very good tutorial & walk thru. thank you! would spacing out the cords, in the same orientations as instructed, change the width of the finished product?
Awesome! I've just managed to secure a full set of these (this brand too) for my birthday! Can't wait to start using them ... but first I have to wait for the delivery dude / dudette 😏
I believe this started as misinformation but not correcting your mistake makes in disinformation. If I am wrong please tell me. You know we can talk cordially and hope you are not taking any offense to the things I bring up
He does a great job teaching the not but the information he gives is incomplete and sometimes incorrect even if the knot comes out great. He is great for beginning but continue learning from other sources to gain more of an understanding.
This was cool.... but the one end of the braid has strands and the other end is closed up... won't this will be hard to put a connectors on it? Unless you are using those ribbon crimp things.... I hate those.... wondering how to manipulate that one end....
Hey! You could use a bit of glue to secure the braid a bit further in, then cut the closed up tip. Or you could use 8 separate, shorter cords instead of 4 cords folded in half. I'll be doing flat braided bracelets soon, so I'll be trying both methods.
A multistrand turkshead knot is a great way to end the braids like this. You can also back braid it and end each strand in different locations of the braid
@@parathings yes, I like that idea… I also did one of these with 8 completely separate strands… that gave me the open ends on both sides, which made it easier to end the braids and attach connectors to them…

I'm glad you learn from him but continue your education on these knots. He is talented but not completely correct with his knot knowledge

How would you attach to a snap hooks or buckles
This really resembles a Gaucho pattern for 2 reasons. 1 the bight boundaries and 2 the pattern between the bight boundaries.
