They are not that rare. There's nearly 14,000 on the DVLA database, and the majority are mark 2 😅
The trouble is very few are on the road, 11,300 😱
A lot more will be scrapped in the next 5 - 10 years, many will be in better condition.
That said, I'm not saying this one shouldn't be saved 👍

What I like about this channel is, there’s no talking. They just show you the interesting bits, and just get on with it. 🫡

Same as the Cowsorth but without the turbos. First used in the solid old Cortinas, these tried-and-tested motors are very bulletproof.

Awesome place where to put an ECU, thumbs up for Ford engineers back in those days . Even if its hurricane outside you can still change your ECU and dont need to step out of the car :D

El Ford sierra es muy querido aquí en España y son coches que demuestran una y otra vez que están hechos para durar eternamente.

Wish we had these in the US. I used to have an ‘87 Ford Tempo sedan. Was light blue with a navy blue interior. Sold it around 8 years later for more more than I bought it for. It’s still on the road, but someone hit the current owner in a parking lot when he was gone, so there is some cosmetic damage on a front corner.
