The sadness that invades me when I stop to consider the similarities of Islam and Judaism. So many similar values. Truly if two religions should coexist in harmony, it is those two. As a person who was born a Catholic, but who is now a humanist, I utterly respect both religions. Treat each other as we wish to be treated, and the rest should take care of itself. I cried when the wife explained the yearning women have for their husband and children. Speaks right to my heart, as a Christian. What a beautiful family.
I don’t know if this family will ever see this message, but I cannot thank them enough for sharing their faith and their family with us. I see myself as a modern independent woman with traditional values. I wouldn’t imagine that I would resonate with the views of a Hasidic wife. She has opened my heart and my eyes to her life and a beautiful view of marriage and family. Thank you for sharing that beauty with all of us.
The difference between Chabad and me is the same as between Evangelical Christians and me. They are both sects and 'need to do', in order do be 'holy'. They repeat what their leaders tell them to do and they can't form their own opinion. I don't have to do anything at all. I just am. God doesn't want us 'to do'. He wants us 'to be'.
I’m amazed to see the affection between children and their father. They aren’t afraid of him. In fact, they want to be around him. It means that this family is loving and genuine
Exactly how it's supposed to be, and they respect both sides and love them. They are the happiest 😊 people. I know no one is perfect but goodness I feel at home 🏡 with them just watching the video 📹
The wife in this video is so wise, I love her values and how she glows when she speaks of yearning. What a lovely family. May God bless this family always
@신자 adriana starr Pardon me, but you should be so "incompetent" [sic] in your own role in life as a Christian. Where's the shame? Perhaps English is not your mother tongue (Korean?), in which case you are excused. Perhaps, also, you are unaware that the bible's text is not meant to be "literal". An "eye for an eye" would render us all blind in no time at all. May I suggest that you look into your "heart and soul" and dip into Maimonides' great work, 'A Guide for the Perplexed. Take care and may G-d bless you.
@신자 adriana starr Incompetent about what? She follows the original message and you follow a corruption, who is the real incompetent one? Criticizing a jew from a christian pov. Real stupid.
As a Persian I received a big favor from Jewish community in Brooklyn and I won't forgot about.... they are super nice people, hard working and generous ❤️ God bless you all

I am a wanderer in the realm of faith. I have never found my home. Here I am now, old and used up, and I wonder if this faith would even have any use for me? I can't give much anymore, I don't have a lot of energy physically, but I am still hungry to find thst mythical home.
@@NinjaGrrrl7734 Read the Bible. They go by the Torah or the 1st five books of the Bible. I guess they call them the first five books of Moses since he's the one that wrote them. As you know, Christians go by the teaching of Jesus so you could read the book of John in the New Testament and it will tell you all about Jesus and the work he did on the cross and why. I am a Christian, but I'm very interested in Jewish traditions. I love this video. Your wife is such an amazing woman and mother - you can just tell. I love how she explained taking care of the children is the holy work too.
I cut grass for a jewish family once. They were so kind. I was doing them a favor but cutting their grass, and they gave me a Torah as a gift. I still have it. I often read it when i want to go back to the Old Testament
When the woman said, "marriage is not a union, but a reunion. It's bringing back two parts that were one back together." ..... the tone of her voice and her smile, that just touched me.
@inactiveuser555 that's a lie. Yahweh The Most High declares no one can die for the sins of another. Deuteronomy 24:16 Jeremiah 31:30 Ezekiel 18. Psalms 49:7. 2nd Chronicles 25:4. Isaiah 6: 6 and 7. Isaiah 30: 9. Deuteronomy 27: 26
The description this lovely Jewish wife gave for marriage went straight to my soul. I am a Christian, but was just as blessed by God to give me my precious husband. I knew I would marry him INSTANTLY...I was just 13 yrs old, and he was an older man of 14 yrs old. We are coming up to our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary on February 12 and I still "yearn for him" every second of every day! I knew he was my husband instantly and it is a second when time stands still and God's still small voice speaks to my soul and confirms my yearning. We were just 16 yrs old when we married. The funny thing is, he is an Italian from Brooklyn and his mother told him just after we met and I had to leave, on the same day " John that girl has it for you and you have it for her. There goes your wife" We have never looked back and cannot be without each other. May we die in each other's arms if it pleases God. It is so difficult to try and explain the soul yearning to others. She has done it better than anyone I ever heard. You have a lovely family and may God continue to Bless you.
The mother would be a nice role model for me. I’m not Jewish, but I am so hopeful and happy hearing her speak of yearning and the seriousness of choosing a mate. What a beautiful family. It feels good to see them all together and loving each other. “ the woman should be her natural self”” I can’t think of a better way to be loved- just as yourself.
I’m an outsider - so my opinion prob doesn’t mean too much. What shines through here is how much love these parents have for their kiddos. It’s very sweet. These are good people, in my opinion.
Don't underestimate your opinions. Ever. Your thoughts matter, too. We may not be Jewish, but we can respect and love what we see in their values and beliefs. :)
They are good people. You will never hear about an Orthodox person committing a crime. Their families are very close. They work and they obey the laws of God.
I am a Catholic. This lady's video comments should be viewed by every couple at required premarital counseling in the Catholic Church. She should be a featured speaker at marriage workshops. Indeed He is good.Let us thank Him always. All my love to you.

