Based on other fandoms I’ve come across for other very grim, depressing pieces of media (such as the Project Moon games, for example), there tends to be a lot of memes and silly/lighthearted content as a way to cope with the depression induced by said piece of media. ​@@D-03181It must be because of that "opposites attract" thing, but there is also a really cool detail that together they investigate the poor part of prehevil and They are one of the only characters that have a combo Synergy, Karin uses persuade to gain an extra turn, the turn Daan needs to use analyze to spot a weakness

The key to good grimdark is leaving just enough hope and loveliness in the setting- no matter how wretched- that you WANT to see it survive. And that you'll feel all the more pained when it doesn't. The characters- the whole world- can believe themselves doomed. But if readers (or viewers) do as well... not much point in a forgone conclusion, is there?
