- Life In Messiah took a team with cameras to the famous neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn - headquarters for the renown Hasidic Jewish group called Chabad (Lubavitch). These special people loved by God were willing to share speak with us and honestly share their beliefs. What was the topic of choice? We asked them the question: "What do you think about Jesus and the claim that He is the Jewish Messiah?" We respect their vulnerability to discuss such a hot topic with us. They certainly didn't hold back, and you may find their answers informative as they relate to their community. Do pray for God's blessing on the Jewish people, and there is one blessing that outweighs them all: Recognition that the Jewish Messiah has, in fact, come, and that that wonderful Messiah is Jesus.

The sword is the word of God. The LORD said, the word is like a double edged sword. Able to cut to the division of spirit and soul, bone and marrow. He was not speaking of a literal sword. The LORD gives life, He does NOT kill. It is the devil that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
There is power in the word of God.
Amen. Jesus never commanded violence or use of force. Aside from that, I wonder what this man makes of all the literal swords being used at God's command (and rightly so) in his own Torah?
@@natjackson4880isn’t numbers 14 all about Gods people haven a chosen land and slaying the inhabitants to take it over? I mean maybe we have different understandings if the word violent. The only way for forgiveness in the olden day was by either animal or human sacrifice… sounds pretty violent to me or when an entire city was turned to brimstone and fire due to them choosing to live a different way. God is a just God the same way he is a fair God that’s why it will rain in the just and unjust and no God isn’t anti violence if you think that just look at the way nature works, something must die for another to live that is life.
I don't blame them, they were raised on this belief, same as Muslims, same as Buddhism.
I'm glad I know Christ Jesus as the Messiah and I'll go a bit further to say, I believe He is God.
By the way, a side note, the Sword means the Word of God, not literally a sword. Our fellow Jew kept repeating the sword not knowing that the Messiah Jesus Himself and on the night of His capture, told Peter His disciple and the future Rock that His Church will be built upon: " Peter, put your sword back in its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.
I really hope these people's blindness will come to pass and start realising the real Messiah.

Thanks for viewing. These gentlemen were very kind to give us these interviews. We so appreciate their honesty. They certainly didn't have to give us these interviews. Although we may not see eye to eye on the identity of Messiah, we routinely stand up for them as we stand against antisemitism. We know the Jewish people have a special calling in God's sight, and we love those that God loves. We feel blessed to do our best to bless the Jewish people.
Jesus said - "The kingdom of God is within you and all around you. It is not within buildings of wood or stone. Split a piece of wood and you will find me. Look beneath a stone and I am there." It was his way of letting mankind know that the infinite power of God is accessible to anyone wherever you are.
The October 7th massacre of Israeli civilians by Hamas had very real similarities in brutality to the holocaust. Considering that Hamas promised they would commit atrocities like this again and again and that this was just the beginning, and considering that Israeli civilians are still held hostage by those who committed such atrocities, the Israeli Defense Force is searching for the hostages in Gaza. It is important for the nations to respect the Jewish people and the reality that the God of the Bible gave the Jewish people the land. While other nations might live among the Jewish people in Israel, we should acknowledge God gave that land to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants.

Words and labels and terms aside, its still just a bunch of human beings beating and killing each other over dirt. If EVERYONE on ALL SIDES TRULY LOVED GOD WITH ALL THERE HEART AND SOUL this wouldn't have ever happened. Its all just a matter of HUGE EGOS and PETTY DIFFERENCES. JESUS' STORY IS A HOAX: The dilemma of who Jesus is became irrelevant for most Jews, this question is more relevant to Christians. lol I think Christians are trying to trying to so hard to convince jews that Jesus is the messiah of Israel. In reality, this issue was already debated /decided in the first century. The first century Jews decided based on the FACTS of a movement of Jews stating that a messiah already had come was a HOAX for jews not to lose faith in God, because the Romans destroyed the second temple.
It was a made up 'concept" to disturb the Roman Empire and to let them know that the Jews will win at the end. If the Jews did not defeat the Romans militarily but they did with the concept of a messiah coming to destroy them.
Guess what the Romans did??? like usual when they defeated a nation...they assimilated their deities ( so they created a messiah figure of worship) so that they will make the nation believe that their god did it and the Roman emperors became the messiah-saviors for them. The truth is that since no archaeologist has discovered the tomb of the so called Jesus , that means , this man never died in a tomb donated by a rich man and resurrected at all. No tomb no evidence Jesus existed or was buried. Where is his tomb? If Jesus was really the messiah why would not exist? LOL well the tomb of king David was found ..that means he really existed but not Jesus' tomb. Good luck trying to find it. show me the money. I don't believe in fables or fallacies. Have you ever read the isaiah 53: 11 where it says by his "knowledge" will justify many. It doesn't say his blood will justify many right? . oops you did not read in context ? lol wait a minute did you read vese 10? it says that he will see his seed- offspring but Jesus did not have offspring did he? ooops that is another messiah. Exactly Jesus did not meet the criteria in Isaiah 53, needless to say he met the other messianic requirements.