As a someone who comes from a Hindu background I have to ask...Why do Jews say they believe in Hashem (God) but don't use his name, Yehowah, YHWH יהוה like their forefathers did?...Moses, Joshua, Saul, David, Solomon, Elijah, Josiah, etc, etc used it...just curious can somebody Jewish help me?

I'm blown away with the thought of yearning to have children and a family. That's so beautiful! The world would be a better place if everyone entered into parenthood with that thought. I knew I was meant to have my daughters but didn't have the words to explain until I saw this. Thank you for sharing your family and traditions with us!!
sad is that many would love to yearn to take care of their children but they let peer pressure let them think that they are not a woman unless they work outside the home
I noticed that, too. She certainly has a way with words. And to think that English is not her mother tongue! She would have been brought up in childhood speaking Yiddish. She speaks English better and more beautifully than many native speakers of the language.
@@ajarnwordsmith628 why do you think English isnt her first language? The Lubavitch sect of Hasidic (what this family is) generally grow up speaking English as opposed to other sects like Satmar.
@@Rochsify Greetings. Rachel, that's a fair question deserving an answer. My many conversations with Chabadniks left me with the distinct impression that Yiddish was the lingua franca of day-to-day communication within the community, with English or whatever " local" language learned as an add-on means of communication. I grew up in a broken family. Mom and Dad used drugs and in jail on and off. Foster homes, shelters, you name it. Aunts and Uncles and cousins the same. I'm also Jewish (American-Israeli) and while on the surface thier life seems to be all roses, I can assure you that one day, when one of those 8 children tells their parents they are in love with a Black person, or a Christian or that they are gay or lesbian or that they want to go to college and study for a higher degree or that they don't want to do a shudduk and get married at 18 or whatever the case is, the entire family will likely turn thier backs on them and treat them like they are dead. And how do I know this? I've seen it in my own family. Not so nice ....
As a Christian, I love the focus on family, community and God. I am also soon to be a mother of 8, so I understand that yearning very well. This was lovely.
The way the wife explains the matchmaking/search for a partner process makes so much sense. You follow your heart but you also make sure this person is someone who will fit into your life. You go into the match with open eyes, an open mind, and an open heart. ❤
I am not Jewish but, watching videos like this giving small insights into the Jewish religion and way of life are really insightful. Thank you for sharing. Seems like a lovely way raise your children and have a healthy happy marriage.
Until you read the Talmud and find out how they actually feel about you. You must have heard the term, "You get more flies with Honey than with Vinegar.". That is what you are seeing. You are a filthy animal to them and their books specifically say this.
I was raised Orthodox, but not Chassidic. It is a wonderful way to grow up. Judaism is not only religion, but is our culture, as well. Hashem Family are what matters most, who I love most, and who loves me.
If u r familiar with scripture u know that women are considered inferior, there is even a prayer every morning "thank god I am not a woman" I guess whatever she needs to tell herself to feel better
There is such a prayer but it is relation to the fact that men are obligated in more mitzvos. Women are exempt precisely because their role is viewed as crucial to the continuation of the Jewish nation. However since every mitzvah is precious the men stare their gratitude for the opportunity to do the extra mitzvos. They don’t say thank you for making me a man because that would imply that just by being a man they have a greater value

Although my husband does not practice my faith he has no problem with me following Tanakh. I keep the feasts and eat kosher. I have no fellowship but Yahweh The Most High sustains me. When I met my husband (I was not Torah keeper) I knew in my heart he was the one. He asked me to marry him one month after we met and were married six months later. Thank you very much for this video it has blessed me greatly. I feel as if I came to your home you would accept me as a sister. I have subscribed and look forward to more. Thank you very much.
I absolutely love and understand this video RE: children and family. I'm a 65 year old Christian and I raised 14 children who are now all adults with children of their own. Every day was like a birthday party! God bless your wonderful family. 💗
My cousin converted to Orthodox Judaism after marrying. She is fortunate to have two kitchens, a larger and a smaller one to help her keep kosher. Sadly, her husband passed a few years ago but she is committed to her Jewish faith and continues to show her grandchildren the way. Loved seeing this video - reminds me of my cousin and her family whom I dearly love.
I love her thinking about motherhood being the holy work. Even though I'm a southern Baptist I feel exactly how she feels about motherhood being a blessing and how important raising the next generation is.

