This is as simple as it gets in terms of the recipe! But as delicious as it gets in terms of flavour.
Ingredients:
500 g plain or all purpose flour
50 g granulated sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp active yeast
1 egg
50ml evaporated milk
350 ml warm water.

Hi, this is beautiful and u are an amazing teacher. I would love to make this for a friend's kid, pls just wanna know if I can substitute self rising flour for yeast..

(What a beautiful name) you’ll need to use the yeast and all purpose flour in this recipe as the self rising flour has a leavening agent (baking powder) that won’t work because you’ll end up with a more dense texture, and you’ll also not achieve that classic chewy texture. Hope that helps. 🙏🏿💕