2. the moral quality of persons or community in Proverbs 11:21 is 'zera'
3. as part of a riddle, zera in Ezekiel 17:5 is pointing to the growth and prosperity of Israel.
There are many, many more examples of 'seed' being used metaphorically in the Bible. Notwithstanding this, you've overlooked the forest for a single tree: Isaiah 53 is a clear prophecy of the Messiah's death (e.g. "Who has believed our report?...He was led as a lamb to the slaughter...When You make His soul an offering for sin".
Prayers the "Chosen People" may see and hear the Truth (Isaiah 42:1-9; 43:1-11) about Yeshua as the "called out" ones occupy and wait for the upward call and meet Yeshua in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It’s so sad that they don’t know their own scripture that prophecies of his first coming over 300 times!!! If the journalist knew the word of God he should have ask them questions about Jesus from there own Jewish scriptures. I feel so sad for them!!! As a christians I must tell you that every single scripture in the holy bible is open to interpetation, don't assume that a religioun which predated ours by 1000 years won't be able to give you two answers for every question you ask. Additionally remember "thier own scripture" is also our scripture, our savior and religion is rooted deep in Judaism.
We know ours, not all of us know yours. I do but I don’t speak for every single Jewish person. So pray for those who don’t know and be at peace knowing some do know and more are coming to knowledge every day.

Isaiah is specific and personalizes God as a human being, along with several specific identifiers. The Jewish objections to Jesus are misdirections and Semitic deceptions, not logically coherent objections. Modern Chabad JUDAISM has absolutely nothing in common with second temple JUDAISM outside of the OT scriptures. They practice ritualized sexual abuse on children and kabbalistic sorcery and wizardry. Activities that are medieval inventions and explicitly outlawed in their own scriptures.

@@lesliewilliam3777 It's talking about Jacob as Israel. You have to see the context as to why Jacob is used as Israel. The prophet Isaiah only referred as "servant" to Jacob the progenitor of the 12 tribes as Israel. Read Isaiah 43: 1, 10 ; Isaiah 49:5,6 ; The whole chapter 53 is addressed to 2 audiences or groups of people , 1) Israel as Jacob 2) to the nations who despised and afflicted Jacob as Israel when we went into exiles among the nations. Unless you know the Jewish history , You won't understand why this is Israel is the suffering servant as Jacob. It's not just one individual my friend.
Hashem punished Israel as a "guilt offering" do you understand when and why was done "guilt offering" in the Law?

So, in Isaiah 53:10 , Hashem said that Israel will see his own seed or offspring as children of an inheritance. This could not apply to your Jesus/Yeshua because according to your religion , jesus did not have children. Needless to say that in verse 11, Hashem said that his righteous servant ( Israel) will justify "many" by his knowledge not by blood.
Jesus did not fulfill that , he saved his followers by his blood not knowledge .

So much in their eschatology is a close parallel. Except that their messiah could be the anti christ. Same with Islam. They are waiting for the Mahdi, also a messiah-like figure.
The Jews seemed very nice and intelligent while the Christian as expected is eager to shove his faith into the throat of others. Let people be.
We hope that it did not come across as a interviewer being "eager to shove his faith into the throat of others." That was certainly not the intention. As you can see, the interviewees spoke with strength and they asserted their personal views perfectly well.

