I personally use a "Droid mini" (Verizon) as my daily phone and I have never felt the need to use a micro SD card. I am aware of that "some people" use the SD card to transfer pictures and music from phone to phone (also computer to phone) ,but in my experience I have found that there are many software solutions that are simply more convenient and easy to use (meaning that with some programs my data is immediately transferred between devices) I respect for your "need" for a SD card, but I personally that the SD card is unnecessary due to software solutions. Please respond I am interested to hear your reasoning -Just as a final note; I am definitely considering the "Galaxy S6" as my next phone.
Since the battery ain't replaceable, is the battery have higher quality then the normal Samsung batteries, lets just say I had terrible battery problems with Samsung devices

Just switched from HTC One M8 to the S6 and I am seriously loving it. Been running it pretty non-stop for the last 6 hours including streaming and using bluetooth and it's sitting at 81%, whereas the HTC One M8 would have been down to about 60% by this stage (Not very scientific, but hey, I notice the difference). I was really concerned about losing the expandable storage, but turns out that the 32b model will be perfect as I've stopped storing music locally and just use spotify these days anyways. Also seriously digging the wireless charging and it's opening up some new possibilities for my next desk build

I don't understand, if your a power user then of course the battery is going to run down. I use my phone for everything, but I make sure I have my charger on hand or just the power stick for an extra boost until i get home. As far as the battery and expansion slot, people are complaining but turn around and buy an Apple phone. Is it not the same thing? So why get mad. You can't complain about Samsung's phone being plastic but when they change it along with other stuff, people still find something to bitch about. At the end of the day something has to go. I have always enjoy Samsung products despite a few flaws but their new products always has me ready to buy. So when this new Edge drops I will be buying it and I can"t wait!

Adnan Zoro apple copying off htc, really isn't that big of a deal. They had a gigantic cross licensing agreement a while ago, so I'm pretty sure the design is one of the things they agreed apon. Also in terms of who was first for an aluminum phone, technically the iphone 2g from 07 was for the most part aluminum, just with a plastic cover on the bottom. everyone copies from everyone, that's to be expected, but arguing a opinionated. comment with another isn't going to make things better.

So I just switched from the iphone 5 to the Galaxy s6 edge. (Writing this with s6 edge) So far the phone is amazing, battery life isn't a problem and can last me a whole day (watching RUclips videos and texting for about 3-5hours) The screen is absolutely stunning, and the camera and video recording looks crystal clear with zero lag. The switch from phones took a few days to get used to but the interface proved simple to learn. I'm loving the customizing on the s6 and I just needed something new, the iPhone 6 seems safe and boring, while the edge is dripping in customization. Which adds to the feel of a more upgraded and modern device. The keyboard on the edge is a bit hard to get used to, and sometimes I find myself misclicking buttons from how I hold the edge compared to the previous phone. The only annoying thing is how I sometimes misclick buttons (home, back, or power) buy also consider that could be still getting used to it. Overall conclusion: if you have the money it's a MUST get. Everything is incredibly smooth and will not dissapoint. I don't regret making the switch at all. Sorry for long review :)
IPhone 6: Up to date, doing their own thing(not copying), best camera, new paying system, a few pre-installed apps, unique and their own processer.... Samsung Gal 6: Copying, stops working correctly in 6 months, big ugly camera, still copying, has the same processor of like 10 phones, shit load of pre-installed apps......
Apple copies more than you think, they got the iPhone 6 design from the HTC One M8... Samsung phones last 3-4 years if you use them correctly, the Camera is one of the best out there and it looks great on the Black Model, The Paying system of Samsung is eons better than anything else surprisingly as it's going to work at 90% of ALL retail stores in Australia, UK and America...The processor is completely different and is a lot better than the current SnapDragon processors due to optimization, Samsung has like 4 pre-installed apps, and they are all awesome unlike what the S5 and older models had.
Everybody above me is right. This phone will be better than the iPhone if you can enjoy android. They fixed all the problems people have complained of. The one thing you said though about the camera had me dumbfounded. The iPhone 6+ camera is in no way the best camera on a smart phone. That either goes to a Sony xperia, or the note 4 (or unreleased s6). There is no comparison.

The Note 4's screen, despite the increase in resolution uses LESS POWER than the screen in the Note 3, so the increase in resolution in the S6 probably won't hurt the battery.
in this preview,you can see battery level on s6 edge droping from 93% to 92% in 6 minute,while checking it's features,which is not bad,so i believe it will be satisfying...
no that not that best way of judging the battery performance.. should be using the phone for at least a week to get the actual efficiency of the battery..
I have an s6 and it's awesone. the camera is awesome and it's not too bad in speed. it's a pretty phone. Also,I've already dropped it multiple times and it has never brke. it's actually much more durable than the iphone.

