Thank you for your feedback! Rex was so close to making it onto the list, but we wanted to add a bit of variety and uniqueness to our list, and Rex was a very conventional choice.
Awesome list! We were going to do an 'Honourable Mentions' section, but we could name another 10 creatures that could have easily made it onto the list, including the Silurian Scorpion and the Future Fungus.

Is a shame they never made an episode where we see exactly how they came to exist to start with and it would be great to see them appear on T.V again either in a return series or one last episode special to settle the cliffhanger of series 5 where Matt encounters his new future self or in a spinoff series of Primeval?
I wasn't scared of them, but more intrigued than anything
I honestly think they're the best horror creature ever. The idea that they track your sounds rather than your physical form is terrifying. When you think of horror, you think of someone hiding from the monster. You can't do that with a future predator.

First watched it when I was 8, that scared me to the point I was scared of the darkness and random noises in the night, dust being blown by the wind, the leather couches I sit on now, chimneys and I might think of terrifying hallucinations of such a thing to this day

I met the actor that played Connor at the Amsterdam comic con. He is kinda my childhood hero so that was absolutely amazing. I also met Hannah Spearritt (I forgot the characters name) at the con. It was absolutely amazing

Is anyone else actually a bit scared by the Terror Birds? There's one shot in particular where you see one running through a forest towards the camera, all while cawing, in its first episode. Still creeps me out...

Well once I watched a documentary and it was taking about a type of bird that appeared after dinosaurs (well that was part of it ) and it said that it was the size of a fully grown man I'm pretty sure it was talking about a type of terror birds, and yes I think they are a lil creepy

Actually, that dimetrodon was from a show called Walking With Monsters.
The footage used was from Walking With Monsters because the Dimetrodon described in the novel is very similar to Walking With Monsters, probably done in reference to the documentary as it was also produced by Impossible Pictures.

There's always been a sense that the team could ultimately change their futures if they affect the past too much. Just look at the ending to Season 1.
I like to hope they'd alter the past in such a way; that they'd meet their future selves working for Helen or something.
And once they'd beaten themselves *Shut up* they could go back and set things back the way they were.
The series could be called Primeaval Reborn!
Wowwww I just remembered watching this with my mum in her bed when I was tiny I watched it growing up on TV and once it finished I got all the DVDs, my favourite will always be the Sabretooth tiger I remember watching it and when the little kid is at the theme park and it’s in the bush ahhhh that gave me chills I was around 5-6 at the time but I remember just being terrified

I absolutley miss this show
How is the Camo Beast not on this. I've been watching the show since no was 7 and 6 years later it freaking terrifies the heck out of me. The big eyes and spine-chilling roar gives me freaking goosebumps.
As we've said to many people, we can't get everyone's favourite creatures onto the list, and it was a very tough list to make.
Although the Camouflage Beast was rather iconic to Series 3, it was possibly a stretch too Sci-Fi for Primeval, with even cast members stating that they weren't too keen on the idea. Nevertheless, it is still a fantastic creature, and the Episode it was featured in had some incredible tense, horror esque moments.

Justin Melecio Same here. That creature terrified the shit out of me and i love it to bits. I still have nightmares of it until this day😂 I remember trying to watch Primeval videos from a guy and his intro had this orchestrated music and you see that fcking thing. I immediately clicked away😂😂😂

It's such a terrifying creature because its in one singular location.
The ChamoBeast was waiting for the anomaly to reopen for 17 years; and the fact it was perceived as a ghost for so long by the locals, only added to the house's history. Who used to live there? Where did they go? Who was the girl in red? How did the ChamoBeast have that ability?
And sometimes I think it's best to leave these questions unanswered.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this video! Since Primeval's been pretty much dead for the last few years, there's been barely any new content even related to it appearing! I've had to rely on memories, rewatches and the occasional trawling of the wikis for my Primeval fix. I finished Primeval: New World months after it had finished because I missed the last couple of episodes and once that was over, that was it! But THIS is the first, fully-fledged, well-made piece of content I've seen in years! It's so nice to find Primeval being kept alive by the fan community! I feel life flowing through the part of me that loves Primeval! And this is so recent too! You have a subscription from me!

