I found your channel from the Jordan vs Lebron video you reacted to and I’m not gonna lie, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your face in real-time when he started going into into the advanced stats. But that’s no disrespect, I enjoyed it bc the same exact thing happened to me a few years back. I was totally in agreement with you about Lebron probably being the best ever…and I grew up in the 90s actually watching MJ! But in my case, I completely took for granted how insanely great MJ was. Bc whereas you young fellas never got watch him, something even more impactful to MJs legacy was experiencing the world during MJ’s prime. Up until he retired, I did not know a world where Michael Jordan wasn’t #1 unanimously considered not only the best basketball player in the world but the most dominate athlete in all of sports. And #2 never lived in a world where MJ wasn’t everywhere, all the time. So I never had a real understanding of just how incredible he was, until I watched basketball without MJ for 2 decades. Bc I wasn’t super into basketball anymore, and Kobe was amazing enough to not notice what was missing. So after all those years, to go back and watch a highlight reel like this…..Lebron is a guy way to fast for his size and extremely coordinated for his size. It makes for an almost unstoppable player. But Lebron’s size still creates a drop off in potential skill and coordination compared to a guy 3in smaller. And when you watch the stuff MJ can do that Lebron never could, you realize giving those 3in is definitely worth the trade off if you want to be the GOAT. It took me watching the same videos that you did to realize it, but watch a few more and it becomes clear that no one has ever had the level of athleticism combined with the level of skill MJ had…EVER. I’m sorry this is crazy long but I’m telling you, it’s not just the eye test either. But look, I was born in 86 and one of my first memories was cheering for MJ (bc, that’s the name I always heard on TV) and my dad and older brother both yelling at me, “You never cheer against the Cavs! Never! Understood?” (We are Cleveland natives if you couldn’t guess) And from that point on the early 90s Cavs and Mark Price became my 1st love. So, in 2003 when we won the ping pong ball lottery, I was ALL ABOUT drafting a guy who was “the next Jordan.” For 8yrs I wanted nothing in sports more than for Lebron to be better than MJ. Well, here we are and apparently he wasn’t the next Jordan, he was better than Jordan! But if someone from the future came back when we drafted Lebron and told me he would end up being a better basketball player than Michael Jordan and would play 11 seasons for the Cavs (the exact same number of healthy seasons MJ played for the Bulls) my first question would be “how many championships do we win? At least 6 right? Or even more than that?” The “future dude” could explain that he left a few years during his prime so we weren’t able to get as many as MJ got the Bulls (even tho MJ retired for 2 years in his prime) but I digress…I could definitely be talked into the notion that Lebron could win less rings for the Cavs in the exact same number seasons as MJ for the Bulls, BUT..still be better than MJ bc, obviously, there are going to be different variables that can effect the result of a season. And those variables could be entirely unrelated to how good Lebron was. However, there is no amount of variables that would ever convince me that it’s possible for the Cavs to have only 1 ring AND to have had a player better than MJ for 11 healthy seasons. Both those things cannot be true at the same time. Bc 6/11 vs 1/11 is too great a difference, we are no longer talking about “variables” we are talking about “excuses” at that point. The fact that Lebron was so hyped at such a young age makes what he has done one of the most impressive things in sports. What I didn’t really understand as just a kid, was just how crazy it was that MJ was that good. Look at the world now, no athlete has ever been the most recognizable person in the world since. I took it for granted that MJ was so famous bc that’s all I ever knew. But now that I’m 36yrs old I have context to world I experienced as a kid. And I now understand Michael Jordan was that famous, bc he was that incredible. And the reality is, Lebron never stood a chance. Why do you think he’s on his 20th full, healthy season and still trying to catch up in Finals wins, Finals MVPs, league MVPs, scoring titles, 1st team all defensive, (he’ll also never get a DPOY) he has half as many 40pt games, 1/3rd of the number of 50pt games, and 1/5th the number of 60pt games than a guy who played in 13 full, healthy seasons….if you made it this far, thanks for reading all that! At this point I feel like I’ve gone this far, I might as well finish my full argument for why this isn’t even a real discussion except for in the sports networks trying to drum up a debate that gets ratings. If they were honest, they would be debating Lebron vs Kobe to be ril rilllll

I’m just waiting for Lebron to announce that he’s bailing on his team again. Any day now. When the going gets tough, Lebron gets going. Can’t even make the playoffs with a team that HE engineered with four hall of famers. How dare anyone compare that loser to the ONE AND ONLY GOAT MICHAEL JORDAN! Lebron is the most overrated player in history. Time will prove me right on that.