Honestly I've never watched any rundowns on newly released Samsung devices bc I've always had that "blind faith" until I spent the last couple of years we my S5. Not slinging mud, just looking forward to a phone that actually executes the commands given vs randomly calling my Mom!! Nonetheless, thanks for the rundown and thanks for keeping it focused on features that r important to an everyday user and using terms I was able to follow!! Def sealed my decision. I am still curious about durability though! I know u addressed the exterior design going to glass and metsl, however, I've gotta give a hand to my S5 for the fact that several months ago my phone went MIA in the house, hate that, and when I called it, my washer started to ring......mid rinse cycle!!! Needless to say I was never expecting my S5 to EVER function again, but to my extreme surprise, never missed a beat!!! Sooooo.......if I find my new S6 Edge floating in the bathtub, what is the likelihood that it would survive as well?? Just a question!! When I bought my galaxy s4 I bought the 16gb because I was going to buy a large SD card. Now the phone storage in reality I think was like 9gb. Will that be the same thing with this phone where if I want to get a 32gb phone I end up only having 15gb available? If so I'll definitely look elsewhere. Thank you for reading my question. 😊
i don't have an samsung but i have a different phone with 16gb and i have almost 10GB free. 9.80 or something. so it's normal. phone OS needs space itself too. buy a 64GB sd card maybe>
There's actually no point in buying the S6 Edge, except the esthetics of it. The price tag is also horrific, for just adding the edges (and like 3 features that you can use on the edges). Agree?

***** Yes and No Sambeki. It depends why you are buying a fone!Sure you can buy a really great functional fone for a lot less money, this is true. IMO, I bought one 3 weeks back and what really strikes me is just how well it works.. i use it for work and it keeps me tuned into my social and emails really really well, the interface is genuinely easy but then i'm no geek who studies these things. The edge useful? Nah not really.. But It looks really really great and that does count for some including me. Aesthetics aside I can't honestly sing it's praises enough. Put it this way, i bought it out in Asia and it costs A LOT here. I have no axe to grind in the Sammy vs Apple nonsense, i've very happily owned both over the years. If you want a fone that is very highly capable, super quick easy to use and looks amazing then you can't do better. I'm pretty tight with my cash and do no feel like i've wasted a single cent on my S6. And trust me... you will like the way the edge looks, it's sexy.
Just bought a standard S6, have high expectations for it, i'm not asking the battery to last me forever, i just need it to be able to handle use throughout the day and i came come home from work with some juice left on it.
Oh yeah for sure! Battery is better than i though, it charges well, i've had 0 problems with it. I love it, the camera is amazing and the phone operates fast as hell.
+Drunk Not I Am I feel just like you do, I picked up an s6 about a month or two ago because I just wasn't ready to spend so much money on an s7 and I was pleasantly surprised at just how great the s6 is. I'm getting 5 hours screen on time and exceptionally fast performance, I couldn't be happier. It recently updated to marshmallow as well, I honestly couldn't ask for more out of a phone I get pretty much dirt cheap all things considered.

Alyssexoxo well.. it was good to have batteries that you can take out and change to a battery that is already charged. (having a phone for more then 10 years, i've never changed a battery) but there are extreme phone users where battery drains fast. but as they said in barcelona, they weren't ready to do what they did with s6 because the battery technology wasn't good enough yet. because now the batteries . you would need 10 mintues charging time to charge enough power for 4 hours use. isn't that great? just put your phone on charge for 30 minutes and you have a full charge...... you don't need a replacement battery for that!. and a wireless charging.. uhgh i heard a lot of power is being *leaked* or something because it has a big surface and not all 100% of the power goes into the phone. but that was 3 y ears ago when i heard about that. but now i'm sure we have better wireless chargers.... well i don't know . it has a magnetic resonance charging or how it was called. i'd say. it's bad to have wireless charging because i'm a lot of times on my phone even when it's charging. and if it's wireless it would need to STAY on that one panel and it would be hard to use the phone. but hey... it needs to charge 10 mintues to have 4 hours worth of power...... sooooo..... now i don't care anymore. and it's awesome to put your phone on a charging station . like when you come frmo work or something. just put your phone on the panel. and that's all.. don't worry about if it's charged or not.. BUT you will have one problem there.. i did not hear if you could charge the phone the old way ..... i'm sure you still can. because what if you go to your friends and i'm sure they won't have a wireless charging. or it would be tiredsome to take that wireless charging panel with you all th etime which is , i guess a bit bigger. because it's like a panel. .. much space? huh. well.. the phone was EXTREMELY improved.. it's processor consumes less power while gives much more computing power.. i'd defenitely go for it if i would have the monmey. the edge version preferably. and 64gb version. 32gb if i would be a very busy person and who doesn't use A LOT of apps for fun and videos and pics.. 128gb is better of course xD
the only thing i miss about that phone is.. not that you can't remove the battery... ( you would still need to change it in about 3-4 years or less if you use it 20 hours a day) and not that you uhgh . and not that it's not water proof.. or maybe a little bit? you could use the phone while it's raining :D? well nah.. i've never done that. what i really would miss is . that you can't put an sd card anymore. even if you ahve 128gb version of the phone. still would be awesome to put additional 128gb micro sdhc hard into it :d
Chris Roberts i have now the note edge and that w=one is also within 30 minutes half uploaded mine is within a hour full and the samsung galaxy s 6 edge can wireless oploading and yes i like the sd card so my desision is to hold both if ii order the s 6 edge

