Absolutely stunning transformation! I swear you make these pieces sing, even the ones with “not so good construction” come to live their best life in your hands. Bravo Angie! 🎉
Beautiful! And I really appreciate the camera work on the find dust coming off the scraping of the old finish! Also, the oxalic acid tip when one has an irregular stain to deal with. Thank you so much, Angie.
Glad to see a new video from you. I enjoy your videos over other furniture videos. You share information and it's fun watching. Keep up the good work! You're awesome.
So beautiful!!! Your work and artistry has me wanting to put Odie’s Oil on everything!!! I know, it isn’t *only* Odie’s Oil!!! Phenomenal work and transformation, as always, Angie!!!!
You don't disappoint! Angie, that chest turned out beautifully! I love the colors, and the different tones of wood (veneer)! I even like the little brass knobs. They suit that chest perfectly! Fantastic as always!
That piece should be named "Stella", because you just helped her get her groove back. What a gorgeous transformation. Another stunner. Thank you for taking us along with you on this journey.
Angie, this chest was obviously a lotta work -- but it was so very worth saving! It is simply gorgeous! Your skill, patience and eye for love-worn furniture is a testament to your dedication to art. Happy Holidays to you and your little family! 🥰
Absolutely stunning, like always. I firmly believe you're the best refinisher on RUclips. Love your attention to detail. I'm looking forward to your next video. ❤
Gorgeous, as usual! And thank you for not jumping on that ASMR bandwagon, of recording each and every scrape, cut, and paint swipe. Your content is not gimmicky and very real
Stunning!! Angie, I swear you are a miracle worker. Thank you for all you do. 😊 I hope you enjoy the holidays. Merry Christmas to you and Andrea, and all your kitty and bunny babies!! 🎄❤
Oh my goodness just wow! Again, your talent is out of this world! What a wonderful way of keeping the integrity of the peace while keeping kids and furry friends safe just wow Angie just wow don’t ever stop!
My Christmas gift to me: I just joined Craftsy so I can learn how to crochet. 😁😍 This video was a little difficult to watch, as it was a reminder of the TWO Lane cedar chests I lost 3 years ago (mine & my mother's) to a despicable landlord. 😮😱😭😮💨 You did a wonderful job restoring this chest and someone will treasure it for years to come. 🥰👍 All the very best of the holiday season to you, Andrea, Nacho, and all your other fur-babies. 🙏🎄🎁🎀🌰🍗🥧🍽🍷🥳🎉🎊🥂👍👋
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery I certainly was. But it's water under the bridge now. As my auntie said decades ago, "Living well is the best revenge." 😮😜😁🥰
I absolutely love the way you take so much care and attention to detail for these unloved pieces of furniture. Whenever I watch your videos it's almost like you're bringing something back to life. The pieces of furniture DO have their own personalities and you help them to be proud once more. Brilliant 👏 👏 👏
The chest is gorgeous now--probably more beautiful than when it was new. The Odie's really shows up the amazing grain, and you do such a wonderful job each and every time. The little brass knobs really do look more to scale than the original ones. I love it!
Once again, you've taken lemons and made lemonade. I was a doubter, I must confess. Didn't know how in the world you could transform/restore this one. I'd have taken the veneer off, which I expected you to do, and called it good. But then you up and did all that marvelous veneer repair and replacement. It looks spectacular!!! I only regret I don't have something as splendid to say as this trunk looks! Bravo!
Seeing the bits and pieces as you’re working on it didn’t prepare me for the incredible beauty of the final outcome. My very understated “Oh my!” when it first appeared was a totally inadequate expression of what I felt! Well done, gorgeous!! 💯💖👌
The colors are so dimensional and vibrant. Another outstanding transformation! I have a soft spot for cedar chests, My mother's grandfather made one for his new bride back in 1905. It passed on to my Gram then my Mom and now me--it is a real heirloom piece.
Another beautiful job - thanks so much for giving this chest a new lease on life! I was so excited when I saw that you'd be working on one of these. When I was growing up, everyone's mom had some sort of chest like this (or certainly similar to it), so it brought back such happy memories. You breathed life back into it again so someone else can love it for a long time!
I really enjoy your videos, I’ve learned a lot from them. I appreciate your POV, your bunnies and your beautiful ink. I’ve refinished many of the things I’ve inherited or acquired over the years, like my mother and grandmother before me, lol; lots of walnut and mahogany, my favorites. Thanks for putting this out there.
Just gorgeous! Love what you do and how you explain everything. My husband is a wood worker however he is still learning. He can make whatever I ask him too, his final product isn’t always the greatest. I am very proud of him though. ❤️
Absolutely amazing. It totally disproves the adage "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" LOL Brava you've done it again. I have my mother's old bedroom set with that waterfall edge veneer and I'd love to save it like this, very inspirational, thanks.