Have to understand that MJ was a threat everywhere. You had to decide if you wanted to defend his jumpshot or defend against him driving past you, he was likely to do both. Play off and he just takes an easy shot, play tight and his first step was so quick he was already by you. Shouldn't be fooled by a pumpfake, but when the dude shoots from everywhere you don't know it's a fake.
that one you kept replaying and saying 1more time; the cameraman shoots over to the coach of the pistons and he has this bewildered look on his face and just puts his hands on the side of his head. He couldn't believe it. Hell I've seen it a few hundred times, I still cannot believe it.

Yes young man it was frkn unbelievable seeing MJ live. I've been to at least a 100 live games and the the thing that I feel made MJ like not other was that highlights like these were indicative of him on a nighty basis. He felt it was his duty to play every night, sick or hurt, because he felt he owed it to the fans to show them the best version of himself and he didn't want to disappoint a kid if that kid's only chance, whether it was a money or health issue, to ever see him play live. MJ dedicated much of his free time visiting kid's that were either just very sick, had cancer or were disabled. Mj was once quoted saying that those kids always made him smile, made him feel privileged to have met them, and that they gave him so much inspiration...

Grew up watching MJ and the speed he plays at, especially his hands, is unworldly! There was no HD quality back then, and they have to slow down the highlights just to appreciate how quick, explosive MJ was, before even talking about his hang time. And, what most have noticed, post moves, turn around jumpers, fadeaways & mid range game is absolutely perfect! And, Mike comes out to play each and every practice/games, for the love of the game and for the fans! #GOAT
There’s a clip of a Jordan scrimmaging with North Carolina, while recovering from his major foot injury. The one hand side to side layup to the basket, is quick, smooth and so unreal. There’s no one I’ve seen that can move(in the air) with that much control and hand speed. I saw it on “come fly with me”. Check it out, just don’t blink, as it happens soo fast!

If you were alive with functioning memory in the early 90s. It's not even a discussion to who is the greatest basketball player of all time. Jordan was different. Lebron himself will admit that, that's why he wore his number. The Miami Heat retired his number and he never even played for Miami. Lebron was one of the players that argued no. 23 should be retired league wide to honor Jordan. It's one of those things you have to live through it, there is not a sports figure alive today that comes close to Jordan's hype and aura in his prime. Today, Jordan is not playing, his team is pretty much trash, but his shoes still selling out. Jordan is different. His salary in the 90s was more than a teams set entire salary cap. 33m in a single season, only Steph Curry has been able to surpass his salary. Imagine if one man was getting paid 200m for ONE season next year, just one season not years ONE, that's the equivalent to what happened with Jordan in the 90s. That's just different. One man commanding that much money and a lot of people argued he was underpaid. UNDERPAID. But one of the secrets to a lot of these highlights, hand size. Jordan's hands are HUGE. Seriously he has some of the biggest hands in NBA history, so his ball control and ball fakes was different. The nastiest and most disrespectful one was the ball fake he had when he was an old man playing with the Wizards, he straight up little boy'd that man. People have been shot for less.

Having grown up watching Jordan, I can tell you at a certain point it was, you were just waiting for him to take over and win the game. You knew that was going to happen at some point during the game. So exciting, such an artist, his playing was the reason to watch basketball. When he left, a lot of us myself included were like, well what’s the point of watching NBA now? Now that I think about it, that’s when I really got more into watching NHL hockey.

If you watch all of those highlights and try to tell us that lebron is still better, you are out of your mind. 80% of the things that you saw Jordan do in those videos are things that lebron cannot do. Like, he never could do and never will do. Lebron doesn't have a low post package anywhere near what Jordan did. His midrange shot is nowhere near as good as jordan's was. He doesn't have a handle like Jordan. Michael Jordan was a perennial all defensive Team member and he won defensive player of the year. ...on top of being the greatest scorer anybody has ever seen. Do you know how hard it is to score 30 something points per game while playing g low-down defense? Jordan won 3 straight NBA titles, retired for 2 years, and came back to win 3 straight again. Unheard of. If he hadn't retired, he probably would have won 8 in a row. I respect the fact that you love lebron James. Butt, no same person who knows anything about basketball can watch a video like this and tell the rest of us that lebron is better than that. please.

Too many "if". 98 playoffs was all MJ when Scottie was injured proving that MJ can play fine without the latter. 2016 Warriors were good but vulnerable as exposed by KD and Westbrook Thunder, it was Love who was the true hero for Cleveland at that time. Lebron is just overrated and proven ring chasers given the fact he needed established superstar to win. MJ is named the GOAT by majority of players included the retired because his worldwide accomplishment never truly duplicated. MJ name on every sport as the symbol of excellence and legend truly means GOAT.
