totally agree with the protruding camera point you made there MKB, somehow even though the protruding camera on the iphone 6 is smaller, it just looks and feels annoying, plus it's tucked in a corner and just doesn't feel right. At least samsung isn't ashamed of the protruding lens, plus it's located in the middle, giving a more symmetrical look (apart from the flash). I really like the glassy back and how they ditched the plastic case from before. And a minimum of 32 compared to the iphone's 16gb is the way to go. This is definitely the first samsung galaxy i'll get after having used an iphone for almost 4 years
Honestly the Galaxy S6 looks like a budget Samsung phone, like the Ace, and the Trend. The Note will be winning my vote this year. But in cases of the S6 models in black - oh my god I'd be buying that instantly.
My S4 constantly overheats while charging + navigating + streaming music (from the cloud to Bluetooth). And if it's sunny out, forget about it. I'd love to see this addressed in your full review, especially as one of the reasons it seems like Samsung with with their own chip was due to the overheating issues f the 810.
The Galaxy Fit edition will come with an UV light which you can use for tanning or inspecting hotel bed sheets for stains. It can purify your hands or other objects and also you could detect uv marks on bills ... There are so many applications Samsung! Do it!
I have a galaxy s5 and I am very very happy with it coming from an iPhone 5 to a galaxy s5 was a huge upgrade just having to use my phone accidently dropping in water it really helped that my phone was waterproof and my battery lasts me days even with heavy use so knowing that the battery is smaller and that the battery charger got smaller just like the iPhone makes me not want to buy the new s6.
Marques - Another great video - Thanks! When you do the full review, can you please spend some time on the slow motion feature of the camera? I am hoping the S6/6E has BETTER slow mo than the iPhone 6/6P. Specifically, I hope the S6/6Eslows down the audio with the video. And I hope the S6/6E allow for multiple intro and outro points in a single video. Thanks.
camera camera camera, that´s what I want you to test. The video quality, low light perf. response times. Also thin skins and maybe protective glass and films? Thanks for being a joy to watch :)
I'm surprised there was no mention of the no-longer removable battery, or the lack of an SD card slot, or the removal of the waterproofing ... Wasn't this the kinda stuff that Samsung lovers used to rant and rave about?
Samsung and smooth in the same sentence finally! This may just be my new phone come December or an edge if i can find it on discount, assuming nothing i like better or costs less comes before then :). Bummed about micro SD slot though.
Well, they have brought themselves down to the iPhone level, to exact match! Improved fingerprint reader, but no removable battery or expandable storage! :/ I think I'll give apple a try now, for the first time in my life. ( but I'll keep my S4 anyway)
I personally think its the best looking phone Samsung's made. It combines all my favorite design characteristics from the iPhone: sand blasted metal construction, thin design and glass back.
No expandable storage killed it for me. Looks like a great phone though, i loved the S3 and S4, skipped the S5 and went to Oneplus One so ill probably be getting the Oneplus 2 or Note 5 if that'll have expandable storage now instead of the S6.
I really like the glass n aluminum of the form factor. I like that touch ID is improved. I like the 16mp camera. I like the samsung s6 has android lollypop. l love the high res display and high pixel density.
@Derrick Jordan There comes a time when the battery needs to be replaced because every time it recharges, it losses some ions and juice inside. And it doesn't last as long as when you first purchase the phone. Imagine how would it last after one year?
Great Impressions video. It looks like Samsung has done something different with Multi Windows. Would you mind talking about that in your review video, please?
Thumbs up good video, and he is totally right till u hold this thing for a bit it's hard to appreciate how great it feels in the hand! So glad this beast is my new phone, and I will hate to have to put a case on for work...
I love samsung. I think the make some of the best phones. had the s1 then the s3 then the s4 and the s5. Now I'm roken the note 4. I can't believe that they went with no expandability storage and that u can't remove the battery. That's what I loved about samsung. I have about 30gb of music and thousands of photos. No expandable storage is a deal brake for me.
Those guys at 3:25 are really good at taking selfies.
Lol..
You guys are awesome!!!
Lol
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol freaks :p
***** bro, go eat a snickers
Samsung is copying apple now. No sd card no removable battery. What happened to the commercial bragging about not having to carry a charger everwhere?
Steven Yan don't be stupid
Copying apple or HTC?
No sd card? forreal?
Well I guess they both are copying each other.
Battery life may not be a problem with lollipop 5.0.1...The os does a great job at utilizing RAM and has actually added almost a third more juice to my note 4 since having made the update.
To the people that are saying "You don't need external storage":
My music library is 46GB.
Google play music is really convenient bro.