Honestly, I think they wont, as it's a big thing for Samsung, with it's removable backings and SD slots, so don't worry, Samsung will probably just do the Uni-Body design for the Flagships and the awesome Note line will have the awesome features it's always had.
Probably not. They may even have the removable batteries too. Note is more for the ultimate/power user so SD is pretty important to that. I dont think Samsung would be stupid enough to shoot themselves in the foot like that lol. Its just the S line thats for the average consumer

I told them a long time ago when the Note Edges were coming out that it wasn't viable for left handed people and that a dual edge design would be better and would eliminate any need for a left vs. right handed phone. This video hits the spot. 100%. i have been hanging around with my Gallaxy S3 just waiting for the S6. Now i need to get back on the fence and consider HTC, LG or Apple. As soon as they announced the S6 and i learned no removable battery and no water proofing I was so disappointed. Then, no SD cards. Terrible. Now I might as well make the switch to APPLE. Sure..The phone is pretty, but I really don't care about pretty & resolution in a phone. I care about using the phone. With the extra battery I use the phone all I want knowing that if the battery dies, I have another 2 in briefcase. These flaws are REAL.
This phone is a game changer hands down. The camera has already been tested and IS the best smartphone camera by far, dual edge display? No other brand has even thought of it. Kudos to Samsung on this beautiful device, cant wait to get my hands on one!!
I switched, a couple of months ago, to a Lumia 1520 from the 1020, in order to take advantage of the Lumia Denim camera update and Windows 10. It's too big, and, Zeiss lenses aside, the 20 MP sensor isn't as versatile as the 41MPs of the 1020. But, what may keep me using this phone for a while is the 3,400 mAh battery that gets me through an entire day of work, calls, games and surfing - with 30% left to spare. Will be interested in what real-world experience is like with the S6 Edge...and whether Microsoft bring a Lumia 1020 replacement.

I held both of these in my hand and boy are these some beautiful devices. Samsung finally stepped up their design game. The S6 Edge does feel a bit weird due to the thin side edge due to the dual Edge screen, but it's something you would get used to over time. And just like with any other premium built phone, and take to the next level with all that glass, this phone feels very fragile. Nevertheless, I would take that fragility any day of the week over plastic! Aluminum and glass just feel awesome. Great video Jon.
They could have easily managed to put an SD card slot in. The design isn't too far off the Z3 which still manages to be expandable on top of being water proof
what would make this a deal breaker for me would be the camera audio quality. im a musician. i like to record in clubs or venues. im really curious as to how the quality comes out in a live situation. any thoughts?
Does the S6 have the battery loss after a year?? My dad has a S4 and after a year the battery life decreased is this the same situation?? How long can I actually use a S6 in terms of performance?

Great video! If you don't mind a thicker phone for longer battery then you're the kind of person that should buy a battery case. If they made chunky phones with batteries that last two days most people would be unhappy. At least now you have the option of making your own phone chunky and getting more battery life, if it came like that from Samsung there'd be no recourse for the majority who want it thin.
This was the phone that got me back into wanting a Samsung though I held off for a long time and got a note 9 because I’m just in love with the pen futures and everything I can’t go back to anything else .
I've already watched multiple videos about the S6 and not one has mentioned that the charger is a Fast Charging Adapter, which I think the Note 4 also had. It really is fast! Also, the S6 has wireless charging capability, all you need is the wireless charger, which goes for just about $50 bucks.
I love the fact you said that you wanted a Chuck Norris batter life very true point. Also in my opinion and it certainly is reflecting in some of the reviews is Samsung is releasing the s6 to match competition however they are not always getting it right and I am guessing that depending on how their fan base will respond who knows you might see a water proof and dust proof s6 edge
I was thinking of waiting for Note 5 but seeing what Samsung has done to the S6 without expandable storage and replaceable battery, looks like Note 4 and Edge version sounds like a better deal now. As soon as these S6 come out and prices drop on the previous models I'll be jumping on those!

