    In my experience, i am the person who never drinks water during or after meal at all.
    My digestion is weak. But when during the month of Ramadan i started drinking water in between meal, my digestion improved, i felt better then before.

      Different for different persons. I don't drink water too until an hour after a meal. My digestion is fine. Been doing this for 6 years now

      Same ..then my dr asked me to drink water before between and after meal i was lil confused and asked him that many people say your food will not digest but then my dr said don't believe in them and do as what i say...and nowmy acidity is gone!!

    Sir Ayurved me Ek term Hai "Anupan" jiska Matlab hai You can drink water But in a very small Amount which Actually helps in Our digestion.As You said too .I am agree with you sir.

    I am a Med student and i completely agree to you , it 's people belief that water during eating hamper your digestion , in fact if you are overweight then drinking water in small amounts while eating prevents you from overeating

    I started drinking water after 30+ mins after having my meal . It improved my digestion . It also helps in detoxifying your body .

    Sir Ayurveda is so much deeply researched as sages dedicated their whole life to quote those suktams it wasn't written on basis of common sense but there was dedication of whole life.
    .
    The word used in astanghridayam is Vari which means water.
    .
    During meal taking small ammount of water is ok but drinking alot water after meal will increase many types of poisons in your body including madhumeh (suger).
    .
    .
    Jatharagni means stomach acid including all the engymes.
    .
    Ayurveda(Ashtang hridayam) also states that if we drink Juice, milk, nimbu pani or lassi it'll not effect badly.
    .
    .
    The concept is explained with Vata, pitta, kaffa..
    As kafa is Mixture of Prithvi+liquid...
    So liquid increases Kafa.
    .
    Pitta is Mixture of
    agni+liquid..
    So liquid also increases pitta.
    .
    Depends on its Gunas.
    .
    .
    As during Our digestion our Pitta is heigh and kaffa is low so only water specially cold water'll drop the pitta and increase Kafa..
    In other hand Juices and lassi etc will increase pitta..
    .
    .
    Liquid is very important during meal as dry food also increases vata problems but it should be of Pitta prakriti not kafa prakriti....

      @@rsr9139 ayurvada totally based on commen sence nothing more I was drinking water during/after meal for 25 years of my life I never get any digestion problem after hear some youtubers I stop drinking water after/during meal only drink water 30 min before/after meal result I start getting bloting, constipation also little bit pain in my stumch that day decided I never going to trust ayurveda

    i agree with 100 percent i left drinking water to avoid dilute of HCL acid but the problem was that i was in my bulking phase so i have to eat every 2 hours so their was no time for water intake it started dehydration and indigestion

      No, it is not natural. How many of animals , birds, insects do you see eating and drinking together ??? And we have evolved from living in forests only. Do you really think that those living in jungles eat there meal with gallons of water ??? They would finish their meals first and then find the source of water. Our system is designed in the same way. One should drink only unless very necessary. That too just few sips.

      @@WeRStupid My dear I have done more study on this than you. Probably you don't even know the names I have mentioned in my previous comments or probably you have overlooked them. I have also mentioned the books. If you find some time to really learn then do read those books. If that is too much for you, I'll give you the page numbers as well so that will save you the efforts too. Also there is a term called "evolution" probably you do not understand that as well. By nature we had been designed to live life of jungle (all the animals for that matter). Just because now you are living in concrete jungle doesn't change that design. But definitely living in concrete jungles is taking us away from the ways for which this body is designed to live. FYI, raw meat would rather take more time and energy to digest than cooked meals at home. So that gives a greater reason to not drink water during meals.

    Drinking (in moderation) while eating will balance your food intake and will actually improve food digestion. This is why your doctor will always recommend drinking before and during meals

    Whatever I researched as per that water is more important for our body. If you drink 1 glass every 1 or 1 and half hour then don't take much water during meal. If you drink lots of water after and before half an hour of meal It definitely improves your digestion system. During meal you can take some water if meal is more dry one, if it have already some liquid then not required any water during meal. But lot of water during meal also definitely not good for digestion. Someone drink water with every bite to swallow the food which is also bad for digestion.