1) Online service is for US residents only.
2) I need my music locally, can't use data on the go.
NJPwN Gotchu
There is an 128gb version
Matthew Bishop Of course. That solves everything!
Not. That 128GB is going to cost you an arm and a leg. Good luck getting that.
I'm loving the S6 , it reminds me when Samsung released the s3 they did that phone right & that's what they're doing with the S6!
***** yea, not that im getting this phone but i never really cared for expandable storage or removable battery
It's been down hill for a while
*****
No removable battery, no micro sd slot
Boy Samsung blew it this time. No replaceable battery nor expandable storage TouchWiz is not an advantage. My Note4 will likely be my last Samsung.
Yep! I'm going back to the iPhone lol.. By the time I upgrade the 7 will be out.....
Yup I won't be upgrading until 7 or 8. They better get it right by then.
Jason Priest Just get a GOOD Android phone. LG, Motorola, HTC and Sony are all way better than Samsung's crap.
If that's your opinion. I disagree. I loved my S3 and I love my S5. I've had HTC, Motorola, and LG. Didn't like any of them James Robinson
That new moto x is off the hook. I did the mi4 becasue I couldn't do with 32gigs of storage any more.
HTC One vs Galaxy s6
20mp>16mp
2840mah>2550mah
Metal unibody>glass back
Snapdragon 810>Exynos
Stero Speakers>Single speaker
1080p VS QHD
Exynos chip blows snapdragon 810 out of the water
Looks like a Iphone... No waterproof, no SD, no Removalble battery...
cool story bro, come up with something original
Evan Watty "cool story bro"? come up with your own original tag line.
Evan Watty Says to come up with something original, uses the outdated "cool story bro"
Like an opinion needs to be original. What an idiot.
it does, just look at everyone elses comments are, the same bitching comment
Samsung iGalaxy 6s
Samsung iGalaxy 6z
Samsung iGalaxy 6s with Retina glass back Edge
okay sorry
boxinsideabox basically saying this phone is the complete package idk what you mean with retina cus this display eats retinas for breakfast
Alex Gonzalez I was combining Apple and Samsung terms together, that's what I came up with :P
Appledroid.
They have dumped the only two things Samsung had going for them!
Expandable storage and removable battery!
RIP Samsung.
*****
so $100 on contract is too expensive?
I thought Samsung was known for its great screens
NO EXPANDABLE STORAGE?????????????????????????????
Goodbye, 32gb microSD ;-;
***** hopefully they keep the note line with expandable storage as a multimedia best
Sd card will make phone lag tats y nexus and apple don't use them and samsung followed it.
Dhiraj Reddy what the hell are you talking about. It's only slow to install apps or the system on SD cards
Yeah, the g3 has expandable storage and is a MONSTER performer, so is my Shield Tablet.
Not waterproof and no removable battery? Big loss
and no SD card slot. and not water proof anymore (not ip67)
Two steps back if you ask me.
I thought I was the only one
Yea, they officially lost me!
Water resistant*
This phone goes against all of the things Samsung argued against in the S5 ad campaign
Ikr, guess we'll have to see whether they fucked up the note 5 as well
Obviously but the point I'm trying to make is that Samsung took 1 step forward and 2 steps back with this phone. It's a great phone though don't get me wrong
We're all failing to mention that apple abandoned most of their ad campaigns for the iPhone 6 lol
Lmao for real
Like what?
Well that's a nice iPhone
It's obviously a Nokia, dude.
Hahaha. Legend!
Are you kidding me! That was such a dumb joke, stop insulting Sony...
Actually the whole phone is based off of Samsung ativ if anything apple copied that for their iPhone 6
Ryan Boller
How is that insulting? Apple Looked to Sony for iPhone Design Inspiration
www.pcworld.com/article/259842/apple_looked_to_sony_for_iphone_design_inspiration_court_documents_show.html
:O
Time For Some Logic why not the one plus one
No sd card expansion = not getting it
Good luck with never getting a new phone
moving towards iphone. literally looks like a mix between an iPhone 4/4s and iPhone 6. Samsung just made a huge mistake.
***** not true. The HTC One M9 does, up to 128GB of MicroSD card storage expansion.
***** leaks show that the m9 has it
***** HTC does
I have held on to my s3 for a long while now. And have been seriously waiting for a better smartphone than the previous galaxy family, this is it. I'm definitely goona buy this one. Thank you samsung finally
This could possibly end up being my first Samsung Phone.......good job Samsung. This phone actually looks amazing👌
After seeing this, m9 it is.. :) Better in every way..
Yup
Yep and don't look back at S6 ever
After seeing this, 4 months of food is cheaper and better and you know what... It's actually essential for my survival, lol.
