    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  4 года назад +5

      Yes, you may adjust the sugar to your preference without altering much. Keep in mind, the higher the content of sugar, the quicker, caramelization sets in, so you must regulate your heat accordingly to prevent the appearance of cooked outer layer with but a raw inner layer 🙏🏽😘

    • @p.reneeblue7799

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  5 лет назад +5

      Thank you Ijeoma! (What a beautiful name) you’ll need to use the yeast and all purpose flour in this recipe as the self rising flour has a leavening agent (baking powder) that won’t work because you’ll end up with a more dense texture, and you’ll also not achieve that classic chewy texture. Hope that helps. 🙏🏿💕

      lol C for Chi! yes ooo, we humans should learn for these pastries lol. There's an adage that says, tree branches that touch each other are more likely to rub one another the wrong way. Evidently, these puff puffs are doing quite the opposite! cracks me up too dear!

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  6 лет назад +1

      the milk brings a touch of richness and the egg is a leavening agent and gives an added richness! I’m confident you’ll love it. Thank you so much!🙏🏿😍

    • @akofabulous

      Awesome. Also I can clearly see the right texture. I've been doing mine too thin all this while, no wonder it soaks up so much oil 😃

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  6 лет назад +1

      I just love how we are able to learn from each other! This platform is rich with knowledge! Yes the thinner the dough, the more oil it absorbs, also, the addition of melted butter to the dough can create that oil absorbtion as well, The oil has to be just hot enough, and I find medium heat yields the best results and prevents oil absorption. Thank you😘🙏🏾
