(4 years late but) I just started watching and I'm gonna miss seeing you and Rachel together, you guys (on camera) seemed to be like Salt and Pepper. I do understand how too much of something can lead to a bad ending. For all that said, watching these is making me want to purchase a new Honda C125 Super Cub after I take my motorcycle course this weekend!

Same here, ive been familiar with c90 adventures for years, just now started watching more though. New Super cubs are really nice, bigger better engines. Im not sure how tough they are compared to the old ones though
@@daftnord4957 its a honda. Still tough. The trail 125 has been released in the us. It would be better than a super cub for the type of riding he does

This channel and someguyrides inspired me to get a supercub 125 that I use to tour through Europe, coming summer to the alps and back home. Ed does the things I never did but wanted, be true to yourself and get a small Honda.

Clive, Honda c90 is the largest selling motorcycle in the world. They don't need to sponsor anyone other than their Formula One team.

I have watched few of your videos and I knew from the very first of your videos that you are an honest person. I fully trust you and I think most others also do.
I just posted on another video how great it was seeing you and Rachel together! Just as i clocked the "post" button i thought: "What if they seperated?".... Then i watched this! Frikkin hurts man, but you are both adventures and need to do your own thing. Looking forward to the rest of the series, though it will be painful to watch witout Rachel there.

There's still 18,000 miles of us travelling together to edit and put online. We crossed Canada and USA together before going our separate ways.

I've also found Rachel's FB page and am not quite so devastated as I was, given that I now understand better what's going on. They're great videos Ed and I am really, really looking forward to watching more and then head off overseas with my husband to do something similar. Sadly not for another 2 years and on slightly different bikes, lol!

Just discovered your videos, cant believe i missed you coming through Oregon. You have definitely inspired me to ride in all weather conditions, but I think my xr650 might be a little too heavy for the ice.

it is February/2021.I completely understand wanting to ride solo. When you ride with a group or even one other person, you spend a lot of time watching them in the mirrors of your bike to see if they got through the traffic light to see if they missed that dead dog in the road, when you should be watching the road. when you ride with others, it’s tough to get everyone to agree on when to stop for gas, where to stop for food, where to stop for the night, the next day, you’re ready to go, and some other people may not be ready, for two hours. then you have fellow riders that don’t really maintain their machines. when they have mechanical issues due to lack of maintenance on the road, they don’t carry tools. they don’t have any mechanical common sense. then there’s the issue of some people want to ride slower than you do, other people want to ride faster than you do. Some people can ride for three hours without stopping, other people can’t ride for more than an hour and they need to stop because their bum hurts. some people have loud obnoxious motorcycles or stereos that attract negative attention. It’s embarrassing to be seen riding with them. Then you have the issue of some people that will ride with a T-shirt and flip-flops. No gloves, no helmet, no rain suit, no tools, no water.
I take my motorcycle riding seriously. I have traveled well over 700,000 miles so far. It’s a concern and a responsibility when you invite people to ride with you. But their lack of planning becomes your problem when things happen.. so, when there is an event that riders I know are going to and they ask me to ride with them, I usually tell them, no thanks, I’ll see you there..

Set up a Patreon, it's perfect for your problem. Since your problem is the cost to make each video (and not trip costs) you can set it to Per-video payment so every time you finish a video you hit the button and all your Patrons are charged their per video donation amount and you get the money. That way if you're slow on a new video, people aren't monthly charged for nothing and it motivates you to get a video out to get the return from your Patrons.
Plus you could offer things like cut footage (which I'm sure you have lots of) as a Patron bonus to entice people to join your Patreon.

Have you thought about doing a Patreon account for your videos? That way you'd get paid per video, and it can be on top of whatever you get via Paypal. I'm a HUGE fan of your videos, and currently am a "patron" for several other adventurers and artists on Patreon, and would most DEFINITELY sign up to help you out!! :D
ETA: And I just noticed at least two others mentioned the same thing. But seriously man, no joke, I'd definitely support you on a per-video (or even per-month, as they do both) purpose if you sign up for it. ;)