HTC's after sales service in India is one of the worst;. Samsung's is one of the best. Consider that too.
M9 is trash.. Buy an m8 it's the same shit since the camera is a piece of crap on the m9 just like the m8 (:
for me Samsung missed out on the things that made some people want to buy their phone instead of an iPhone, like an removable back and SD card slot... not buying this one....
They really fucked up this time
S6 blue, (s6 edge is that's available)
And yes I already put out a comment but I just saw your s6 impressions and that quad HD oled made me change my mind, always been an HTC fan but I think its time for a change... Love your channel, keep it up
The main reason why I bought a Samsung phone is that it had a user-replaceable battery and SD card. This is a huge step in the direction of fail.
It's totally un-appealing. :)
+Windows Vista lol you were wrong they sold more
If you really pay attention to the phone you can watch the battery draining as he's just opening apps and playing with it, nothing serious.. In about 25 minutes of playing with the phone it died about 10% lol. Uhh is that good?
Lol good eye
Lol
Well 10% at 25 minutes averages to 250 minutes (~4 hours) screen-on time if you use it straight. Normally, that's not considered good for a flagship.
But...I'm guessing the screen brightness is probably set to max for this video, in which case that is very good SOT. And Samsung has very good standby time in the S5 and Note 4, so the S6 will probably perform well in the battery department.
rjmari lol yea if you say so.
Jared Williams Just speculating. Not stating as fact. We'll find out when the phone is released.
I'm getting it... I haven't had a Samsung phone since the S3
I wouldn't get it if i were you but it's your own choice.
***** "Do you really think engineers would put a 2500 mAh battery in the phone without considering the battery life?"
hahahha-apple
***** Mate, engineers or no, 2500 mah is still 2500 mah and QHD is still QHD. You can't magically change that.
QHD slurps battery life and slows down the phone.
after hearing that the s6 wouldn't have expandable storage i was a bit unsure about this phone but I think this is a push to get people to start storing things into the cloud.
QHD on a phone makes no sense.
Makes sence to me. Some people have better vision and they're able to pick up the differences.
theodoro89 Nobody has THAT good of vision
This comment is so old now.
Carlyle's Tech Reviews Dummy, Lasik Eyes can actually see beyond 20/20 vision. Learn 2 Science.
I can tell...
Honestly.. i think samsung has gone to the dark side, not expandable storage, no battery replacement.
Samsung you could have done better...
the oneplus one iss better
I have not really looked into it but the device seems solid
128 gb and u want micro sd,if you are ppoor and cant afford this phone it doesnt mean phone is bad,ur life is
Well i think that the ability to expand memory is a great thing. For example if you have a project, and you want to share it with someone else but the file is 10gb and it would take way too long to share through google drive, then a hard copy on a micro sd card would be shared very easily. See, you have to be able to think outside the box Shroom Master you have a closed mind and your grammar is terrible.
I'm here after 2 years exactly.
and with my s6 galaxy.
Man Marques, you're just so awesome at making videos! Wish mine could be as awesome as yours!
Wait. The battery got smaller? WTF Samsung?
No sd card slot eithe
R
There is a good reason for this though. Think about it. With a smaller batter, you can get to charge it up more. The bigger batteries take so much charge that you only get to charge it once a day. Also the big batteries take hours to charge up.
Why the fuck should someone be happy with having to charge the battery more often!?
Carlyle's Tech Reviews
What? The bigger batteries may take longer to charge, but they really only need to be charged once a day. There should be a balance that's convienet to the user.
A good example is the Oneplus One or Droid turbo. You really only have to charge it over night, then your set for the day.
I like the looks and the design of the S6, but like apples i phones, I am not into the metallic looks or the lack of swappable battery's, and SD cards for expansion of storage in the phones I have owned, like the S3&S4 from Samsung, so as my last android phone was the nexus5, and both of my tablet's are nexus7 2013 LTE models, I bought the LGG3 a few months ago and if I am going to sell it like I do when I buy new phone, I sell the phones I buy cheap to my family members, I am going to wait until the new G4 is reviewed in video, to see if I will buy it, as I am not into Pre- installed apps on phones, unless it's a Nexus or the new moto X 2014,pure edition 32 or 64 GB phone, as all the phones I buy are unlocked sim free phones!
iPhone has a protruding camera:
OMFG WHY WOULD THEY RUIN OUR LIIIIVEES *immense amount of bitching*
Android phone with protruding camera:
It's revolutionary
Who said it was revolutionary? Also this camera will shit on the iPhones...