So I just switched from the iphone 5 to the Galaxy s6 edge. (Writing this with s6 edge)
So far the phone is amazing, battery life isn't a problem and can last me a whole day (watching RUclips videos and texting for about 3-5hours) The screen is absolutely stunning, and the camera and video recording looks crystal clear with zero lag. The switch from phones took a few days to get used to but the interface proved simple to learn. I'm loving the customizing on the s6 and I just needed something new, the iPhone 6 seems safe and boring, while the edge is dripping in customization. Which adds to the feel of a more upgraded and modern device. The keyboard on the edge is a bit hard to get used to, and sometimes I find myself misclicking buttons from how I hold the edge compared to the previous phone. The only annoying thing is how I sometimes misclick buttons (home, back, or power) buy also consider that could be still getting used to it. Overall conclusion: if you have the money it's a MUST get. Everything is incredibly smooth and will not dissapoint. I don't regret making the switch at all.

Apple copies more than you think, they got the iPhone 6 design from the HTC One M8... Samsung phones last 3-4 years if you use them correctly, the Camera is one of the best out there and it looks great on the Black Model, The Paying system of Samsung is eons better than anything else surprisingly as it's going to work at 90% of ALL retail stores in Australia, UK and America...The processor is completely different and is a lot better than the current SnapDragon processors due to optimization, Samsung has like 4 pre-installed apps, and they are all awesome unlike what the S5 and older models had.
I still use my Galaxy S3 and it is still kicking and alive. :)

Everybody above me is right. This phone will be better than the iPhone if you can enjoy android. They fixed all the problems people have complained of. The one thing you said though about the camera had me dumbfounded. The iPhone 6+ camera is in no way the best camera on a smart phone. That either goes to a Sony xperia, or the note 4 (or unreleased s6). There is no comparison.

The Note 4's screen, despite the increase in resolution uses LESS POWER than the screen in the Note 3, so the increase in resolution in the S6 probably won't hurt the battery.

I have an s6 and it's awesone. the camera is awesome and it's not too bad in speed. it's a pretty phone. Also,I've already dropped it multiple times and it has never brke. it's actually much more durable than the iphone.

Jonathan-great vid distinguishing the differences, and how they would impact consumers' use, of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Honestly I've never watched any rundowns on newly released Samsung devices bc I've always had that "blind faith" until I spent the last couple of years we my S5. Not slinging mud, just looking forward to a phone that actually executes the commands given vs randomly calling my Mom!! Nonetheless, thanks for the rundown and thanks for keeping it focused on features that r important to an everyday user and using terms I was able to follow!! Def sealed my decision. I am still curious about durability though! I know u addressed the exterior design going to glass and metsl, however, I've gotta give a hand to my S5 for the fact that several months ago my phone went MIA in the house, hate that, and when I called it, my washer started to ring......mid rinse cycle!!! Needless to say I was never expecting my S5 to EVER function again, but to my extreme surprise, never missed a beat!!! Sooooo.......if I find my new S6 Edge floating in the bathtub, what is the likelihood that it would survive as well?? Just a question!! When I bought my galaxy s4 I bought the 16gb because I was going to buy a large SD card. Now the phone storage in reality I think was like 9gb. Will that be the same thing with this phone where if I want to get a 32gb phone I end up only having 15gb available? If so I'll definitely look elsewhere.

It depends why you are buying a fone!Sure you can buy a really great functional fone for a lot less money, this is true. IMO, I bought one 3 weeks back and what really strikes me is just how well it works.. i use it for work and it keeps me tuned into my social and emails really really well, the interface is genuinely easy but then i'm no geek who studies these things. The edge useful? Nah not really.. But It looks really really great and that does count for some including me. Aesthetics aside I can't honestly sing it's praises enough. Put it this way, i bought it out in Asia and it costs A LOT here. I have no axe to grind in the Sammy vs Apple nonsense, i've very happily owned both over the years. If you want a fone that is very highly capable, super quick easy to use and looks amazing then you can't do better. I'm pretty tight with my cash and do no feel like i've wasted a single cent on my S6. And trust me... you will like the way the edge looks, it's sexy.