That is a visual that truly defines transformation!! Who would have known that all that beauty was hiding underneath the years of wear and tear. It's fabulous 👏👏👏 Merry Christmas, Angie 🌲🎶🔔
You won't be storing this piece very long Angie, as always, you nailed it. Walnut veneer in the drawer looks great with the light wood and gold pulls; gives it a classy look. The book match in the front came out beautiful. Have a great holidays!
Thank you for posting one last video before Christmas. I love watching your videos. Hope you, Andrea & kitty have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I always have to fast forward on your videos because I know how much I’m going to learn. SCORE!! I knew how much this one would improve my skills. It’s ridiculous how much I love your videos and so appreciate you sharing your skills with us newbies. The transformation is ridiculous. From crap to beautiful! Merry Christmas to me!! and to you and yours.
Hey Angie! You did it again. I love what you can do with wood. The types of wood grain on this piece are crazy. Odie's really is loved by many. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into sharing your amazing level of knowledge. I really appreciate it. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and I also hope that the new year brings you peace, joy, good health and prosperity. Sincerely, another Angie
Whao, stunning refreshing work on this chest. What you did to the drawer is amazing, i love the two color of the bottom. Great idea for the back. Love your work, thanks for sharing.
Wow! I never would have guessed that chest could look like that. The transformation is stunning. The wood grain is amazing. I love the new hardware, as you said it adds bling but it also enhances the beauty of the grain. Amazing job as always Angie! Have a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year! 💗💗💗💗
I adore chests like this. The idea that your whole future like could be packed into a chest of this size is such an eye opener . The waterfall front is beautiful, the whole thing is charming. Lovely outcome, as always❤❤❤ edit: nice that you veneered the back, so that it can be used as a coffee table.
It's difficult to think of work like this as repair or restoration since the object probably never looked so good in its original manifestation. It's transcendent! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Angie OMG. You can see that gorgeous veneer now. Looks incredible! Congrats. And the brass drawer pulls were the perfect edition. Merry Christmas and happy holidays! All the best for 2025.
BTW, Angie, I never told you, you helped me repair the mirror glass sliding closet doors in our kid's condo. When she moved in, the mirror was nearly completely separated from the metal door framing. She liked the doors (we discussed just removing it altogether and putting up a curtain), so to try to save them, I got some clear liquid nails that said it could be used on mirror. Problem was how to hold it in place to make sure it would stay in place and cure. I knew clamps were likely to break the mirror and after puzzling on it a bit, I flashed back on what you do to make sure veneer adhere. I used a ton of painters tape, and kept it in place for 48 hours. It was perfect, and 2 years later it is still working well. So, thank you!
Another beautifully done Restoration, Ange! I know this one isn’t super well made, but the veneer patterns are gorgeous! I love how you did the curved trim pieces and the bottom trim darker. They really pop against the lighter veneer of the lid and body. The diagonal veneer on the front of the piece is stunning with the darker contrast with the rest of the body. Just beautiful!!! Merry Christmas!🎄🎄🎄
Beyond incredible. Before & after don’t even look like the same piece. The original was so damaged. I think this may be my new favorite, or #2 of the top 5. Just wow. Where you said it’s really a plain piece, the trim above the lower drawer caught my eye in the before images. The final reveal highlights its hidden beauty. Love the mahogany bow-tie style veneer insert on the front panel. Totally gorgeous. Wishing you & Andrea and the kitties and bunnies a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.❤❤❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Many thanks Monique! 😊
Oh my GOSH girl! What a BEAUTIFUL job you did! Love your work!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Gorgeous- my son is getting into woodworking and once he gets better I want him to refinish my grandparents kitchen table from the 30’s.
It’s really magical what you manage to accomplish. You’re a wood whisperer!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the kind words. 😊
I am forever awed by the quality of your work! This piece is truly a work of artistry! ❤
I literally have to watch on my phone now, today I got to watch on the tv, and my old eyes are thankful.
I'm so glad you got to watch on a larger screen!
That piece should be named "Stella", because you just helped her get her groove back. What a gorgeous transformation. Another stunner. Thank you for taking us along with you on this journey.
Haha I love that
The veneer hidden under that old finish is beautiful! 🤩
just gorgeous. I truly love watching you work Angie, It's pure skill and artistry at it's finest.

Thank you both very much! Happy Holidays to you and yours as well! 🎄
You did a great job, can't even see the repairs. I definitely love the inside more after the Odie's oil, makes it look so much richer.

Oh wow. Thank you very much Nadine! I really appreciate that! 😁
And now a beautiful piece of functional furniture.
Beautiful veneer repair, and the brass knobs on the drawer are a huge improvement on the original. Very nice work. Thank you.