Callum Montgomery Because it's a year newer. The iPhone 6s Plus will shit on this camera.
Lmao Apple fanboy you're trying too hard
ThemGreenShoes September 2014 to March 2015 is a year? Bullshit. Samsung make the best cameras.
Nobody said it's revolutionary.
2016: S6 can get super bright at 600 nits
2012: Lumia 820 on Auto reached ~850 nits in direct sunlight (contrast got quite washed out though)
Well, the edges of the phone reminds me of iPhone 6 or 6 plus
And the front and back looks like an iPhone 4
Well the iphone 6 and 6 plus ripped off the HTC One.
Larry O'Rourke because it used metal instead of glass ?
lol
Samsung already did one that looked like the Iphone 6 in 2012 or so.
Läwrëncë Ø'Røurkë just because of the antennas at the back? The phones look nothing alike
No waterproof/resist, no SD card slot, No removable battery ? ? Have they lost their minds!?
No. They are just trying to look like Apple. haha
So if I don't like the newest iPhone or android devices, then I switch over
A year later, they released s7 with sd card slot, water resistance, and a larger battery. Feel so damned about buying this phone at launch.
Hi I'm from the future
Alright,
Apple copies Samsung.
Samsung copies Apple.
Done. Stop arguing.
Love marques videos all the time!
Please Samsung. Ditch the freakin Touchwiz interface!!! Stock Android and we have a winner!
Team Samsung devices have the most terrible interface
or cyanogenmod 12
A lot of people like touch wiz and when you sell as much phones as they have you don't make drastic changes like that
Tgen the hunt for the frankenphone would be over
1301407gl The thing is the most people are still people who dont know anything about smartphones and just buy whatever other people who also dont know anything tell them. So this is more a thing of not knowing that there are better alternatives rather than really liking it, in my opinion. The average person just differentiates between Iphone and not Iphone...
Its bottom looks like an iPhone 6. What the crap
Your bottom looks like an iPhone too. Try charging it sometime with lightening cable.
Apply something on the burnt area
...sue incoming
Didn't everyone complain about the speaker on the back
jamil pegues and complain about it being on the side..... soooo
And im just here waiting for Apple to sue Samsung once again...
I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung was sued from Apple because of the new fingerprint scanner
is that a canon c300 (3:23) youre using for your video or a red cam? thanks! nice video though, razor sharp! niiiiiiiiccccee! Godbless
Looks like a combination of the iPhone 4s and the iPhone 6
Not good at all!
don't forget samsung pay
very original
But the iphone 4s was acutally good compared to the iphone 6 which isint really anything newer that the 5s
edwin gonzalez Yeah you right but for samsung to obviously combine both designs isn't good for samsung. I'm not a big samsung fan but I was hoping they did something new with the s6.
TheDrownduck they been bought that company...come on now
S6 is running usb 2.0? hmmmm...
exactly... maybe next year then ... :-/
Let's take a moment to clarify a few irrelevancies;
Preach LOL
Azir To each their own. I won't be spending my money on this.
Azir You should upgrade. I am upgrading from the S3 to the S6 also! :D
Looks like I have to wait for the Z4. This is upsetting.
Its like an uglier iphone
You got that from 2 sentences? Who's petty exactly? Some one is a bit too sensitive to be in the Internet
Uh huh
The Z4 isn't going to be out for a while. HTC One M9 for me it is...
That's underwhelming. Nothing much changed
Thats ridiculous!! Totally copied the iPhone!!
Yes..color and all!
ikr... they can even make a phone call with it just like iphone!
they all copied one another, iphone copied htc one big whoop it has similar design elements
Yeah but wayyyy better
Now i use to be an apple fanboy i owned every apple device but now i dont like apple phones from the iphone5c to iphone6 and 6plus most shitiest phone that just came out it bends and nothing really new other than small stuff like the processor and bigger design etc but on the other hand this galaxy6 is way superior than the iphone 6 so unless your a apple fanboy like i use to look at the specs of both phones and tell me what else they copied ,im pretty surw an iphone 6 dosent have an edged screen
Nice that they're changing the body, but it does look a lot like the iPhone 6..
Wait, how do they look the same?
I think the sides and the new back make them really similar! Especially the bottom! It's a good thing though! Apple do have great designs! But now it's an Android! :)
They do look cool, but I'm more of an HTC phone type of person. I love the sleek metal look of them.
HTC just completely nailed it with design. Can't wait to see the M9's.
Marques after seeing all the colors and the S6 edge I must say I have to change my thoughts on what I previously said. I love this phone.