Yeah, the "yearning" thing was a little over the top for me. I see it as limiting one's options, esp. for women. I think what I appreciate most is the caring attitude toward everyone and the sense of community.
Motherhood is not valued in the secular world in this way any longer, so it's clear that in a culture where it is valued and an honor, there is much more if a yearning for it
I like the respect you had while critiquing that viewpoint. I think a lot of this comes down to how you were raised. She is happy with the choices she made in her life and clearly reflected a lot on what she wanted, so that’s good.

This is my first glimpse into the Lubavitcher sect. This particular community emanates such joy! Open and welcoming to all - yet still pious. As a Christian, this makes my heart smile. And a wife who was allowed to achieve success, then CHOSE a traditional life…with a husband who actively engages with his children. I feel like my incorrect perception of what it means to be Haredi - very stern, outsiders not welcome, participation in the “outside”world will lead you off the path - was based on what I’ve seen/read about the ways of another sect. I’d actually get on the horrendous BQE to take a tour to learn more, now that I know I will be welcomed, and our different faiths mutually respected Blessings to this beautiful family!
Watching this video just gives me joy!! I love the way the womans face lights up when she talks about what it means to be married and God!! This family seems so amazingly sweet!! ❤🙏

I’m a new mom and hearing her speak about the role of a mother was so encouraging. Her words were comforting.

What a beautiful family! Judaism isn't my faith but I love to celebrate and learn about different people's beliefs and how it connects them to G-d. I must have a small ancient spark deep inside of me that draws me, (the curious, reverent, outside observer) back, and back again and again to learn more about G-D's Chosen People. No matter what my faith, the Rabbi, his family and community make a positive and uplifting impact on my spirituality;
Thank you for creating this video and inviting me, the viewer, to share in your faith, wisdom, practice, traditions, laws and most of all, joy!
❤
What a wonderful family, this is exactly what draws me to Chabad Judaism from being raised a Christian.
The sense of tradition and values is simply beyond measure here, and at the same time it's so natural.
May Hashem Bless this family always
Rivky's explanation of the woman's world in Hassidim was beautiful. As an atheist who's "culturally Jewish" I loved listening to her because, putting the Bible aside, this still makes so much sense to me. Beautiful family ❤❤
What an absolute delight it was to watch this family. Brought tears to my eyes. The husband and children were ever so lovely but oh my god.. was it just me or is the wife not flooring in her wisdom and inner radiance? I was so moved by her. Her words and spiritual knowledge were astounding
Thank you so much for inviting me into your home. What a beautiful and happy family you have! It was nice to learn about your kosher kitchen.
Sending blessings and warm wishes for your entire family.♥️
What a BEAUTIFUL loving family!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful parents and children inside and out. Thank you for sharing your life and home.
Beautiful family and values! The Kosher Kitchen is fascinating. I love that they have matchmakers...everyone could use help finding the right person.
I am from Kazakhstan and I like Hasidic jews
Have known many Russian Hasidic Jews ❤
Love this and everything she spoke on makes alot of sense. From a Christian, I'm loving getting to know you all.
Love his wife and her explanations!!
That’s so amazing how she talks about satisfying her yearning and marriage.
I’m yearning for my soulmate.
Thank you for letting us into your home. You are indeed blessed to have such a beautiful family. Shalom.
I’d actually get on the horrendous BQE to take a tour to learn more, now that I know I will be welcomed, and our different faiths mutually respected
Blessings to this beautiful family!
I am Catholic and loved this video. Bless you all
Watching this video just gives me joy!! I love the way the womans face lights up when she talks about what it means to be married and God!! This family seems so amazingly sweet!! ❤🙏
😅 we also have 8 kids. It takes a bizarre blend of rigid routine and laxity to make it work, but it's a wild ride! Of all the stuff my husband and I have done in our lives, and we've done a lot, our biggest adventure and greatest honor is raising all these crazy kids the best we can and hoping they go out into the world and make their little corner of it a better place.
As a South Africa Christian I absolutely enjoyed this look into the life of a Hasidic family. What a pleasure.
As an irish Catholic ireally enjoyed this video it taught me something i never knew, i would love this Family to be my next door neighbor, i would feel really safe living in their neighborhood ,they seem tohave such respect for each other,God Bless them ......
It is impossible to look at your wife and not smile. She truly seems like a wonderful happy mother and wife. You’re a lucky man.