I understand the drive to proselytize, be it from a Christian, a Muslim, a Mormon, or a Scientologist, but I find it overbearing, and often condescending with an air of thinly veiled moral and spiritual superiority.
However cordial, charitable, or open want proselytizers to appear, their ulterior motive is always glaring, they are never genuinely open to have their minds changed. They go into conversations to save souls, not to dispassionately evaluate the truth content of claims about the world.
I have no problem with religions that leave others alone: Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism. For obvious reasons they didn't grow as big as Christianity or Islam.

Balaam was not a Jew and would not speak against the Israelites yet he had the authority to speak as a prophet, today there are prophets who have had true theophanies and glorious revelations, who would never deny Israel's right, in fact they would endorse Israel and the people in Israel as the *Children of God* Christians are envious of Jewish salvation, thinking that Jews have to convert to Christianity but they don't, Christianity came about because one enlightened man and the generation he grew up in knew they had to expand the ability of God to create *a superhighway for souls* that the Children of God would come to God in the arms of *KINGS who would be their foster fathers, and Queen's who would be their Nursing mothers* as recorded in Isaiah 49, which also records Israel as *You are my servant Israel in whom I shall be Glorified*
The new Testament states that Jesus Christ identified Elijah in John the Baptist and John the Baptist identified Israel redivivus in Jesus (the lamb of God) where he said _John answered them, “I baptize with water; but among you stands one whom you do not know,_ 27 *even he who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.” 28* This took place in Bethany.
John the Baptist therefore states that he recognised Jesus as Israel when he was present in Elijah, even though Israel lived 1200 years before him, as confirmed by Isaiah, salvation of the Jews is *The preserved of Jacob are redeemed in Israel*

@@TorahisLifeandLight The Hebrew word for 'offspring' here is 'zera' and has a wide use. The word has literal and non-literal meanings. As to the latter use, here are some examples:
1. the idolatry of Judah in Isaiah 17:11 is called its 'zera'
2. the moral quality of persons or community in Proverbs 11:21 is 'zera'
3. as part of a riddle, zera in Ezekiel 17:5 is pointing to the growth and prosperity of Israel.
There are many, many more examples of 'seed' being used metaphorically in the Bible. Notwithstanding this, you've overlooked the forest for a single tree: Isaiah 53 is a clear prophecy of the Messiah's death (e.g. "Who has believed our report?...He was led as a lamb to the slaughter...When You make His soul an offering for sin".

What a joke. You interviewed a couple of guys who know very little about Judaism. The messiah has not yet come because what he is supposed to do hasn't happened. To claim that he has according to the Christian bible, is a non-sequitur. You can't make inferences from the original based on a sequel.

Christ the King of the Jews, who you rejected even from the time of Samuel, fulfilled accurately 333 prophecies in his life, desth and subsequent resurrection. But, he has blinded your minds, to this day, Deut. 9:13; 29:4; Isaiah 6:9,10. If you want I can bring countless numbers of acriptures, from YOUR bibles which speak of your rejection and hate for your own GOD. What a sick nation, and yet I confess He still loves the nation of Israel, and calls himself The God of Israel. In my mind, a nation that treats their God like you have, are scumbags, but then I'm not God, and He is.

@@KeepingWatch95 I don't think the commenter is any mood to answer any questions. I was born Jewish and still don't understand why people don't believe in The Living Messiah - it really doesn't make sense to me their waiting when they could ask GOD about it now. I think that is going to be the only possible solutions for both sides, they or rather the majority of their peoples are going to need to be much more Spiritual and find out on their own. I see no other way, they simply don't want to listen to any other human. Even those of us who have spoken with GOD. Essentially it is a job left for JESUS and we are stuck just asking them to try and be more spiritual - anything beyond that just causes them to be super negative. One problem is that if they remain on the same path they've been on, then the ongoing conflicts we see in the Holy Land remain - which is really a shame. I'm not a believer that we have to hasten armageddon, I believe the verse about "hasten" is talking about hastening people to CHRIST before it's too late for them,.

They are identifying themself as belonging to a group, and appears they can not think on their own. Nor will they likely for they have to defend their group's ideoligy.

He has come and fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 53. He will return to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem and will reign, just as He said He would. See Acts 1 where Jesus ascends on the Mount of Olives and Zechariah 14 that predicts Messiah's return to the Mount of Olives. It's all there. Amazing!