Alyssexoxo well.. it was good to have batteries that you can take out and change to a battery that is already charged. (having a phone for more then 10 years, i've never changed a battery) but there are extreme phone users where battery drains fast. but as they said in barcelona, they weren't ready to do what they did with s6 because the battery technology wasn't good enough yet. because now the batteries . you would need 10 mintues charging time to charge enough power for 4 hours use. isn't that great? just put your phone on charge for 30 minutes and you have a full charge...... you don't need a replacement battery for that!. and a wireless charging.. uhgh i heard a lot of power is being *leaked* or something because it has a big surface and not all 100% of the power goes into the phone. but that was 3 y ears ago when i heard about that. but now i'm sure we have better wireless chargers.... well i don't know . it has a magnetic resonance charging or how it was called. i'd say. it's bad to have wireless charging because i'm a lot of times on my phone even when it's charging. and if it's wireless it would need to STAY on that one panel and it would be hard to use the phone. but hey... it needs to charge 10 mintues to have 4 hours worth of power...... sooooo..... now i don't care anymore. and it's awesome to put your phone on a charging station . like when you come frmo work or something. just put your phone on the panel. and that's all.. don't worry about if it's charged or not.. BUT you will have one problem there.. i did not hear if you could charge the phone the old way ..... i'm sure you still can. because what if you go to your friends and i'm sure they won't have a wireless charging. or it would be tiredsome to take that wireless charging panel with you all th etime which is , i guess a bit bigger. because it's like a panel. .. much space? huh.

the only thing i miss about that phone is.. not that you can't remove the battery... ( you would still need to change it in about 3-4 years or less if you use it 20 hours a day)

Honestly, I think they wont, as it's a big thing for Samsung, with it's removable backings and SD slots, so don't worry, Samsung will probably just do the Uni-Body design for the Flagships and the awesome Note line will have the awesome features it's always had.

I'm gonna go ahead and claim credit for the dual edge concept. I told them a long time ago when the Note Edges were coming out that it wasn't viable for left handed people and that a dual edge design would be better and would eliminate any need for a left vs. right handed phone.

This video hits the spot. 100%. i have been hanging around with my Gallaxy S3 just waiting for the S6. Now i need to get back on the fence and consider HTC, LG or Apple. As soon as they announced the S6 and i learned no removable battery and no water proofing I was so disappointed. Then, no SD cards. Terrible. Now I might as well make the switch to APPLE. Sure..The phone is pretty, but I really don't care about pretty & resolution in a phone. I care about using the phone. With the extra battery I use the phone all I want knowing that if the battery dies, I have another 2 in briefcase.

This phone is a game changer hands down. The camera has already been tested and IS the best smartphone camera by far, dual edge display? No other brand has even thought of it. Kudos to Samsung on this beautiful device, cant wait to get my hands on one!!
I switched, a couple of months ago, to a Lumia 1520 from the 1020, in order to take advantage of the Lumia Denim camera update and Windows 10. It's too big, and, Zeiss lenses aside, the 20 MP sensor isn't as versatile as the 41MPs of the 1020. But, what may keep me using this phone for a while is the 3,400 mAh battery that gets me through an entire day of work, calls, games and surfing - with 30% left to spare. Will be interested in what real-world experience is like with the S6 Edge...and whether Microsoft bring a Lumia 1020 replacement.

I held both of these in my hand and boy are these some beautiful devices. Samsung finally stepped up their design game. The S6 Edge does feel a bit weird due to the thin side edge due to the dual Edge screen, but it's something you would get used to over time. And just like with any other premium built phone, and take to the next level with all that glass, this phone feels very fragile. Nevertheless, I would take that fragility any day of the week over plastic! Aluminum and glass just feel awesome. Great video Jon.

If you don't mind a thicker phone for longer battery then you're the kind of person that should buy a battery case. If they made chunky phones with batteries that last two days most people would be unhappy. At least now you have the option of making your own phone chunky and getting more battery life, if it came like that from Samsung there'd be no recourse for the majority who want it thin.

This was the phone that got me back into wanting a Samsung though I held off for a long time and got a note 9 because I’m just in love with the pen futures and everything I can’t go back to anything else .
I've already watched multiple videos about the S6 and not one has mentioned that the charger is a Fast Charging Adapter, which I think the Note 4 also had. It really is fast! Also, the S6 has wireless charging capability, all you need is the wireless charger, which goes for just about $50 bucks.

Also in my opinion and it certainly is reflecting in some of the reviews is Samsung is releasing the s6 to match competition however they are not always getting it right and I am guessing that depending on how their fan base will respond who knows you might see a water proof and dust proof s6 edge
