Hi, this is Sugar from New Jersey.. I love GHANAIAN food... I am going to try several of your recipes this week.. I love Puff Puff the first time I ate in 1999.. I enjoy your videos. BLESSINGS to you and your family
First let me say a warm welcome to you my dear 🙏🏽❤️ I always love feedback after you tried recipes on this channel but no pressure! Thank you again and God bless 🙏🏽😘
Beautiful! Born in Liberia and learned to eat it from my Ghanaian neighbors and street cooking by our Ghanaian sisters in Liberia, delicious! Everything I ate from my Ghanaian sisters were delicious! My favorite I remembered was the kenkay, fufu and ground nut soup or Palm nut soup, and the delicious breads!! Oh sweet memories!! Thanks for this well demonstrated recipe! Yum!
Burnese, gotta tell you, I learned a lot also from my Liberian friends! I learned how to make cassava leaf stew from my Liberian friends and it’s been amazing! I even learned how to corn roll hair as well. Wealth of knowledge! 👌🏾 Thank you so much for watching😘
It’s interesting how different African countries share different variations of fried dough, it unites us ❤️ We call it kaimati/mandazi in East Africa (I’m from Zanzibar)
I know mandazi well! My husband is from Tanzania with Zanzibar roots and I’ve learned a lot about East African cuisine through him. Asante saana ndugu yangu 🙏🏾💕

My dear I am making your boflot now following your recipe I have my own but it almost like yours because I like eggs in it you know it brings the creamy and richness into it that’s how my mom does it Like you said I am going all the way
Thank you for this recipe! So simple to do and so tasty😊 (Coming from someone who has been struggling to make bofrot, especially with the consistency!) Thanks again
Thank you sisters. What I'm wondering is ,WHY IS THERE ALMOST 8K LIKES, WHICH MEANS PRETTY MUCH PEOPLE ARE WATCHING AND USING YOUR RECIPES BUT NOT SUBSCRIBBING. THATS NOT RIGHT.
You really are the best at what you do. I’ve watched several RUclips videos on bofrot and by far, your is the simplest and yet effective way of making it. I did try it your way I love it. So delicious 😋. Thank you 🙏
I've been struggling to make puff puff for so long . Made these today and they turned out beautiful but the sugar was on the low side. Can I add more sugar and it wont affect how it turns out?
Yes, you may adjust the sugar to your preference without altering much. Keep in mind, the higher the content of sugar, the quicker, caramelization sets in, so you must regulate your heat accordingly to prevent the appearance of cooked outer layer with but a raw inner layer 🙏🏽😘
I was thinking the exact same thing - to add a little more sugar. Or, at least sprinkle with sum Confectioners Sugar immediately after they finish cooking.
Hi, this is beautiful and u are an amazing teacher. I would love to make this for a friend's kid, pls just wanna know if I can substitute self rising flour for yeast..
Thank you Ijeoma! (What a beautiful name) you’ll need to use the yeast and all purpose flour in this recipe as the self rising flour has a leavening agent (baking powder) that won’t work because you’ll end up with a more dense texture, and you’ll also not achieve that classic chewy texture. Hope that helps. 🙏🏿💕
Looks yum!!! For half the quantity, could I just divide ingredients by 2...eg 250g flour, 25g sugar, 25ml milk, 125ml water...1 egg still, half a packet of yeast or still 1, maybe same salt? Thanks 😊
Cynthia, thank you for the love! Please help me spread the word about this channel by sharing these videos you love. I’m very grateful for your support sis😘🙏🏾💕

My mom’s best friend was a Nigerian lady and I remember her bringing over a huge basket full of puff puff. She told me to try them and I probably ate about 100 of them that night 😂
Hi Nanaaba, I like the way you make your bofrot. I want to make a large batch, so do I have to take equal amount of each ingredients, say 6 times, e.g 3kg flour. Do I have to use 6 tablespoons of yeast and six eggs and can I substitute fresh milk (semi skimmed) instead of evaporated milk, thanks.

I just love how we are able to learn from each other! This platform is rich with knowledge! Yes the thinner the dough, the more oil it absorbs, also, the addition of melted butter to the dough can create that oil absorbtion as well, The oil has to be just hot enough, and I find medium heat yields the best results and prevents oil absorption.