And I'm sitting here with a S4......
s3 here lol
nathan hellyer hah old ;P
Yea and slow just can't decide what phone to get I was waiting for this but not now. There phones used to be different now they're trying to get other brand fans to buy there shit
Me too, rooted mine. Works perfect. Gonna flash CM 12 soon
Same here. I am literally dying to get this phone.
FAQ for all the idiots out there:

I agree with u on number 3
Yea, Samsung might lose a chunk of their fans by not having removable SD card and battery. Plus seeing all the cracked and shattered iphones out there, I will never buy anything with a class back. Speaking of iPhone, hey fan boys, I thought 4" screens were the perfect size, looks like Apple took notes from Samsung, eh?
They weren't really copying Samsung, they were doing what every other phone company was doing. And by the way I don't understand why you judge other people choices on phones. Would you do the same with someone's car choice or clothing preferences?
Bobschannel
Where did I "judge other people choices on phones"? Steve himself said that 3.5" was the perfect size and the fan boys used that for years and said the screen size like the Note was "Way too big for use", until the iPhone 6 and 6 plus came out. There's a word for that.
Bitch
863mando
lol
Personally I never liked the 4" screen too small for my hands I own ios and Android devices do I'm not biased
1:12 - props for using millimetres. I appreciate Americans who use the metric system when talking about tech specs.
They are deadass copying apple
Guess where apple got their designs from.....
Apple
I no rite! Dis phoon can call iPhones can call too! Copy-urs!
Technically you could say that Apple stole from HTC and Samsung followed the metal trend that everyone seems to like.
Apple has always been using metal u dipshits
watching this on my S6
If you're gonna seal the battery, then why do you need a freakin' QHD display? that's gonna chew through power like a pack of piranhas.
Not Samsung's super amoled
You may have noticed the battery percentage drop from 94 to 93 ''in real time''. Yes, the screen and processor technology is optimised, but still, that's a ton of pixels to throw around. I still think 1080p is plenty enough. I mean, you can't tell the difference between 1080p & QHD unless you either look close with a magnifying glass or have eagle vision.
Well pentile display isn't the best for me. Also Samsung doesn't up their pixels unless the screen itself is more efficient than last generation
1080p is sooo 2013 now
+Sung-Hyun Kim Yeah, that's why the OnePlus Two is running 1080p.
Anyone here looking through old mkbhd vids during COVID-19 to relive the good old days?
Was interested then heard
"no SD, no Removable battery"
So now in my eyes it's bollocks.
Avoiding.
No water resistance, no sd card, no removable battery. Come on SAMSUNG

Marcou o mundo aqui agora Welton Correia? Kkkk
Cara, agora sim!
Many reviews about this, still waiting for yours bro , the real deal
Am I the only one who’s from 2021?
Naah
More cheap plastic. Will they ever learn?
blah blah blah...
I hope you are trolling....because nobody can be this stupid
It's glass smartone
MrJaryd2000 - Minecraft Trolling, Minecraft Funny Moments, Real Life Trolling, and More! I think his point is everyone was bitching about the plastic they took it out and now everyone is bitching about metal well at least the vocal minority is.
I think Samsung becomes something like Apple but for Android.
Excellent review, I am getting a Galaxy S6. CARRY ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A blatant rip-off of the iPhone 6 in many many ways. That's why Samsung really suck!
Sucksung
Would you like some books with that burrnn
I think iPads are a very nice group of tablets! But iPhones are not that great, you can barely use any desktop websites, and they are way too expensive, no extendable storage, and a lot of people say you don't need extendable memory, but Apple can't compress media files AT ALL and its on purpose too!
What are you on about? It has a gorgeous Quad HD display, ->3
OMGGGGGG MANY WAYS???? you people are idiots !! The only thing that looks like an iphone is the bottom what else??? Is the 1440p display?... Or the 3 gigs of ram?? It must be the 16meg camera... Freaking apple fanboy haters
That phone is awesome! I'm really impressed. I like the way you describe every detail!
MKBHD Im going to miss the removoble back. And the ability to extend the memory.
Galaxy s6 is finally grow up ! I love this phone .. Seriously I'm not big fan of samsung but, i will buy s6 as soon as it available.
even though i have heard his intro song million times, it never gets old.
I did not put it on the charger till about 1pm.
ive got the s3 and i know its a old phone but its still amazing. and i wouldn't change it ever :)
I think I'll give apple a try now, for the first time in my life.
( but I'll keep my S4 anyway)
I personally think its the best looking phone Samsung's made. It combines all my favorite design characteristics from the iPhone: sand blasted metal construction, thin design and glass back.
Apple fan here, but the 1.9 aperture, fast charging, and 4K recording is pretty awesome...