    According to Ayurveda , hame khana khane ke 1.5 hour baad pani pena chahiye kyunki khana khane ke 1.5 hour baad tak hamari digestive fire khane ko digest karwati hai par jab ham pani pe lete hai to digestive fire 🔥 bhuj jati hai jisse khana thik se nahi pachta aur khana khane se 40 minutes pehle hi pena chahiye but when we drink water immediately after having food ,it resuls into improper digestion of food which then results into formation of uric acid ,bad cholesterol etc.
    Jin western doctors ki resarch ki aap baat kar rahe hai vo khud hazaron prakar ki diseases se suffer kar rahe hai 😅😅.
    Btw sir , I really appreciate your work towards society.

    My dad always drinks at least half ltr of water after meals, I scold him a lot for this but he never listens. Although he didn't face any health issues so far hopefully will not in the coming days as well. But concerned about this habit

      Aap logo ne to insaan ko bhagwan bana diya, jese unki har ek baat sahi. Thoda aapna dimaag lagana hota hai, for example aap khana kha rahe ho aur jor ki hichki ayi hai aur paani pine ki turant need ho to kya aap paani nahi piyoge, need ko samajhna chahiye. Kisi ki baaton ko andho ki tarah follow nahi karna chahiye thoda aapna dimaag bhi use karna chahiye, dimaag sabke paas hai uska istemal karna chahiye right.     भाई साहब आपके ज्ञान की मैं कद्र करता हूं, लेकिन आप जो भी कह रहे है,उस मे बहुत फर्क है।क्योंकि दही में गुड़ बैक्टीरिया होते है,ओर छाछ की प्रकृति अम्लीय होती है जिस कारण वो पाचन में सहायक होते है। और आयुर्वेद में लिखा गया है कि अगर आप रूखा सूखा या भारी खाना ले रहे हो तो थोड़ा सा पानी साथ मे ले सकते हो और अंत मे भी थोड़ा सा पानी ले सकते हो,ओर छाछ अमृत के समान है वो आराम से पी सकते हो।5000 साल पुरानी चिकित्सा पड़ती

    मेरा खुद का अनुभव है खाने के आधे घंटे पहले पानी पी लेना और खाने के आधे घंटे बाद पानी पी लेने से कभी acidity और जलन जैसा नहीं होता है और पाचन भी बढ़िया होता है इसके पहले हर 6 महीने मे मुह आ जाना गले मे छाले होना यह सब कुछ इस प्रयोग चालू होने के बाद से बंध हो गया है इसीलिए खाने के साथ पानी नहीं पीना चाहिए

    Baat liquid ki nhi h sir.. but Jab hum kuch Hot food consume krte hain .. uske just baad Chilled water lele to us se bloting hojati hai😕

      The word used in astanghridayam is Vari means water.
      .
      During meal taking small ammount of water is ok but drinking alot water after meal will increase many types of poisons in your body including madhumeh (suger).
      .
      .
      Jatharagni means stomach acid including all the engymes.
      .
      Ayurveda(Ashtang hridayam) also states that if we drink Juice, milk, nimbu pani or lassi it'll not effect badly.

      I was also thinking the same but after a bit Google search I found out that this guy is right . There is no scientific evidence that consuming water after meals can cause digestion issues . Just google it out buddy .

    I have not been drinking water after meals for around 1.5 or 2 yrs..i have developed nausea issue..
    Now i will have half glass of water ..lets see what happens..

    i drink water 1hr after meals and my digestion has improved a lot
    earlier i use to drink it right after meals and it just hamper digestion..

    Sir ye before and after meal 1 hour wait is working... i tested on me..
    Yes, if we have Spicy things then during meal water is allowed else, acidity occur..
    And also to maintain weight digestion is integral part.
    It worked for me..
    U will get huge changes after 1 week.. as ayurveda theory takes time to form result