I wish the Gorgonopsid made a reappearance after series 1, I personally thought it was so awesome during it's limited screen time and it was the first anomaly monster.
It's screen time wasn't really limited. It was, like, protagonist\antagonist of episode 1 and later even made a heroic reappearance. This show is maybe it's biggest appearance on screen, if not only.
Creatures that need to appear in Primeval if it’s rebooted.
Tarbosaurus, Gorgonopsid, Diplodocus, Carcharodontosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Plesiosaurs, Argentinosaurs, Prionosuchus, Megalania, Meglodon, Direwolf, Basilosaurus, Procoptodon, Giant carboniferous cockroaches, Carnotaurus, Styracosaurs, Gorgosaurus, A better looking T. rex with more screen time and a whole episode dedicated to it rather than just 2 minutes.

10: Tree Creeper. Even though the concept is inaccurate, the design is cool and the nod to King Kong makes it all the better.
9: Tyrannosaurus. WWD Rex needed an upgrade. This was it. I like the design and the fact that it didn't fall when an ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE WAS FIRED AT IT.
8: Camouflage Beast. Don't feed it after midnight.
7: Megopteran. These guys are so creepy because they're basically giant flies.
6: Hyaenodon. Who wouldn't pet these little guys? It's not like they're dangerous or anything.
5: Mer Creature. Mutant manatees. Reading Rainbow, anyone?
4: Future Predator. While I can agree about it being the mascot of Primeval, I don't think it's the best. Still pretty good.
3: Euchambersia. This thing had the guts to kill a child. I put it on the list because of the venom and the design. But it also had the guts.
2: Inostracevia. It's awesome! And to think that a stem mammal faced off with an evolved bat and won shows that the past can beat the future.
1: Albertosaurus. This boi is the best. Too bad he got killed so easily. 😰

I’m not too sure about that because it would be too similar to the giganotosaurus
Damian Wheeldon. Nah they have kinda different habits: for starters it’s 3m smaller (but still bigger than T-Rex), it comes from Africa, and (and this is the clincher) in times of drought it fought spinosaurus for food cause the rivers it hunted in were too small. Therefore, we could have a logical charcharadontasaurus vs spinosaurus battle in somewhere like a model village or a train depot (these look cool in my head)

The spino was found in North Africa while the Giga found in Argentina.
People say that Primeval has bad CGI, but I LOVE it, it is exactly how I’d imagine these animals, but why are the animals so needlessly aggressive
Not exactly needless they all seemed relatively stressed out by some factor outside of being dropped into a foreign environment, or well simply predators looking for food wherever they can.
Number 1 should be Rex 😂👌 love that little guy
M8 spinosarus was the largest land predator at 18 m and giganantasrus grew to 15m as the third largest just smaller by charcaradontasrus

_--ThisNameIsCreative AsFuck-_- well, remember this is a drama show. As innacurate as it is, making a massive Spinosaurus would be pointless, as there was already a giant creature in the show. In case the Spinosaurus appeared first, giant Giganotosaurus would be pointless too.
Dinosaurs vary in size like any other living creature. While Giganotosaurus had normal size, Spinosaurus was just smaller than usual. It happens. It also could be juvenile.

Ive never actually seen primeval new world is it worth it
Considering it was plagued by low viewer count and only lasted one season, there were some... Meh elements to it.
It tried to go a different route and failed miserably because they'd always just do what the original show did if their own plans didn't work out.
Plus, they wanted to make it a darker rendition of the original; except that there were some dark scenes in the original.
Future Predator Younglings being devoured by the Gorgonopsid.
Finding the boot camp with Ryan's body.
Ryan being killed.
Conor and Duncan finding the mangled corpse of a worker.
Leek been ripped apart by the predators.
So on and so forth.
Their idea of dark and gruesome was to up the gore factor and show literal death on-screen every-time. It took away any suspense and drama and opted for the horror movie clichés when it could've done its own thing and been just as good.
