- Today at Ugly Truck, the curse of the 78 Blazer is finally broken! With the new valve installed in the cylinder head and the gasket surfaces clean, we're able to bolt on the head and intake and start putting everything back together. We show you every step, from torqueing the head to setting timing and adjusting the carburetor. It's a lot of work, but this square body Chevy is finally running as it should!

Yes Katie was super smart to. I have 5 dogs and the only reason I have so many is because they all needed a safe place to live and have someone take care of them and love them like family. 3 chihuahuas and a Pom and BoBo the boxer.

Not supposed to torque the quadrajet bolts real tight. Will warp it.
Yes, you should absolutely torque it to spec with a torque wrench. That carburetor was pretty rough, so weren't real worried about it this time.

What light were you using under the hood, is it magnetic?
That is just a LED flood light that I have zip tied up so the lighting is better for the video. I have bought the magnetic ones and they are nice but they end up breaking. Recently I have been using 4 foot led lights and doing the same with them. Zip Ties. They are cheap and put off a ton of light. If you know of something that works great I would love to hear it. Its one of the biggest problems with working on this stuff.
@@UglyTruckExperience I have tried several different ways, biggest problem is the shadows around the engine if I use one light or if I have to scoot under the vehicle it always seems the light is in my eyes. I will fiqure something out one of the days and will let you know. Thanks for all the videos!
