I think your subscribers aren’t typical RUclips subscribers that average out to 20 minutes and then abandon the video as too long. Instead, I think we love the longer videos. Especially on a piece that surely was destined for the landfill.

As a woman woodworker for over 25 years, I am so happy to see another woman sharpening her tools. This is the first time I've ever seen it done in any video that I've watched. Also, this is the first video of yours that I've watched and I'm so glad to see you didn't use oven cleaner to "strip" this piece. Oh, and thanks for not killing the spiders. I evict them also and never kill them.
So, to recap: A woman who sharpens her tools, strips wood the right way and doesn't kill spiders. Awesome!

Totally amazed at your skill, and ability to see the beauty in what was clearly destined for the garbage dump. I love that you take the time to do the inside of the draws. I haven't seen anyone else go through so much trouble to make the inside of the draws look like near new condition. People don't want to put their thing, weather it would be clothes, linens, or sterling in a draw that stinks, and is not clean. You have taught me a fine lesson. Thank you, Katie Anderson Windsor CT

The moment I saw the first "after" picture, I couldn't believe this is the same piece. I'm glad you took the time to show us every painstaking itty bitty piece of work that had to be done.. it wasn't just slapping on a coat of paint and calling it a day, but actual restoration. I'm always on the edge at the end when the paint and finishing happens but this one is an absolute winner. Stunning! Anyone would be lucky to have this in their homes. ♥️

Omg, you have astounding patience! That was a painstaking restoration! The finished piece is simply gorgeous. You have incredible vision and skill and attention to detail. Most people, including myself, would have gotten overwhelmed with all the fine detail and repair work this piece needed, and either would have given up on it or would have ended up cutting corners just to get to the end. I love and admire your care and commitment in patiently plodding through to address every detail of the piece and accomplish a thorough and artistic restoration. Your work ethic is outstanding.

Watching this reminded me of my grandmother. She was widowed young with 9 children and a farm during WWII and lost her oldest son. She, like you, could see the life left in a piece and found ways to use what she had to bring things back to life.
I loved this entire not-too-long video and your commentary while we watched you work.
My father taught me how to do very basic woodworking and I picked up a few things before raising our 2 daughters. I remember my hubby was flabbergasted when I took the kitchen cabinet doors/drawer fronts off and refinished them while he was out of town for a week. I told him his part was hardware install & putting them all back on!
Anyway I’m helping my daughter strip and restore a dining table for her 1st real apartment. I hope I’ve passed on my grandmother’s DIY & “can do” spirit to my daughters & glad we have you as a resource to help!

This is lovely, and thanks for making the video longer to show how to properly repair this old dresser. I found it very satisfying to watch it to the very end. My dad was a woodworker and he would have liked to watch this video as much as I did, just to see the care given. Yes, it could have become trash so easily, but thanks for saving a little piece of furniture history.

I happen to come across your channel the other day . I am hooked. This one actually made me quite emotional. Because emotionally and physically I feel like I was that beginning piece left in the barn to rot and eventually get thrown away. And then to see how you were able to save it from the garbage and make it beautiful again, made me realize that I can be like that too. And instead of keep covering myself up in paint (metaphorically speaking). I believe that the Lord can do for me. Emotionally and physically heal me from my past. And can fix me up to be even more beautiful than when I started. Plus to have the age and wisdom that I am learning from all my experiences in life that may have caused a lot of the scratches and pieces falling apart. I hardly ever comment or even watch RUclips with videos like this. But this touched me inside. Thank you for giving me a new outlook that I didn't see before. I'm sure you weren't expecting a response as such as this. But you never know how you might be able to help somebody with what you do. You may only think that you are refinishing furniture and keeping it out of the garbage, but you've given me hope that I can be saved from the garbage as well. And I love what you do for the bunnies. We raised bunny rabbits when I was a child on our farm. And I've always had a pet bunny so to see somebody else caring so much for something that's so little in this big world is very encouraging and a blessing. Thank you again have a wonderful and blessed day

Yours just popped up and with the sweet rescues of the spiders to the generous donation for the bunnies I was hooked. I watched the entire video. The loving restoration was beautiful.
