As much as Mazda is pushing the barrier between mainstream and premium, the CX-9 is just not up to par with the luxury SUVs. If this was the previous Infiniti then the Mazda would be victorious here, but Infiniti really made some solid upgrades to the QX60. The Mazda that luxury automakers need to watch out for will be the CX-90.

Actually compare the CX-90 ( turbo Inline 6 with 8 speed DCT), the replacement for the CX-9, not a 8 year old model against the all new QX60 . Then you will have a proper comparison , and I'm an Infiniti QX owner.

If anyone is not sure about what they want to buy because there’s so much competition. Take it from me who owns the Qx60. Go and test drive the INFINITI and you’ll see how great the driving experience is. Guys who are in their 40s and 50s who’s missing the sports experience before they had kids. This vehicle brings back so of that excitement. It’s not a sports car or anything like that but drives really nice and handling is really good. lots of power, really nice materials and the 9 speed is really good. I traded my Murano with a cvt. Never again cvt. At first it a little big in size but I used to the size in a few hours.

The CX-9 trades punches in every category and it is $15k less??? Not sure he understands the definition of "value".
